We had a screw in the tire on the Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend. I called in the morning to a bunch of places and none could see me before Tuesday, which didn't help given that we were going away. I called Bob's who I found on Google and they said they had a 40 minute wait but I was welcome to come in and they'd fit me in. They did the work quickly and charged a very reasonable price. I went to Bob's Tires today for the first time. It was Saturday, so naturally they were busy. I can honestly say they are very organized and professional. My tires were installed and there were no issues or problems found like when you go to the dealer. Finally, I appreciate how they give you a price that includes installation, balancing and disposal, all-inclusive except tax. I plan to go back with another car soon. read more

Went for a flat today and they stared at me for 10 min and no one came out to help. There was no parking and I pulled in to where I could and they gave me attitude I'm blocking, well there's no room. Then one guy was gona move and he sat in the car idk maybe resetting a light nope other guy came out n waved for me to move out of the way. Like what a respectful way to tell a women who needs help that u didn't attend to to move. Waited 10 more min and im like so can u help me he goes we have tires we don't recommend putting it on I just walked out like I waited there for a while and no one communicated shit. Worst spot ever. Went there with my jeep wrangler for wheel alignment not only they couldn't do it which the next guy I took it to did no problem they tried to lie saying I needed a steering box which I have a spare costed me 180 they tried to charge me 900 for it or they can't do the alignment the guy said which is a lie my steering is fine they messed up my blinker cause it had water in it but STILL WORKED and tried to make excuses THE NEW BULB wouldn't work which I put a new bulb after I left my blinker works DO NOT GO HERE they're all scammers and don't know anything more than a oil change which I still wouldn't trust them and on top of it they have a nasty attitude and just dismissed me as soon as I didn't want their service they overcharge for NO PROFESSIONAL attitude from them what's so ever read more

DO NOT COME HERE AT ALL. I went to change my brakes one day after coming home from college. they took over an hour and a half just to change two brakes after coming at 8/9 am right when they opened. they completely ignored me and just talked my moms ear off instead of working on my car. so much so she had to leave me there just so my car could get worked on. I needed brakes changed and one light changed. they kept trying to charge me more and change brakes on every single one of my tires after I said two several times. then they tried to charge me $150 for an oil change. I never asked for one and I know how to do it myself so I don't ask for them but they kept insisting. I said no several times and they tired getting my mom on the phone to say yes. i OBVIOUSLY did not do it !!!!! insanely distasteful. the owner then came to me after me n my mom went back and forth how that oil change is way too expensive and he said I need to start listening to my mom more and I'm just a child. (I'm 22 years old). then they change the lightbulb and my car completely shut off and would turn on. now I'm here for about three hours waiting for a small job. people kept coming back after getting they're car fixed saying all the engine lights turned on as soon as they left or now a weird sound is coming from their engine. this is right AFTER they supposedly fixed the car so now I'm extremely nervous they broke my car. there is one guy who speaks mainly Spanish older guy who then fixed everything in my car along with some other helpful people. the light still doesn't work in my car and my brakes went bad after 4-5 months. I had to get both fixed so I basically paid 3x worth the price for two brakes and a light bulb. They're money hungry Dominican "mechanics" they're just trying to run their dads business with ought any knowledge of cars. read more

This review absolutely pains me. You have no idea how this hurts. I have been going to Bob's for 35 years. I would chastise friends or family members who took their car elsewhere instead of Bob's. So much that I trusted Bob's I brought my 18 year old son's car there 3 weeks ago to check brakes before he goes off to college. Now this! Well last August when my son got his first car I had Bob's put all new tires and brakes on his car. I then brought my Tesla in for all new Goodyear tires. Had a wheel alignment balanced and all. In February one of the tires was leaking air and I brought it back into Bob's they informed me that my tires were all shot that they had worn unevenly. So in 6 months I went through another set of tires. Last week, losing air in one of the tires I brought it back for the tire fix and rotation. I get there at 7:45 AM to be the first one there and I was. The young man takes my info at 8:05 and intel him I am going to wait. I actually think he says it will be a few minutes. So I know full well after going to Bob's for 35 years that they are busy and you don't just pull in and out. I get that. It is now 9:15 and my car has not even been touched. Now I am getting a bit annoyed. For a simple tire rotation and I know they are busy but still first come first serve. Now I am getting agitated and say to the young man as nicely as I could can you let me know when this can be complete so I can plan my day? He says should be half hour or 45 minutes. Now I am if you had told me this was going to be this long I would have not tried for today. Now a few minutes later he asks me how I am Paying for the tire fix cash or card. I say cash. Really? Seriously? That is the burning question. Seriously. The car had not even been looked at and you are asking about how I am paying for a tire fix that wasn't even confirmed. Been going there for 35 years and Bob actually when he was there would tell me don't worry about it. Bob was special and really got it. The guys he has in there now won't ruin his business but the level of service has been diminished. So finally my car is looked at and they promptly tell me all tires are shot. Ok now I lose it I really do. Three sets of tires in less than 12 months. I say I am done I am finished this is total bs. I am so done let me have my car back. The one guy playing manager comes to me says that I have a Tesla newer car and they tesla hasn't figured it out. He tells me not to Blame them that it's not their fault and I should take it to Tesla and have them figure it out. He says I need to take better car of my car and not blame them. Then it hit me. If I had taken advantage of the free tire rotation Bob's offers for the life of the tires I could have saved yet another set of tires so it really isn't their fault it is mine. Then I tell the guy every time I come here even for something minor or small it is a drama. Look I was first here at 7:45 this morning and it is now 10:00 and my car was just being looked at. You are kidding me right? He says what do you want we are busy. So it all has come full circle for me now. I am not the smartest or sharpest pencil in the box. It took me a bunch of times to realize that the free tire rotation really isn't free if you can never get it done or if you do go to get it done half of your day is shot. Cheaper is not less expensive. So I will now be going elsewhere and I can tell you right now before I even go to Mavis that my tires will be more expensive than Bob's I get that. But Mavis offers free rotation too and if I go there for a rotation my expectation is that I basically will be in and out or like within an hour and my half of my day won't be wasted. So I am sure Bob's will survive for generations to come. They don't need me and my long patronage. They will just be going it not on My back. Good luck and bye after 35 years. read more

I met Bob and his team about 5 years ago and started using them for all of my vehicles. After reading some of these negative reviews I felt compelled to write one that also answer the negative one. 1st my own experience Bob has alway given me fair pricing. He would explain the difference between the different style tires. What people do not realize is if you ask for a cheap tire he has it, so that is not his fault if you didn't want to spend the money. I think Not. No matter where you go unless you pay extra per tire for a warranty your TIRES ARE NOT COVERED. You damage you but another one. Than I read about the wait, really? When do you go to any to any mechanic and not wait. Most intelligent people would drop there vehicle off and wait for it to be done. If you plan to wait and want to be treated like royalty, pay the dealer rates and go to the dealer where you will have a pretty little girl behind the counter that will offer you coffee and treat u nice. Than the best one was the loose of the hub with pictures. Really you bring the car to a shop and disable the entire tire and rotors brakes etc. And say it there fault. Now we will address there customer service. Really if you truly have been there you would have a noticed that they have 3 service guys that dont even have a minute to shake there stick. The phone never stops ringing and people never stop coming into the location, Period. So what you have here is a Dominican man who came to this country years ago as a young kid and fulfilled his dream and built himself and empire in the tire business and now you have a few immature people who want to bash his business because he is busy as hell... You know what I have to say to you, go to the other place and get you vehicle worked on, because most likely he actually wholesale the tires to wherever you are buying them anyway. I've been coming here for years and always gave me the best prices. I moved out of the area and went to a Mavis by me and they said that don't plug/patch runflats. They can only sell me a new tire which would cost me about $500 for 1 tire! Next day I towed my truck to Bob's tires in Hawthorne NJ and they plugged it up for just $25. Just go to Bob's. i bought 4 tires on Thursday - went on a trip on Tuesday and had a blow out - had to get new tire while away - came back with picture of tire - Bobs told me he couldn't do anything but give me a me a new tire for cost / I took tire to two mechanics and they both said either a faulty tire or slow leak or valve not tight or not enough air but not blown out because of something we hit - i asked him to pay for new tire and do the right thing - he said there's nothing he could do - i've gone to bobs on numerous occasions over many years and as a customer i was just dismissed and it was my problem - way to go guys - no more business from me and no more referrals from me - No class read more

A great place to shop for tires. I was quoted a price of $400 at the dealer $325 from Mavis and they installed the tires for $245. Orlando and John were great and I was in and out in less than and hour. I would go back anytime and recommend them to anyone shopping for tires. Nice to know business still exist that want to help the customer and don't gouge on prices. The gentleman that replaced the tire was also very careful with my car and the wheels and made sure to check the air pressure in all the tires. I had my tire pressure sensors replaced here and they didn't reset them saying they reset themselves. The next day I call ahead to make sure they can reset them and they tell me that they guy to do it is here and ready. I get there 15 minutes later and he left! I have used bobs tires since my first car. And from there on have not changed. They are very honest and dont try to push on extra warranty or try to sell you an expensive tire. They put the tires you want. Their prices are very competitive. I like the fact that when u get a qoute thats the price u pay. No extra mounting fee,balancing fee,disposal fee and etc fees. They have also a mechanic on site. Sometimes we just want to get the tired changed and be on our way. Sometimes its not that easy. Their might be hidden problems and thats where having the mechanic on duty is helpful. Yes u have to wait. Sometimes hours. But oh well. Id rather wait and get it done correct. Dropped my car off a little after 8 am to replace a tire before going to work. I didn't hear back from them after a few hours so I called and they said it was almost ready. Called again 2 hours later and they once again said it was almost ready. Went back to pick up the car at 5 p.m. and THEY DIDN'T EVEN PUT THE TIRE ON YET! Incredibly unprofessional. They could have told me that my donut tire was no good or that the rim was no good but they didn't. their price for alignment was less than the honda dealer. I am a loyal customer. This is a first come first serve service, depending on the day and time of day it can get busy but they have great service. Tire repair around $15, they have new or used tires, I have a suzuki reno and for a new tire it cost around $70. Calling ahead of time to see if they have your specific tire for your car will be beneficial because they will call it in and have it in the same day, giving you a time it would be in. The employees are friendly and I haven't had any problems here at all. I recommend this place if you don't know or trust anyone else around the area. read more

What a great find! Not just tires...great auto repair as well. Overheard an auto parts dealer bragging about Bob's work and great pricing, so I headed right over. Prior, I received three estimates ranging from $1200-$1800. Bob's did the work for $485. Honest, reliable, great work and very inexpensive. Bobs tires is by far the best tire shop I've ever gone to. I've been driving for 30 years and have been to lots of small repair shops, but Bob goes over the top to make you feel like family and reminds me of the old-school way of being treated with such personal care.
