I started out with the 6 week challenge and I was a little nervous since I stopped being active for a few years and really gained a lot of weight. I've always played sports and done HIIT training but nothing compared to CF. I came in with an open mind and really took it all in. Sebastian and Tommy really took their time teaching us the foundations of CF throughout the 6 weeks and starting off our workouts with a PVC pipe. They make sure that you understand the movements fully before you move onto weights. I've finished my 6 weeks and have been in regular classes for a little over a month. This box is truly a family. Everyone welcomes you with open arms and genuinely cares about you. All the coaches are super knowledgeable and really take their time studying your movements and making corrections if needed or adjusting the workout to your needs. My favorite thing about this box is that they focus on fundamentals and teach all athletes to listen to their bodies. It's not about who can finish the WOD first or lift the most weight. Everyone is humble and there are all walks of life that come thru the doors. I'm getting stronger everyday with the help of the coaches teaching and pushing me and with the encouragement from the fellow athletes. I had gained a lot of weight due to the stress and cortisol that was released in my body along with not getting much good sleep at all for months. I knew my son would want me to grab a hold of my life and get things a bit back on track. I interviewed a few people and once I talked with Dara over a phone consultation I knew she was the perfect person to help me. I am now 3 months in and am the strongest I have been in years thanks to our strength training. I can lift my own luggage up into the overhead bin with no soreness. I can get up and down stairs fantastically now (even though I had a partial knee replacement 2 years ago). My mental health is more aligned with my goals of navigating this grief journey with moments of joy along with sadness. Dara is fantastic at adapting my workouts to my limitations and age. I know that the clothes will fit better and better as I continue the good work with her. The boot camp classes are offered several times a day, 3-5 in the morning and a few in the evening as well, making it easy for everyone. My favorite coach is Coach Kristy, she's really energetic, very positive and encouraging. She makes you know that you CAN do what she wants you to do, even though you think you're about to die. So far, my favorite class has been Boxing day.

I have issues with vertigo and don't have good balance even just standing on my feet, so being on my head for the first time in a new surrounding when I came just to stretch for a gentle yoga class was not at all what I had signed up for. Pretty disappointed all around and was shocked based on all the good reviews they got. The retreat was filled with great classes and outings. Wendy really pushes her students and retreat attendees in remarkable ways that build strength, flexibility, and over health and well being, but still is very chill, relaxed and fun setting. Its inspiring to see someone so dedicated to the yoga lifestyle. I hope to stay in touch with Wendy and Julius in the future to attend a yoga retreat.
