Tonight was my first ever cycling class with this studio and let me tell you it was an experience. We had the best of the best instructor named Kashmira she pushed us to our very best and worked with our levels as individuals. I unfortunately almost passed out white face and I thought I was going to the hospital... but Kashmira came out and made sure I was okay and that if I needed anything she was there for me. Honestly she didn't have to do that but she did! And after that experience I will always come back to take class at that studio from her! The owner is so lucky to have her as an instructor on her team if she didn't check up on me I don't know what could have happen to me!!! Your the best Kashmira Demi!! read more

Someone yells at you while you workout with a group. And you pay for it. Cycling, yoga, body resistance stuff, Pilates. Facilities are clean and well kept. Safer than riding on the street. 10/10 would recommend. read more

It's been about 1.5 years and 500 classes since I joined BodyBalance. I would never have thought I would enjoy rhythm cycling. But I gave it a try and although it took over two months for my butt to get used to the seat, I continue to be challenged each time I ride. I've taken all the classes offered at BB except for Pilates since it's not part of my membership plan. I initially joined to find a better workout and improve my health. I lost weight ( a bonus), met new friends and amazing instructors ( another bonus), became stronger in my core (Yes!). Can I stay up for an entire bike class? No, but I'm okay with that. I show up and try. I love that they have early morning classes. The front desk staff are friendly and the instructors are great. Kashmira, Kelsey, and Jonah -- during balance songs -- you don't know how much your words meant to me in my time of need. I keep coming back for the workout and enjoy the emotional and physical benefits. Find what works for you and don't be afraid to try something new. I've been going to Body Balance for a few months now for their Pilates classes. I absolutely love it. It's quite expensive and the space feels small, but despite that I love the large number and variety of classes to choose from, and ease of scheduling on their app. I've had a number of instructors but have to say Suz is my favorite by far. She takes the time to know everyone's name, and spends time correcting your form during class. I'm addicted! read more

Tried out the 3 free class trial for Kamaaina! You have 2 weeks to use the passes and can try any class you want. Scheduling on their app is a breeze. There are many classes to choose from and many times throughout the day. It's all about balance here and the variety is awesome! The instructors were friendly, welcoming, and provided great workouts. So happy that they offered lockers, restrooms, even hot showers. I tried the ass and abs class, which is like a core and glutes workout. It wasn't the most challenging class, however emphasis was on good/safe form and alignment. The cycle class was so fun and I was able to use the clip-in shoes for free as part of the trial. Usually it's $3 rental. Also tried the Pilates class and got a good taste of the studio overall. Recommend checking them out and seeing if this is the right fit for you! read more

1 year update: I have been loving the cycling classes for sometime. All the instructors are amazing. I usually take Kate, Kashmira, Chala, and a new additional person I've been seeing around is Lauren. All of them play great musics and works all of us HARD. I have been going about 4-5 times a week. (You will sweat like crazy. Highly recommend to bring lots of water and a towel) Ever since I have been going here, I feel more active and stronger. My weight is still the same (probably because I love food too much lol) but I do feel my core and legs more tone than a year ago. I still hate the parking around the area but if you really can't find any free parking, highly suggest parking at Whole food and walking over to the place. It's only a 5-10 minute walk/run. (warm up!) If I have enough time, I do want to try their Barre classes or other new classes that are popping up. Keep up the amazing job! read more

Started with the free classes for kamaaina to try Pilates. We were able to try a bunch of different classes from Pilates to cycling and really enjoyed it! The staff is super friendly and they always greet you with a smile. We are grateful for the instructors who helped us during our first times as we had no clue what we were doing! Hoping to become more of a regular here in the new year! Parking is a bit tough at the ward area but we only had trouble finding street parking one day. Usually it is pretty easy to park nearby. I absolutely love this studio!! The instructors are extraordinary and I really enjoy the small class sizes (10 reformers). You really get personal attention, especially when you are fairly new to the world of Pilates. SUZ kicked my butt in Pilates Reformer yesterday and I loved every minute of it. She was extremely patient when one day almost everyone was new to reformer Pilates. Demonstrated how everything worked, made sure form was on point and still did a KILLER work out. Recently got into reformer Pilates a month ago and couldn't skip getting some workout done while vacationing in Hawaii. Found this studio on Yelp and the reviews pushed me to try it out. Plus, they have a first timer 3-class set for $60 so why not?! Upon entering, I noticed the receptionist was on a call but I was immediately greeted by someone else and helped me check in. My first class was with Tricka (sub) and I loved it! The class was more intense than I'm used to but I look forward to my next two classes before I fly back home. I love BB so much, I just wish I had more time in my schedule to go. There are so many classes available, but I've only tried the reformer. Which is my fave. I love classes by Karah, Jayde, Maddy, and Sydney. That's actually the only instructors I've taken, but I will definitely take more with others. I love that the instructors allow you to go at your pace and they don't push you if you cannot do more. They're great at explaining how the machines work, and the transition form one move to another is a breeze. Attended my first reformer Pilates class today at Body Balance. It was very frustrating finding parking, the instructions they give on their website isn't detailed so I had to keep going around. I parked at Nalu Lani Plaza, costs about $2.50 for 3 hours. Then it's a 4 min walk to BB. It was my first time there, so it would've been nice to be shown around the place. The lady who checked me in gave a tour to the two girls who walked in 5 min after me, while I just sat there. The class is pretty small and holds less than 10 people. My 2 friends and I tried this place yesterday. It was great! While I was looking for a Pilates gym, I like that this place has so many different options and the pricing is reasonable. The scheduling was organized and seamless. You pre-schedule which equipment you're using and the instructor was really good. She went wound correcting your form. You also get a locker with a key to use for free. It is not pretentious at all. The guy Alex in the front was very friendly, mature and knowledgeable. Okay I've been going to classes for the past two and a half weeks now and I can safely say I absolutely LOVE Body Balance. I'm slowly working my way through each class they offer but I'll always be loyal to an early morning BodyCycle with Nat :) I especially love how inclusive the community they built is -- even though I'm still pretty new, I feel like I'm already part of the #bbsquad. Okay, I just keep adding to my reviews of this fab little place! I LOVE their cycle classes and recently ventured off to try their other classes and I am in love! I love the ease of their app where you can just view all the classes, pick what you want, reserve your spot and you are all set! Super Easy! You can pay via the app and everything. Recently I have tried their "Reformer Class", which is Pilates? lol.. I am still learning and it felt so good. I lift weights and do lots of a cardio so I felt I needed something more low key to stretch and target those super important tiny supporting muscles- and boy does this hit them! wowza! Great class for ANY level of fitness. I also have tried their Barre class and again, wowza! It targets everything! I have to be honest, I was thinking "Barre class", that is way to easy and ballet-ish for me. SO WRONG. It is not ballet and it is not easy. lol. TRY IT! The best thing about Body Balance? Their staff! They are so helpful. I have never experience a group of women that are sincerely there to help, assist, empower and make sure that the hour you spend with them will be amazing. Favorite part of my day is coming here. I lost motivation in weight training but I still love being active and feeling a burn. I've done mat pilates before and loved that before but never on a reformer so this was the best opportunity to try. I do the reformers class if I am wanting something more therapeutic (like yoga) and lagree if I want to sweat more. Haven't tried their cycling classes yet. I prefer some instructors over others. Some of the newer instructors bring a certain vibe to the room and I don't feel as welcomed by them compared to the OG instructors. All classes are beginner friendly. The best part about Body Balance is their schedule and flexibility! Super easy to get in a class. I love that I can access my account online and can cancel and reschedule MYSELF whenever. ALL my friends have been talking about spinning, and I really wanted to try it out. I was considering getting an at-home bike (you know which one I'm taking about), but I really wanted to try a class first before making the purchase. I tried one class here, and it was life-changing. Yes, it's HARD. But it's so incredible. I felt so proud of myself for getting through my first ever spin class, and the instructor (Lex) was so encouraging and full of energy. She and the staff helped me set up my bike, assured me it would be great, and all-in-all were incredibly supportive. FAST FORWARD TO TODAY - I'm addicted to cycling. I crave the burn and the endorphin high and I JUST CAN'T STOP. I love how it gets my heart rate up - I love that there's fun music and lights - I love how it's a time just for me. I particularly love Kashmira's class and Lex's class. Such amazing women - so happy to have connected with them both. I will no longer be buying the at-home system and will be sticking to my in-person classes because I looove these instructors and the energy in the studio. I have also taken the reformer class and ALSO loovveee BootyBurn (taught by Brandy)!!! BootyBurn is so hard but you can just TELL it's good for you. It's a mix of cardio and barre, so it's an epic-ly tough 60 minutes LOL. I suggest you try it out too!!! There's one bathroom (it's a smaller studio), and a little area to stretch/chill before/between classes. Usually I go straight in the class area and stretch though. There's also a water filter system that you can use to fill your water bottle! YAY! Last (but certainly not least) - the studio maintains COVID social-distancing standards for sure! The class sizes are limited due to COVID, and we are all required to wear our mask! There's hand sanitizer everywhere too :) Every person I met working here has been amazing, and I am so happy to have found this place. So so grateful for the wonderful vibes here. Right now, the class times are more limited than previously (last class starts at 5:30pm). I'm hoping that they offer earlier classes and later classes eventually as the world reopens so that I can attend more classes! read more

I first tried out Body Balance with their $99 for newbies. It gives you a chance to try out the various classes without breaking your pocketbook. To be honest, I only tried out two different classes. Once I tried their BodyCycle class, I was hooked. They have several instructors each with their own unique style. My personal favorite is Katie. Such a good vibe and she plays great music. Parking is limited in front of the studio but there are options within walking distance. I just make sure to get there early. The place is clean with nice little personal touches such as a cold towel for after your class, coffee and little snacks in case you need a little fuel before or after your work COVID UPDATE: I'm grateful for BodyBalance during this crazy time of uncertainty. They've been able to roll with the tide and make adjustments to continue to provide virtual classes. They provide as much support as they can to include renting out equipment so that you have all you need for their classes. I love my BB family! read more

I signed up for the beginner 12 classes for $100. It comes out to less than $10 per class. That's a deal! I love spinning so a friend of mine suggested this place as they are supposed to have great classes. The studio rooms are fairly small. I think the spin class hold 12 bikes. The other studio hold about 10. This weekends spin classes were full so I decided to try the BodyBLAST class. This is a HIIT class. Although I'm a gym rat, me and cardio usually don't mix. Of course I was the only guy with 5 other fit women. The small classes make it more intimate. I really liked it. The 45 minutes went by really fast. But it was brutal. Maxine the instructor was really good. She was really motivating and explained the exercises really well. I can't wait to try the spin classes. I will continue the BodyBLAST also as I am determined to get thru the whole class without dying ! read more

Body Balance has the best of everything all under one roof - the best facilities (modern, clean, well-maintained), equipment (new Body Cycle indoor cycling bikes, hand held weights, TRX, reformers), and experienced instructors. Best of all, it's a multi-disciplinary studio - they offer spin classes, pilates, HIIT, TRX, etc. Some classes have two types of workouts in one class (30 minutes of cycling, 30 minutes of strength training). Best of all, you aren't locked into a membership. Sure it's advantageous to become a member (better pricing), however, if you can't come here regularly, you can buy packs of classes so you can drop in whenever you want. BB offers a lot of different workout classes to fit your preference & I've tried almost all of them over the years! My top 3 are definitely: Cycling (of course!), Booty Burn & HIIT. The Pilates Reformer classes are popular, but just not my preference for workouts. I love upbeat classes that get you sweating! Someone is always at the front desk to check you in and help you get settled. Kashmira is one of the owners and she is personable & funny! Only downside to this place is that there is limited parking, but it is free! Sometimes I parked at Whole Foods across the street which is about a 5min walk away. Overall I would come here more often if I lived closer by. But I can see myself returning here and there for cycling classes in the future :) read more

I am such a cheater when it comes to gyms! I open and willing to try any work out type and place and thats how i ended up here today! A super popular teacher from Core Power (Troy) and some people from the old management from F45 are teaching here so they kept telling me to try it and even gave me coupons for a free class! I finally decided to come and when i do it turned out the the coupon expired and there wasn't any free first class anymore :( On the good side, i know the owner of the gym so i texted her and she was so awesome to let me try it + a friend for free :) (Gracias Maria!) I tried their cycling class (of course with Troy) and it was my first spinning class ever! I loved it though and the teacher matters a lot too!! Now i am having second thoughts if i should keep my CorePower membership + F45 because the unlimited in Body Balance is $499 a month and i am already paying $350+ a month for 2 gyms... decisions, decisions!!! The only thing that i wasnt a big fan of is the parking (only 8 stalls) and finding street parking in that area could be challenging... But i think i will come back to try their other classes and maybe replace one of my current gym memberships with this one? read more
