I have worked with Fiona for the past 4 months. I went through a 6 month session with Fiona. It was one hour of training per week and 2 times a month of mental coaching. She was very helpful, genuine, and patient. I knew I needed some work to love myself and push myself forward to be more fit. It's all about clearing negative thoughts and the past so that the future will be better. I met Fiona by pure chance--at a time when I had just been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, after five years of intestinal pain of unknown origin. I was not searching for help, knowingly. I actually contacted Fiona for a project, but when I learned about her path, expertise and philosophy, I didn't want our limited, informal interview to be my final interaction with this inspirational woman! So, she offered to speak with me again, to show me a bit more of what she does. Next, I enrolled in her 6-month program. Five months later, I was re-tested. Fiona was recommended to me at my gym, and I have to say they made a good call. When I work with a trainer I need someone who is motivating, non-judgmental, inspiring, and knowledgable. Fiona is all of that and more. Time flies during our workouts because they are fun, well thought out, and I never know what is next. I think working with a trainer is important because otherwise we get stuck in a rut and do the same routine over and over again, or we just jump on a machine and get bored. Fiona is constantly introducing me to new ways of working out which keeps me on my toes, and also keeps me very challenged. Never a dull moment. Fiona is wonderful! I signed up for the 7-day Love Your Body Cleanse so that I could jumpstart healthy eating and weight loss. It was through a private facebook group where Fiona could post daily affirmations and support us through the cleanse. She prepared us with a week full of delicious recipes and a great guide to help us stay on track. Best of all we were eating real, whole food. I never felt deprived, just nourished and energetic. I love that each day focused on a different Chakra to help cleanse our mind and spirit, along with our bodies. Fiona was inspirational, helpful and so sweet! I've had Fiona as a personal trainer for almost a year, now also training my husband and me in a couple's work out at our home. Fiona is great! I have been taking Belly Dancing classes with Fiona for approx. 2 years, and as the saying goes time flies when you are having "FUN." Belly Dancing with Fiona is fun and an excellent workout using muscles you never really use on a daily basis or knew you even had. I love Fiona's teaching style and approach which is patient, nurturing, supportive, encouraging, and empowering for me as a woman. She is not like many super rigid strict dance instructors which I have had a chance to experience in my past. Fiona gives me the freedom to be creative in creating my own Belly dancing moves/routines and towards the end of class gives each one of us the opportunity to lead the class in a routine of Belly dancing movements that we have already learned. There is no pressure but very empowering for me since initially I was a bit afraid at starting something new like Belly Dancing. It is low impact and great fitness/exercise for everyone. Fiona teaches a traditional Tribal style Belly Dancing but I love that she also incorporates various dance styles like Hip hop, with various music, and we also use props like the Zills, Hip scarves, and Veils....Belly dancing is also a great way to learn Rhythm. Classes with Fiona never gets boring because she is constantly building with new routines and movements. It is by far one of my Favorite classes to go to on my Monday evenings and it definitely balances me out with all my other vigorous fitness that I do. If you haven't tried this class I highly recommend that you do. Fiona makes class FUN to go to plus I get a workout too! :D read more
