I have been getting laser treatments frequently over the last 10 years. I started out at a little place that closed down within a year. I found my way to Body Details initially for a tattoo removal service, which has gone quite well! Due to the color of ink, I've had to have several treatments, but I am very satisfied. My laser hair removal treatments are very successful in that if I keep my appointments, my hairs are treated at the right stage of growth, and I see the areas where destruction has occurred. There are two technicians who treat me, Katrina and Sasha. They are both absolutely amazing! They are both very thorough, they take their time, and have amazing techniques. They are both attentive to when a break may be needed, and give you a minute to breathe. They both also make you feel very comfortable if you are exposing areas you may be embarrassed about. I am on my fourth session of laser and I love it! I can already see the results. The rates are pricey but it is for a true candela laser which is the only machine I've seen results with. Many other places quote cheaper prices but for different machines that don't work like this one (I've tried others). They are always on time for appointments and I am usually in and out quickly. I signed up in 2017 and was about halfway through my treatment and got pregnant. Obviously I had to pause (while still paying monthly although I was not being treated, of course) then I had my baby in March 2018 and got pregnant once again when my first born was 5 months. I couldn't receive treatment once again until after I was done breastfeeding my 2nd child. I went yesterday as I have now gone about 2 times or so post my children to find out that the nearly $9,000 I paid for full body laser lifetime isn't lifetime. So, the system was blocking the lady from allowing me to do an appointment as I hadn't presented my children's birth certificates. Fine, no problem. The issue is that lifetime is not lifetime. Once the 3 year period is over, you can only go once a year for touch up. Now, thank God my hair didn't grow back the way it was before due to the hormonal changes in the body. But, still... those of you who are sold on the idea that it is "lifetime" DONT BE FOOLED like I was. I completely regret signing with Body Details. Their corporate culture just goes to show in the rotation they have with girls in the office. I've gone a total of probably 7 times and have been attended by 3 different technicians. Because I paid, I'm going to make sure my voice is heard so that others don't make the mistake I made. A positive: all 3 technicians have been very nice and made the process run smoothly. Do your homework, people. Shop around. This is a place where they're just looking to expand locations (more money) and most definitely do not care about employees or customer satisfaction. Also, to clarify what the owner wrote. Yes, you can go back once every 52 weeks for the lifetime. However, if you still have hair, once every 52 weeks isn't going to cut it. Don't buy it. I used to wax for years and was tired of having to wax every month so my friend Jossy at BD recommended to try laser hair removal. I initially went in for a free consultation last year and now I'm going on my 6th treatment. I've gone to three of their locations due to my schedule and I now only go to Katrina in the Kendall location, she truly is amazing and she makes me feel comfortable throughout the laser process. Does it hurt? Yes but very little, Katrina makes sure the laser settings are at a level I can handle. I recommend laser over waxing or shaving any day, waxing hurts more and you are pulling on your skin when you wax which is not good in the long run. If I would have known sooner of how great the laser hair removal is, I would have done the laser years ago.
