I did a quick search on Yelp and saw that Massage Crystal in Crofton, MD offered massages. Since it was extremely short notice, I wasn't sure if he would be granted an appointment. Nevertheless, I gave them a call and was pleasantly surprised they had availability for my husband. The customer service I received on the call was professional and helpful. The day of the appointment, he arrived on time and was set up in one of the massage rooms. He said he had a wonderful massage and would absolutely come back in the future. The shop itself was very modest and straight to the point, no big thrills or frills, but it works! They only offer massages, but just know you'll receive a wonderfully relaxing massage if you plan to visit. My recent experience was disappointing, and I would advise against purchasing gift certificates for this establishment. Despite scheduling a 60-minute massage a week in advance, communication was poor--I had to follow up via email as calls were not answered. On the day of my appointment, I was instructed by text to wait in my car until called. After waiting past my scheduled time, I entered the building and was met with an unfriendly reception. I was told my massage time would be reduced by 10 minutes due to being "late," despite following their instructions. I said, look at your camera you can see I have been in my car more than 20 minutes early for my appointment. I was then informed by a staff member they only saw a truck which I stated I was in VW bug on the other side of the truck! The time was rushed; I didn't even have my clothes all off before the masseuse barged back into the room. My requests for specific areas to be addressed were ignored several times. The staff were not welcoming, and the environment was not relaxing either. This wasn't the experience my friend hoped for when she gave me a certificate to mark my eight years cancer-free. Unfortunately, I made sure to contact my friend who gave me the gift certificate and tell her about bad experience. I will not return and do not recommend Barefoot Wellness in Prince Frederick, MD. If you're considering Annapolis, I recommend visiting one of the Wellness Houses there. You'll be treated well and leave feeling renewed.

The only caveat is the schedule booking further out because it's her business. Which people will simply have to deal with, because it is what it is. She's not an octopus. I was extremely tense upon arrival and she did some great work to relax my muscles a bit before doing the deep tissue.
