Tremendous! I've been working with Frankie after a series of injuries and planned surgery. I have limited ROM and balance issues as well as a bit of weight gain/muscle loss due to rehab. This studio has been a game changer for me, my flexibility, balance, and confidence. Everyone at this studio is so kind and welcoming and lovely. I've been able to get back to my regular gym with confidence and the Pilates sessions add to my ability to participate in regular things like hiking and walking for miles without worry. I've learned so much about my small muscles and the difference a lot of focus can make on success. Frankie is very patient with me as I grow into my love for Pilates. Body Pure Pilates is easily the best Pilates studio in Columbus. I live in Chicago, but travel to my hometown in New Albany several times throughout the year. Each time I go home, I take several classes at Body Pure. I love it! It's a Classical Pilates studio which means that the style they teach is derived right from Joseph Pilates repertoire. Not to disregard contemporary or fusion studios, but Classical is REAL pilates; which in my opinion, comes with the most physical and mental challenges for those that seek a mind-body connection and for those that want fitness results. The studio has the best machines in the pilates industry - Gratz. Pilates enthusiasts know that this is important because dimensions on the apparatus matter; and the reformer should be hard to bring all of the way home and the springs should be hard in order to really push your workout and elongate your body. The owner and teacher extraordinaire, Frankie Clancy, really prides herself on having the best of the best at her studio. It shows. The teachers are also a big reason that this studio is so great. There is a volume and variety of teachers to work with so you can get a private or join a multitude of group classes at your connivence. Each teacher covers all apparatus in their sessions, too. It's not just reformer. You will work on the Tower, Cadillac, Chair, etc. which is the perfect experience as a student: you get to cover a lot - and the time just flies by! It is truly as Frankie says: "Welcome to the best hour of your day." I highly recommend taking lessons at this studio. Try out a Mixed Mat class or get a bundle of private's to build up your acumen and then join a weekly group class. It's a fun place to go and your body will thank you for it. read more

I'm so happy I found Body Pure Pilates! I am not athletic, I'm not in shape, I can't follow along to any workout-at-home DVD's, I hate exercise classes and I think Cross Fit is dumb (like seriously, who throws weights and grunts? We aren't cavemen.) But after repeatedly being told by my Doctor to try Pilates for my weak pelvic muscles, I decided to do 1 private session (just so my doctor would leave me alone about it) and I totally saw how this was the perfect exercise for someone like me who absolutely hates to exercise but has to do SOMETHING to get stronger. Pilates will kick your butt and make grown men cry. It will also clue you in to your body and teach you all kinds of things about yourself that you didn't know before. Pilates will strengthen your core and more! For me, it's working much better than current physical therapy treatments. read more

I went yesterday for my first session with my Pilates instructor, Jacquie, who also is the owner of this studio. I was blown away by the facilities and the workout. The reformers are brand new and high quality. The staff is professional and already quite busy even though they just opened their doors. There were 4 instructors present, each working with different clients but it was quiet and easy to concentrate. The space was just built out and is clean and new. It's been decorated sparsely and feels very Zen. It's a little out of the way, but only took me about 10 minutes to drive there from downtown. Jacquie was a pro and immediately drew me in and made me feel comfortable there, even though I am a beginner. I will be coming back soon and often. read more

LOVE this studio! I was a newcomer to Pilates two years ago, facing back problems without solutions. I was immediately welcomed and put at ease in several private sessions. Two years later, I still go two or three times a week to semi privates and mat classes. The instructors are among the best nationally and internationally, as well as super friendly and knowledgeable. After some time trying to get signed up for classes that worked within the schedule I was finally able to meet the owner Frankie who is super nice. I was able to visit today and work with one of the apprentices, Mel who was great! The studio is beautiful and they offer a variety of Pilates classes. I can't get enough of this place! I've been going for a couple of months now and not only do they make me feel right at home every time I walk through the door but my body feels amazing! I'm a runner and I've had problems with my hammies, hips, and feet and Sandi has been working out all of my problems! I can tell a difference in my running already and I'm just getting started. Love this place! I lift about six days a week and was looking to do something to tone and gain flexibility. I am happy to say that I am more flexible and much more toned! The cleanliness, broad range of equipment and non equipment exercise options and staff makes this the absolutely best option for Pilates in all of Columbus.
