I can only speak to my one-day visit there, but I want to give special mention to Aidan Lambert, who is a credit to the entire gym at Easton. I was visiting a friend and wanted to train. Signup was smooth, gym was clean, the equipment that I used was well-maintained. As I was walking out, I saw some trainers stretching and doing some mobility work for other members. I told the guy at the desk (Aidan) I was not going to be back but would love to have some stretching work done, if possible. He immediately took the opportunity to work me into his schedule on no notice and very competently addressed the hip and lower back issues I have for about 40 minutes. I'm in and out of stretch labs, chiros, massage therapy pretty frequently and with his skill set, I was in less pain and more mobile than I have been in years. Thank you Aidan! read more

Parking can be scarce during holidays.. 3 stars. Front Desk Staff: Employees are very friendly and willing to help. 5 stars. Locker Rooms: Area was well-kept and clean. A lot of lockers to choose from and they have integral combo-locks, which is nice! Mouthwash, cologne, soaps, and towels are all included. 4 stars. Weight room: This gym has everything I need to get a full workout as a bodybuilding competitor, EXCEPT for a real Hack-Squat which is essential for quad development and a plate loaded loaded iso-lateral row machine, which is normally standard for a gym. Weight area can get crowded, so try to avoid coming during busy hours: 8-9am and 5-6pm. 4 stars. Conclusion: This is a good gym. From the outside this gym has everything to be one of the best gyms in Ohio! The price definitely reflects that as well, paying well over double what you'll pay for any other gym in Ohio. But there is absolutely no gym etiquette whatsoever. There are dirty towels everywhere. Nobody will re-rack there weights. People that go there spit on the floor, talk extremely loud on FaceTime, and if you try and relax in the steam room they will come in naked and put peppermint under the hose so it burns your eyes. Other than not having any gym rules whatsoever the gym trainers will blow up your phone until you have to switch your number even though multiple times said I would just like to peacefully workout. Easily the worst gym in columbus for all of these reasons. Had to transfer after only a few months. Dom the rock climber trainer is the only positive thing about this gym. The pickleball lady yelled at me for walking in during league hours and I never returned to the courts. I just wish I could get the last few months of my life back. We had been members here for 10 years and had enough. The wife went during the morning times and loved it, classes were great and service was good. I went at night and its like stepping into another world. They had issues with friends sneaking friends in to play basketball, and they were all loud, obnoxious, and dirty. I was in the locker room when a fight broke out because one disrespected another. The fees here are out of line, how are they still in business charging so much? It also seems like they are offering deeply discounted rates for nearby apartments and cabbies as it is groups that seem to go together. The place has gone down hill ever since we joined, and glad we left. This was presented as a high end club with top notch amenities, and that may have been the case back when it first opened but now its devolved into an unpleasant place especially at night. I overheard a few women comment they will not even go at night for fear of being harassed or attacked. That is pretty concerning. read more

I've only been in as a guest so I can't speak to any membership specific benefits. The place seems really nice, lots of equipment and options. I really enjoy their stationary bikes. It's conveniently located and attached to a parking garage. My biggest complaints would be that there seemed to be a lot of trash (peoples cups/bottles and sanitizer wipes) laying around. Pretty gross. I know that's a reflection of the clientele but also maybe an employee needs to make some housekeeping rounds. Other thing is that the sanitizing wipes are crap. Completely dried out. An ex-member of over 10 years, I personally watched the quality of the gym experience decline. This gym is in shambles. It's a shell of itself and at 3x the cost. One hottub will always be down due to "maintence". There has been poop in the shower and steam room multiple times. I've been a member here for over 20 years, and they repay with the loyalty with non-stop price hikes called "legacy bumps." My membership costs more than 3 members that I know signed up August. The company is very shady as a whole. That starts at corporate in Minnesota. I was sent a 2500$k check as part of a class action lawsuit brought against them back in 2020 for their predatory practices. The only bright spot at this particular location is Paulo. They don't treat their workers well at all, either. Overworked and underpaid. It's a terrible company top to bottom. The pickleball courts here are very minimal budget renovation. An epoxy rolled over hardwood courts instead of concrete. Save your 120$ plus and go to esporta for 30$. This gym is anything but luxury. Stock plummeted all year with 20 percent drop in October. They are hemorrhaging, and members will pay for it with increases. read more

I used to belong at Urban Active, then I took a long hiatus from working out, and now I belong at Lifetime. There are other factors at work here, such as a change in work location from Reynoldsberg (where the New Albany Urban Active was pretty convenient) to Easton, where Lifetime is very convenient. I've worked out at Lifetime Fitness facilities before on work travel, and I was impressed - pool + a nice work-out facility (the Urban Active pool sucks - if you want to do anything beyond getting wet, you're better served elsewhere). My local Lifetime....I showed up to learn about membership, and I had an experience typical of many other gyms I've visited, where I've asked "how much for a membership" and I've gotten every evasive answer under the sun. I swear, gym sales people are the worst! I was diverted into a waiting area by the front desk, where I waited, and waited, and waited. And never really got my questions answered by a meathead behind a desk. I walked out. But a few weeks later, I returned. I learned that my meathead sales guy had either left or been let go. And I was teamed up with a sales guy who seemed to understand the phrases "I am in a hurry" and "No, I don't need a tour." He seemed shocked that anybody would want to sign up for the gym in as little time as possible, but he did it. And then he signed my wife up in much the same manner. A plus to me. The facility is a carbon copy of a place I worked out at in Houston. Nice pools, nice cardio, not quite enough weight lifting equipment, but still a top-notch facility. I'm not into the classes, but I'm sure they're nice. A very nice locker room a super convenient location at the mall, except during the holidays, when it sucks ass getting into the parking garage. So reading through I found a bunch of old reviews about the prices being very high (ranging from $100 to $120) a month. Just thought I should update everyone that if it was true then it is not the case any more. I've been a member of Planet Fitness ($20) 24 hr fitness ($45) and a member of Lifetime for almost 2 yrs now. The $60 membership fee is in fact higher than both the other gyms but I will tell you you get what you paid for. They have absolutely everything you need or would want to try. A pool, 2 hot tubs, steam room, sauna, rock climbing wall, racquetball courts, basketball and volleyball courts, complimentary towels and shampoo/body wash. Their trainers and nutritionalists are very knowledgeable, helpful and always there to answer any questions you may have about your health and fitness goals. I've trained with Greg, Kevin and Samantha, all of which have different techniques but the same goal in mind. They have an array of free classes spanning from morning to evening ranging from dance, yoga, strength, barbell fitness, cycling, boxing, kickboxing and even aquatic Zumba. They also have some paid classes like swim lessons and private trainings that are definitely worth it. My family of 4 join a month ago and it's been a headache. My husband and I toured lifetime with my two children and we told lies! They told us the slide in the pool area can be turned on when asked, lie. We were told we would get free swim lessons (one month) for each child, lie, we've been billed twice now in one month's time and still haven't been reimbursed for the first charge. The very first time we checked our kids into the child center our kids were turned away because they didn't have socks on, no one ever mentioned anything about socks during our tour with our children. Once we were exactly two minutes late and they would not let our children do the rock walk class for kids. The list goes on..... Find another gym this is not even close to a 5 star rating. read more

I am giving this 5 stars because of the personal trainer Patrick Wastler here! Patrick was our free welcome meeting that you get when you sign up. He was great! He was very friendly, very easy to talk to (not so buff and cocky about it that he was looking down on us). He was attentive and listened to our goals and he knew his stuff and helped us find what we should do to achieve those goals the best way. We are currently tight on money so we couldn't afford the memberships plus a trainer, but after telling him that he still met with us a couple times just to help us out! He even saw us working out and had some free time between clients so he just came and helped us out with our form on some exercises! In one word if I had to quantify this facility, "unbelievable" and not in a good way. My wife and I came in on a Saturday afternoon to take a tour of the facility and see what the membership rates were. Prior to our visit, we'd gone to LA Fitness on Hamilton Road to see what they offered as well. When we were speaking with the fitness associate, he told us to stay away from Lifetime due to the high likelihood that the rates would be higher than theirs. I appreciated the closing attempt, but still wanted to shop around. Now, back to Lifetime... As my wife and I were waiting, the facility was very clean and the selection in the cafeteria they have was nice. Then we were approached by Cindy Heck. She was the person who was to assess our fitness aspirations and go over their packages. From the very beginning of the conversation, she came off as disingenuous and a "going through the motions" type of employee. There were many long pauses in the conversation as if she couldn't relate to us and was forcing herself to continue speaking. She told us that we'd take a tour of the facility and she'd give us lunch on the house. We were surprised by this and thought this was starting off pretty well despite the initial interaction. We get into her office and the conversation is going smoother at this point, until she decided to go off course into a discriminatory diatribe of non-Lifetime fitness members. We'd told her that we used to be with Urban Active before LA Fitness' acquisition. (Keep this in mind) She tells my wife and I that we look like Lifetime members already. We were confused. She said that we were both good looking and that we would fit in well at Lifetime. I was perturbed, because last I checked, when you go to workout, you're not concerned about fitting in, you're concerned about getting fit. She said, "You should see the people who come in here sometimes, with their pants sagging and they look dirty too. The kind of people that would work out at Planet Fitness/LA Fitness." Her "smart" sales pitch actually betrayed her own ignorance. I mentioned earlier that we used to work out at Urban Active (now LA Fitness) so she insulted us right to our face. What does a Lifetime Fitness member look like? I thought people from all walks of life came together in one place to achieve their personal goals. I guess Lifetime Fitness is a class based society where you have to look the part to participate. She then goes into the monthly rate of $116.00. Since she revealed her own discriminatory thoughts I thought it wise to test her just to see her reaction. My wife and I said that this was outside of our budget (which it wasn't) and she rolled her eyes! Such poor customer service!! The root of the matter is money with Lifetime Fitness. Sure, it's a business and you're in it to make money, but when you treat people badly before you've even gotten to know them, based only on what they look like, you reveal how ugly you are. She is a disgusting person and she has no respect for people or her work place. Case in point, a workout partner brought her a shake and when she took the straw out of the wrapper, she threw it on the floor instead of the trash can right next to her. To whoever reads this at Lifetime: You just PERMANENTLY lost a customer with a LOT of connections who will recount this story to any and everyone. I left Urban active about 6-months ago because the staff was unfriendly and the gym was way overcrowded! There was never parking, it was not good! I have loved Lifetime at Easton for the past 5-months. Great staff, very clean, not overcrowded! Easy parking, etc. Recently, they have been offering free 7-day passes and trying to increase membership. Suddenly, it's becoming like Urban Active, the gym floor is becoming overcrowded, you can't find a locker, there is a definite difference in the type of person being drawn in. It's not the usual Easton working professional. I think they have to ask themselves what kind of environment they want to create? Keep it like it was, professional, busy but not too busy, perfect! Or do they want to become Urban Active a huge impersonal gym that appeals to "EVERYONE" and becomes just another oversold club! I say,.. if it is not broken, don't try to fix it! read more

Yes, a ton and a lot of benches Do they have weight machines and cardio equipment? Yes, a probably more than any other gym I've been to. Is this place clean? Yes, spotless!!! Do they have a nice staff? Definitely!! Customer service all the way here. So what don't they have? I know...they don't have a great, affordable monthly membership here. Monthly memberships here are around $120??? My Gold's Gym membership, 24 Hour Fitness membership, EP Gym weekly pass, and Liberty Gym weekly pass doesn't even total $120 a month. I'm not local so I opted for a day pass. $45 per day?? Are you kidding me? Good thing I was staying at the Marriot where I was able to get a $35 dollar per day discount. Sweet!! There's currently one Life Time Fitness in Las Vegas, soon to be two. Some people are willing to pay the hefty monthly membership and some are not. Life Time does have a lot to offer, but you have to pay for it. I can get a good workout at most gyms just a long as there's enough weights and the cardio equipment is working. If you want or need everything that Life Time Fitness has to offer, then don't let my review discourage you. I love what they have to offer. I'm a big box gym fan in the sense that I love being able to work out 24 hours a day, go to a gorgeous outdoor pool and get dressed in a clean, well lit locker room. For someone who is at the gym all the time, it is nice to never wait for a machine and always have people around to ask questions. The food in the cafe is really good but I wouldn't spend the money on the over priced snacks or drinks. I just bring my own. Not having any children in the fitness areas is another huge plus for me, not that I dislike children, I just prefer to have no distractions and get my workouts done. For only $6/month per child, you get 2 hours of child care a day. I would say that is a pretty good deal. There are also tons of activities and things for kids during the day. The odd thing is the completely different clientele between Easton and Dublin Lifetime. I'll just leave my comment to that. The pools are nice and clean so are the steam rooms and saunas. The facilities are the best in the area, without a doubt. However, MAN! ARE THEY GREEDY! Its like the 60+ a member pays a month is just not enough, they will try to swindle you out of everything they can. There were numerous instances through my tenure where I was a little taken aback by the continuous "Why don't you buy this" or "Why don't you use this session", but my experience at the very end was the nail in the coffin! After letting my relationship manager know that I would be leaving the city at the end of the month, and asking him to cancel my membership, I was charged for the next month. I was surprised by that, and called them to let them know that they did not process the cancellation. To my surprise, there is an all important signature that I forgot, due to which the cancellation was not processed. Furthermore, the additional $65 is that important to the gym that they are still not ready to put in a cancellation with a prior date. When I tried to reach a supervisor, I hit her voicemail like 3 times, and never got a call back. After numerous unanswered voice mails and emails, I finally had to dispute the charge via my credit card agency, and file a report with better business bureau. Hoping to find a resolution fast. So. Worth. It. I drive to Life Time Easton from German Village at least once a day. I can't stop raving about this facility. I belong to the Athletic Club of Columbus, I was briefly a member at LA Fitness, Planet Fitness, and Snap Fitness, but nothing comes close to Life Time. Totally worth the $70/month. I do it all -- the rock climbing wall, the classes (check out the barbell strength and the warrior sculpt classes). The lap pool is almost always fairly empty, and the sauna/steam room is definitely an added bonus! Member Specialists: My member specialist, Justin Basinger, is the bomb. I swung by his office and mentioned that I was thinking about doing a few more personal training sessions, and within hours, he had used my LT bucks to set up sessions so I wouldn't have to worry about paying for them. I'm telling you, that guy is on his A Game. Personal Training: Speaking of which, I love the personal training that they offer. I train with Hillary Rechel for half hours sessions (which helloooooo, cost just $35!!) and she consistently kicks my ass. I'm hooked. Cafe: Afterwords, I head to the Life Cafe downstairs for a post-workout smoothie. They're super healthy and delicious (they list all nutritional facts on the menu too)! With the added whey protein and energy boosters, I fairly bounce out of the building! read more

Honestly, if someone tells you that there is a better, more complete gym around town with all the amenities and super clean too, then you better believe they are lying. I've been going to this gym for the last 6 years and working out for the last 4 years and have consistently impressed by their commitment to be clean, friendly, forward-thinking, and professional to their members. If you are the kind of person who doesn't like diversity among clients, then don't come here. This gym is vibrant with all kinds of members and well-positioned at Easton despite it being in the burbs. The members are not cultish like the ACC or squeaky clean like the Dublin location. I use all of the services from personal training, to the spa and take weekly fitness classes. I drop my kid off at the awesome childcare center and send him to camp in the summer, and then use the pool in the summer and less often the indoor pool in the winter. If you're looking for upgraded equipment, they recently re-did the whole floor to include lots of Precor machines, and unique 'studio' type stuff like Bosu balls, bands, and TRX bands. This gym isn't ultra cutting-edge like some smaller gyms but it is close enough. You will find the classes to be fresh and motivating while the instructors are all well-trained. The Cafe food is pretty decent, and stocked well with healthy snacks and real food while the LifeSpa offers comprehensive services like haircuts, waxing, and massages. They also have racquet ball, 2 basketball courts, and a nice-sized climbing wall which I personally like because it gives me a chance to do something else other than lat pull-downs all day. You will find me here 3-5 times / week and trust me...the monthly membership fee is worth it, especially if you have a young child or children. I don't approve of having children sit in front of TVs all day and my son has become agile and athletic because the kids' gym and staff encourages movement and exercise. Get an existing member to host you and you can check it our yourself. LIfestyles and Urban Actives are fine but they are not comprehensive like this gym. read more

The facility is really nice and clean and the classes are a nice amenity. Unfortunately, the cost is really what sets this place apart. My fiancé and I went here and it was $136 a month for both of us. We joined a new gym and are getting the exact same thing here on a smaller scale for $37 per month. We don't have to skip out on any amenities for saving money. The staff is pretty rude here, except for the females and one guy with glasses at the front desk. There are a lot of younger guys that do janitorial work and clean up the floor. They would stand in the way and when you tried to say excuse me they would just stand there and look at you. read more

I use to work at lifetime fitness in Illinois during my college years and it is the BEST gym with all the needed amentities to keep you coming back. This facility is failry clean but the machines need to be upgraded. They appear to have a decent amount of wear and tear and require some maintenance. The employees are very friendly and hospitable. The cost is a little high at $60. For 4 years i paid $49 a month then left for another gym but returned and paying $60 a month now. Membership cost have gone up a lot since I left. They offer a variety of classes from aerobics, yoga to cycling. I hope to try the cycling class one of these days since i am an avid mountain biker and need to work on my cardio for the upcoming season. WTF?-- But knowing you will be working out at a place like LIFETIME will keep you motivated so it's worth the extra $$$$. The place is kept spotless and you've got your choice of any kind of cardio machine you could possibly want to sweat on, and classes out the ying-yang. If you're not wet enough already, how about two indoor pools and a free membership to the Gahanna pool during the summer? I could go on and on about the weights and the locker rooms and tanning beds and steam rooms and the salon and the rock wall and the bla, bla, bla, but I think you get the picture. I've been a lifetime member for 10 years and the quality at Easton has gone extremely downhill. They keep raising the prices and cutting the perks. The group fitness classes are the worst thing that has happened to this gym. The trainers have upwards of 8 people they are "training" at a time with no size cap. They have these group fitness classes at peak times so if you do not have a trainer do not come at 5:30AM, 8AM, 9AM, 5PM, or 6PM. They use all the row machines, all the matts, all the squat racks and all the lower weights Ex. 10lbs, 12.5lbs, 15lbs. I have complained at least 10 times and no one will change anything because the staff utilizes these classes. read more

I've been a member at Lifetime Fitness at Easton for about a year-and-a-half now. I've been pleased with my experience minus a few hiccups here and there, like any place. People either seem to love or hate Easton. I'm a lover and I think this gym is in a great location. The only downside to the great locale is that on weekends and during heavy retail times (like the holidays) parking can get downright horrendous. A HUGE pro about Lifetime is that it is almost always very clean. As someone who's totally paranoid about "gym funk", I have a huge appreciation for this. I'm sure the gym funk is still there in full force, but at least it doesn't look like it. :) The childcare center is run very well and costs me $6 per month per kid. This is a great deal since you get 2 hours per day of childcare with a kid membership. Most of the classes are really great. My favorite is Kristine's Tuesday 9:30 am cycling class! Cons: They do a lot to get you in the door and then I feel like they sort of dump you. I'm familiar with "gym ropes", but, if you weren't, I could see how you could get easily overwhelmed here. In my opinion, the actual personal training staff in general isn't overly friendly or zealous to help either. Lifetime is a bit expensive (my membership with two kids memberships comes in a little over $75/month) and I think they'll need to stay progressive to keep charging that during hard economic times. The gym used to have great group fitness classes and plenty of room for lifters to train. Now the group fitness classes take up most of the valuable equipment and they are reserved during peak hours.
