She can tell that I tuck a leg under me while I'm sitting at my desk, or that I sleep with my arms curled up under my chin - just by where all of my knots are. A session is unlike a standard massage. Lindsay works on spots you didn't even know were problematic, until they release and you realize that in fact, you ARE supposed to be able to turn your head from side to side! Our first session she worked the whole body then the second session she did More specialized work on areas that need it. I recently started going to Body Renewal Therapy by Lindsay for shoulder impingement (8 years of pain), plantar fasciitis, stiff knee, carpal tunnel and just overall tightness in my back and hips. I had very little experience with myofascial therapy but was told it would benefit the pinched nerve in my shoulder. Like a few other reviews have mentioned, there is pain associated with myofascial tissue release, this isn't a massage. The pain is worth it. After two sessions I am already seeing a major improvement in my overall posture plus the shoulder impingement is starting to open up. Wish I had sought help sooner.
