I have severe acne prone skin that requires I come in once a month to get a facial. Over the years, I trust Lizzy to do whatever treatment is needed for my skin to get back into shape. Without a doubt, it always works in helping my skin feel so much better and I have noticed if I don't come for a month, it negatively effects my face where I start getting painful breakouts. Lizzy is a fantastic esthetician. She is super gentle for all her treatments from washing my face to extractions. She always ensures that I am aware of what she is doing especially when certain products tingle. And all of the products she uses smell incredible. She is also hilarious, kind, and really patient. If all of this hasn't convinced you to visit Skin Revival, then I have more things for you. She never pushes to upsell you for any products. She does however have incredible products that she sells and are extremely high quality because she believes that our skin deserves the best. First of all, her products are sensational - her own line is amazing (the sulphur toner, vit c and green tea serums are all staples for me) and the products she uses in her treatments outside of her own line are all high quality. I always find this to be what sets beauty experts apart - products!! And knowing what to use on who! Lizzy nails both. Also, she uses these devices that you won't get during a typical facial. High frequency, cryo therapy, the best LED light therapy available (I know bc I researched it before I even started seeing Lizzy), etc. She does the most gentle extractions, but will go for something stubborn if needed without causing stress to the skin. Pretty sure my first facial I told her about this bump under my skin on my cheek that had been there for months and she just said "oh, I'll get it". And she did! She's well versed on what's pregnancy safe. My skin just looks noticeably improved as soon as I leave a facial with Lizzy. Oh! Let's not forget the space she's created. Parking was conveniently located, the space was very modern and clean, and I was impressed overall. As a black woman, I was a little nervous because I wasn't sure what to expect and if the stylist had prior experience with black hair. All service was provided with instructor oversight. The instructor mentioned that they also offer flat iron service, which was the current style I had and so I decided to add it. My stylist Sandy did not have prior experience with my exact hair type. However, she has curly hair herself that she wears straight and did an excellent job on my hair! She was thorough and made sure I was comfortable throughout. It was exactly what I needed. It took a little longer than usual because this is also a learning experience for the stylist. I expected that and planned for it. For a wash, blow dry, and flat iron it was $20. I will definitely be returning. I learned that you can request a stylist as well. Closed for summers though (service ends in April). They also have a spa downstairs, so I made an appointment for next month to try it out.

Although Crystal doesn't have as many reviews as other facial places, she is definitely a keeper! Do NOT expect one of those super high end locations or set ups. This isn't your typical fancy SF facial place. That being said, Crystal will 100% take care of you and your skin. She genuinely cares and actually remembers things about you. I have probably went to get facial from Crystal around 10+ times and there's a reason why I keep coming back. My skin looks better than it did before. She always gives recommendations and will make sure all that gunk is out of your skin. She had to spend extra time with my extractions because my skin was so irritated, acne filled and my skin barrier was not at its best. Disclaimer that extractions HURT but I know she is taking all that gunk out. She will find things that you didn't even know you had to help your skin not be congested. My face usually isn't as cute the next few days after extractions, but man. You can tell the difference after that time period. My skin is actually smooth now with a few pimples. Hyperpigmentation is so much better. I haven't felt this confident with my skin in over a year and it's all thanks to Crystal. I love the massages she gives and she's just such a sweet woman.
