I keep raving to my friends and family about Emilka and the work she does, it's about time that I post about it publicly for everyone else to know how great she is. I started my search for spa places about 2 years ago and I remember coming across La Estetica in one of my Google searches. Once I started looking at all the different services that Emilka provided, I knew I should make an appointment soon. Whether it was for a facial or starting the detox wraps, I knew I should see her soon. It wasn't until I was asked to become a bridesmaid that I knew I wanted to lose some weight and look my best for the wedding. Luckily I found out that I could kill two birds with one stone, Emilka had a package deal of a customized facial with a detox wrap. I was nervous about both. After have a talk with Emilka, she made me feel super comfortable and explained everything. We began with my detox wrap and I wasn't too sure on what to expect. Emilka came in with two small bowls of product and explained what each one would do. She then wrapped me in plastic wrap and layed me down on a warm bed. After getting comfortable we started my facial. With the customized facial, I told her the problems I've had with my skin and she took me step-by-step on what she would be doing to my face. At the start of each step she would let me know that I may feel some tingling or that it may burn a little but would make sure I was comfortable. She would not move on into the next step until my face felt calm. The atmosphere at La Estetica is so calm and soothing you can't help but take a nap. My face has never felt or looked so good in so long. Emilka was able to help me bring my redness down almost immediately. I hadn't seen my face so clear since I was a teenager. After completing about 8 or 9 wraps with Emilka, we were both able to notice a difference. I was able to fit into a lot of my clothes more comfortably and even cut off the tags to new clothes that I had been waiting to wear. When the day of my sister-in-law's wedding came around I was able to fit into my dress which was 2 sizes smaller that what I had tried on and I was so proud of myself and also grateful for the work Emilka had done. One of the biggest things Emilka had me remember was to not worry about the number on the scale, but how I felt about myself in my clothes. After having a bit of a falling out with my routine I was a little embarrassed about coming back for more wraps. Emilka made me feel less stressed about the situation and told me to never feel bad about my falling out. I've scheduled another 5 series set since coming back and am ready to get back on the wagon with the help of Emilka. Her detox wraps AMAZING! Her facials AMAZING! I have been going to see Emilka since she was in the city. I now see her at her San Mateo location, and let me just say that I LOVE MY DETOX TIME! Relaxing on her warm table in a calming atmosphere is the highlight of my day. I've been seeing Emilka for a couple of years already and I truly love her treatments. I especially like the peels I believe we've done three stages and boy did my melasma and sun spots diminished tremendously, very pleased . I found in the past that most Spas try to sell you hard on their products, and don't listen much, but Emilka is a great listener and doesn't try to push her products, though I've bought them before but because I've wanted to. Also can't do without the detox wraps, I can eat so bad some times and feel guilty, so I have to have these done and of course it helps to have my skin feel smoother and tighter.
