That was until we paid a visit to TMX. As a parent I was impressed with the cleanliness and the Covid Safety measures in place. As well as the professionalism displayed by the staff. My biggest accolades for this gym is the fact that after only being there for about 10 minutes the staff made my son feel so comfortable and excited that a fire within was ignited and he actually stayed for a class. I set up a series of private sessions and found Chris to have great technical skills and an easy to follow teaching philosophy. They also charge a cancellation fee, which they label as an "Amount Past Due," if you try to cancel a membership that you literally signed up for the day before. What was supposed to be a $19.99 membership ended up costing nearly $200 with all fees included, all within just a few days of signing up.

Their VIP membership allows access to multiple of their locations, bring a guest everyday for free, unlimited cycle classes + studio, sauna, + more perks... all for $34.99/month.

It would be a big improvement to include a variety of options like music videos, workout-related YouTube channels, educational fitness content, or even news. Music: The music selection is consistently heavy metal, which may not appeal to everyone and can be demotivating for many members. I should be getting a 9 month refund but I am being ignored. If you are thinking of getting a membership in Weymouth remember this is the same owner so be aware of how they treat the members. They close ubruptly then ignore all while holding the money of their members.

From day one, the people at FitWorx have been super friendly and supportive from the get-go. Everyone makes sure that you feel comfortable with all of the equipment and the process. I go there three times per week and every time I am there I see the staff talking to the patrons like they are old friends. I'm new, and already the greet me by name. The space is small. Not built like your muscle head gyms. There are strength training circuits and cardio equipment. Everything is clean and very well maintained. It gets busy, never overcrowded; I've never had trouble getting the machine I want. Anytime you want to do a circuit, you schedule your time. This helps keep me accountable. The trainers work with you in the beginning one on one, but are always there making sure you are doing well. Client by client they help you keep on track by increasing your weights, keeping your workout fresh. Then they modify their machine order from time to time to be sure that your body doesn't get bored with the same old schedule. I have only been a member for two weeks now, but I am the happiest I have ever been in a workout/exercise setting. I'm confident that their program will work for me!

I cannot recommend this studio enough. The team there is very knowledgeable and super quick to help me with adjustments, etc. to make sure that I can have a workout that is intense, but safe and balanced for me and my body. I'm never afraid to ask for adjustments or corrections on my form because the team here is so kind and encouraging. I want to preface this review by saying that I am still very much a beginner at reformer, and have taken 5 classes at the other C2 studio in Dedham and have always had a positive experience there. Being that I am relatively new, I'm very much happy to get pointers & corrections on my technique. However, my experience with Vania bordered on being singled out and almost embarrassed. When doing leg exercises & correcting me on my form, she made a comment about how my "inner thighs are really weak." Later she corrected me on my tailbone placement & made it known to me that she was using me as a demo because my form was the most incorrect out of everyone else's. Like ok??? I didn't sign up for this to be compared to other people in the class who different levels of experience. Shortly after, she makes a comment to the class saying "some of you have more cushion on your body so it's harder to locate the tailbone." I was shocked. I am a size 6-8, & have a curvier body type. It is NEVER okay in my book to comment on other people's body types, especially in a class like this. She finally stopped when I told her I felt singled out, but the damage was already done. For the rest of the class, she proceeded to make comments about how we "shouldn't feel embarrassed to make mistakes" and how she has "never felt shame" being corrected & was not a natural at Pilates herself. Regardless of her intention, these comments were extremely out of line and went beyond simple constructive corrections. Needless to say, I will not be returning. I have never felt so bad about myself in a fitness studios until now.
