They split the class into three groups or into two depending on the class, with the 3G class rotates from row machine to floor to treadmill & 2G class alternating between floor + row & treadmill. Personally I enjoy 3G classes because less treadmill time (I loathe running). The instructors are super kind and helpful. My first class, I came in a little early before class started and they went through all of the stations with me, showing me what would be done in class that day. I like going to classes like Orangetheory because it gets me to actually run, since normally I am totally fine with skipping cardio even though I would like to incorporate more cardio in my workouts.

There was an iPad/tablet set up by the front desk where I was able to check myself in. I was not sure where the class was located but staff was very helpful and walked me downstairs to the spin class. Their upstairs/main level seemed to be where all the machines are and yoga/pilates classes. The gym was actually a lot bigger than I thought. Downstairs was where spin classes are held and they had a women's locker room down there as well. The locker room was clean, had showers, hairdryers, etc. This was the first spin class I have taken that was not through SoulCycle and the bikes were a little different but similar enough that I was able to figure it out. Overall, not a bad class. I'm used to a bit more choreography on the handle bars but still a nice class! I would totally switch to this gym if only they were open a little later because I do enjoy working out at night sometimes. Parking is a little tricky in this area. If there's not a spot on the main street (Granite), I would check on the side of Bruegger's Bagels or on Adams St.

Lets you arrive and sink into your met. I had such an issue with my hip and was going to see a dr the next week for a shot, I took one of her classes and she added ball rolling and WOW is all I can say. Dr said I didn't need a shot and continue to take yoga he also said I didn't need another appointment. Jill and Gina, the current owners, have fostered an environment that is welcoming, supportive and focused on each individuals well being. The space is bright and airy and offers a varied class schedule. All yoga equipment is provided at the studio but you are welcome to bring your own. They offer virtual classes which provides flexibility and ensures in studio classes are never overwhelmed. Pricing is also reasonable with a variety of packages to choose from. Parking is never an issue with abundant street parking available. I've attended classes instructed by Jill, Gina, Heather, Christine, Theresa and Raman and highly recommend all of them!! Has just about everything you need except squat racks (only smith machine) and limited selection for kettlebells. I like this one because it's 24/7. I honestly only like the Planet Fitness locations that are 24/7. They have a bunch of treadmills, a couple stair masters, and depending on the time you go here, you might not be able to get an assisted squat rack smith machine. This specific location gets busy around 5pm-10pm and usually not many people after 10pm. Membership is quite affordable and good gym to go for the price point. Bathrooms are clean and everyone here seems to be pretty good about wiping down equipment before and after use.

I found that each class offered a different pace (vinyasa, hatha, power) and the instructors were welcoming and caring for people of all levels. Lovely addition to the neighborhood. I got the new student class pack and was taking classes before I knew it. Classes are great and so wonderful. They are challenging and the instructors motivate and encourage you to do your best and come to class as much as possible. They modify exercises in all classes if you have an injury. My favorite classes so far are Pound, Barre, and SparBarre. Next on my list to try? Pound/Barre combo and Strong by Zumba. I love it here, and truly feel like I belong at this studio. Sounds cheesy, but I do. I love the workouts, the instructors, and best of all, the atmosphere.

This is where Jackie comes in, an accomplished dancer and fitness professional. The Zumba classes at Bodyfit just get better and better. Jackie incorporates bollywood, various latin dances, hip hop, swing, and other dance styles to keep things interesting. I don't get bored (this is a feat in itself for me) and I really like that Jackie cycles high intensity songs interspersed with low intensity to keep that metabolism going. I have learned so much about dance, it never feels like a workout, and it is super affordable.

The moves are fast, she will seek you out if you are totally lost, and she is always enjoying herself. After trying one class for free (go to her website and print out a pass) I decided to pay the monthly fee ($59). Unlike some places she doesn't put rigid restrictions on passes. I'm going to spend the month taking each of her classes and figuring out which ones I want to continue. I find her Zumba class very challenging, but I also really liked her kickboxing class.
