Got a great deal for a package at Body Science (as a surprise for my girlfriend) which included (Haircut, facial, slim treatment, and wax/laser). However, while the deal was nice, I cannot say the same for much else. The location itself is not very pleasing, the area that they wash hair is in the back storage area, and (worst of all) we would make an appointment a month in advance and they would wait until the day of before cancelling and making us reschedule. Or we would be asked to come in early and we ended up waiting there for another hour. I believe that they are a new start-up business, so I can forgive the low star appearance; however, my advice to the owner would be that if you want to gain (and keep) potential clients, put a little more effort into your customer service (and answer your phones!!) There's only 1 star because I can't choose NO stars. A friend purchased her & I the gift certificates that they had at Bridal Fantasy this year, and when I called on Monday to make an appointment for 1 of the 4 services on the gift certificate, I was advised by the chiropractor receptionist that the company that sold these g/c's over sold by 1000, and there was an open police file investigation with the city police, so in order to use it I had to go to a station and report on this file. Ok, I can do that. I left a message Monday for someone to call me back, and then called again on Tuesday, and Wednesday. All with no return call. So I was in that area of the city today so I stopped in to see if I could book the appointments. I showed up and there was no one to be found inside the "spa". I waited for about 15min, before someone came out of a room in the back, looked at me, walked to the bathroom, then came out and finally acknowledged me. She asked how my day was & I said it would be better if they'd have returned a phone call so I could book an appointment. She said they were so busy they don't have time to return phone calls, and to be lucky it's only been 3 days since trying to reach them as it "normally takes about a week" for them to return any calls. Who runs a business this way? I asked for the manager, and she (Wendy) said she was the owner. I told her I wanted to book the 4 treatments on the g/c and as soon as she found out it was that g/c she copped attitude with me and said I would have to wait for a return call because there were other people ahead of me, and it wasn't her fault that the g/c company they hired oversold by 3000 g/c's. I told her I wanted a refund or to book, and she said she didn't like my attitude and would no longer be honoring my g/c & told me to leave. *SHOCK* I had no attitude. But I left. I will NEVER go back. NEVER recommend. NEVER say anything good. And if anyone has any spa services they are looking for, I will be sure to mention this place to them...as a place to STAY AWAY FROM. Who runs a business with a 1 week time frame to return phone calls? Who runs a business where you can't book an appointment by walking in? Who? I purchased one of their spa packages along with many other ladies in our office. Not one of us has been able to have all 4 treatments due to them not answering their phone for weeks, or we show up and the girl that was supposed to do our facial had a family emergency( her kid was sick?) . Instead of cancelling the appointment like " real spas" would do, they let us show up and waste our time. Next.... They wanted us to go to the police station and fill out a fraud report on their behalf, or they would not honour our spa package! It is illegal for them to deny us our services because they " claim" the people who made the pamphlets made too many. THEY STILL GOT PAID FOR ALL THE PACKAGES THAT WERE SOLD !!! Next, I had a hair appointment for a Saturday, I show up and no one there. I totally wasted my time, and fuel to drive across the city for this BOOKED appointment only to sit outside for 40 minutes. Once again, "REAL " spas would call and contact their client to let them know there had been a change to the schedule. Only one appointment was had by me and that was the facial. I had to listen to the girl whine the whole time about how busy they were etc. This business has no right to operate, they have ZERO customer service, and have scammed MANY people out of their hard earned money !!! They benefited from our money, and are not following through the service we paid for. Not only is it impossible to make an appointment, it is impossible for them to keep them ! I would suggest to file a scam/fraud claim against them and make them pay for the scamming they have done ! Very disappointed in this spa package ! I received a coupon book for Christmas from my daugher and she was so proud to give me something she thought would be special just for me. NOT SO MUCH!!! I called, left messages, called the Rep who sold the package (of course, no one answered or returned my call), I sent emails and I even contacted AdStar who created the coupons for this business! I finally went down to the business on a Saturday because at this point I thought it was a total SCAM! Well, well, well - they were NOT opened (even though the website and voice mail indicates their hours which include Saturdays) but I did speak with the receptionist at the office connected and she passed my message onto the owner of the Spa. I FINALLY got an appointement for my first visit for HAIR FLAIR - which included a Professiona Hairstyle Consultation; Deep Conditioning Treatment; Relaxing Scalp Massage; Designer Hair Cut and Blow Dry; and a Complimentary Beverage. This is what I got - a hair wash with shampoo and conditioner and the young lady who cut my hair HAS NEVER BEEN TO SCHOOL!!!!!!! She had NO FORMAL TRAINING!!!!!!!!!!! She either knows the owner or this "spa" was desperate for a hairstylist. No "deep conditioning" treatment. No Scalp massage. No consultation. Not even a glass of water!!!!!!!! It's a good thing I was aware that this girl had no training and I only received a trim - which my regular hairstylist will still need to fix!!!! PLUS - the business is very ill-kept. Small. Crowded. Dim lighting (probably to hide the dirt) dirty dishes (there was an old coffee cup sitting on the laser treament machine) and very unwelcoming. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS FACILITY!!!!!! You do get what you paid for. Go to a REAL SPA!!! Just because the website is pretty doesn't mean the business is!!!!! read more

Bought a spa package for this company at the bridal expo 2013. They hired a company called Ad Star Salon and Spa promotions to sell for them. When I called to book she informed me that they were only supposed to sell 600 and they sold over 3000. They were only honouring the 600. She told me to call and file a police report, and then contact my credit card company and try to get my money back. They took no responsibility for this situation and now expect me to fix it. I am completely p@!%!d and would never ever recommend this spa to anyone! I spent hours on the phone with my credit card company, which now my card has been cancelled and I have been issued a new one, I also had to phone the cop and get information, and then go file a police report! Not impressed at all!!! Do yourself a favour and avoid this spa at all costs!!! read more

I am very upset with this so called Spa. I bought the spa package along with many other scammed women it seems. I have called this 'spa' on many occasions and not once has anyone answered. I stopped in and made an appointment for my hair cut, they then informed me I could not have any service until I filled out a police report !?!? I showed up for my hair appointment however no one was there. I waited 45 minutes outside and no one showed up. The doors were locked and the Chiropractic clinic next door was also closed. I have tried to call and find out why they did not call to cancel my appointment or at least let me know they would not show up, however there is never any answer. I feel that since they received our money, they are not following through with the services. Now who are the scammers ? I would not recommend this spa to anyone. I would suggest you spend your money elsewhere, somewhere they actually answer the phone and are concerned about their business. read more

This business is a ripoff who takes your money from Dealfind/Teambuy and run. Beware of buying coupons or vouchers from these dishonest people! I bought one in 2011 that clearly states on the voucher that it NEVER expires. The owner refused to honour it outright, didn't even offer some other form of credit for other services. Well, I had a coupon for manicure, pedicure and facial for this place and it took me 4 month to be able to book an appointment. I arrived 5 min late and waiting 15 min for one of the staff to show up! the girl who suppose to do my manicure & pedicure said" you have been late for 20 min so I dont have time to do your manicure! ", I said : I have been waiting for you for 15 min and she just said whatever! 5 min, 10 min, I am not doing your manicure! Lets just say the pedicure was bad bad bad! no filling, not trimming the ends but she managed to cut my toe and made my skin to bleed and when I got home I had to clean the polish as there was particle stuck in the polish and she didn't bother to clean it up!! It was the worst pedicure I have ever had in my life; but wait, you might want to here about the facial part; basically how it works: no name brand , cold past was applied to my face in 10 sec , no massage or anything special, then covered by a moist warm towel which basically absorbs all the product from your face in couple of minutes and then you are stuck with a cold cold towel on your face in a bed for 15 minutes! this process repeats 4 times during your facial treatment, so ya, basically the crappiest facial I have ever had in my life! You will be left over with a cold face and not feeling any change after your suppose to be relaxing! Add rude, unpleasant, unfriendly staff ( she spent more time on her phone than spending time for my spa and claiming she had no time to do my manicure even though I have paid for it!) to the whole package that made me NEVER EVER go back to this place, waste of your time, your money and just dose not worth even one star! read more

I originally found out about the spa bc I visited the chiropractic clinic next door. I still use chiropractic services and when I do I sometimes will book spa services at the same time to save me a trip. To that Dana that wrote a bad review...just wanted to let the public know that I happen to be next door waiting for my apt. I definitely remember you...how can anyone NOT!. ..along with others in the waiting room that heard your profanity. If that's what you consider not having a bad attitude towards people that were trying to help you then I don't think you should be allowed to speak. If it were my business I would have asked you to leave also as all I heard coming from you was name calling from the start and swearing. You were the one with the attitude....sorry but that's the truth. I know for a fact that you did not enter the spa speaking kindly to anyone. No one needs to hear that...it was VERY disruptive to everyone that heard you. So please tell the truth about your actions and learn to speak to others with respect. The only truth in your review was that you were asked to leave only bc there is only so much name calling and swearing one can take so actually ... I don't blame them. What a horrible thing to say about this Spa. They have been nothing but more than cooperative and have gone above and beyond regarding these vouchers that they actually DID NOT recieve any profit from. It is a very small spa that is trying their best to honor thousands of extra vouchers that were yes....Over sold without their consent or knowledge. It's a scam that affected both the business and consumers. If anyone deserves a bad review it's the company that actually sold the vouchers illegally. All I know is they went above and beyond for myself and my experience there was great. I learned that they didnt recieve a penny from these recent vouchers so who's actually paying them when i redeemed my voucher.....NO ONE. Friendly and professional staff that gave me great services. I actually ended up purchasing a slimming treatment package and will continue to go to BodyScience. And will be using other services from them as well in the future.
