All of the time, money and effort to get to the studio to take a 90-minute class here was completely worth it! The studio is beautiful and spacious. The class that I took was at night, and the place was softly lit with mood lighting and candles everywhere. The room where we practiced had huge glass windows looking out onto a patio. And good thing we were near glass windows: At the end of class during savasana (the final resting pose), we got to see fireworks in the distance from some event going on nearby. Remember when I said my experience was magical? It was so magical that it ended with fireworks! There were plenty of props for everyone to use (I grabbed a block), there were pretty twinkle lights and crystals everywhere, and the people who worked here were super friendly and welcoming. I always say that yoga people are my people, and it's true. Even though it was my first time visiting ONE Yoga, I felt completely comfortable and welcomed the entire time. This is an inclusive space for everyone to practice yoga. They also have an area with fun things for sale: crystals, jewelry, essential oils, clothing, yoga mats and lots of other things. There was also a kitchen area, with chairs to sit and hang out, and complimentary water.

We literally decided that we'd like to do our next meet-up in Valpo again just so we can return for another class! Here's what I loved: -The ambience. Clean floors, plentiful sunlight, fresh flowers abound! -The practice was challenging, but the instructor did a beautiful job making one of my new-to-yoga friends feel welcome and capable. -There was a lovely selection of crystals, candles, oils and jewelry. Much of it was out of my price-range, but I couldn't resist a few items. -After the class we were invited to enjoy some infused water and help ourselves to an assortment of nuts, chocolates and dried fruit. -First class is free! I wouldn't have changed a thing, and in fact I can't wait to return.

Just walking into the Sacred Dunes environment was enough to change my mood. Everyone was very caring, very calming, which was helpful for me as a newbie. I left my first acupuncture treatment both calm and alert. Can't wait for next week's appointment!

After completing a medical form I was sent upstairs to a private room. Stephanie came in and went over what I was wanting to happen at this session. She is very calming and explained everything before she proceeded with the needles (which did not hurt). I was more relaxed but overall I did not notice a big change after the session. However, the next morning I woke up and did NOT have that awful sick feeling in my stomach from chemo. It was completely gone!! My stress level was way down and I had slept so much better. I have continued my treatment even though my chemo treatment has ended to help relieve my neuropathy in my hands and feet. I wish more cancer patients took advantage of this wonderful treatment.

The class seemed thrown together and she kept referring to notes when she would have everyone start a pose and then stop them midway through and say she did it wrong. Total waste of time and money. I gave east wind two stars because i have heard the other classes are good, the ambience is nice, and the other staff is helpful.

Whoever is familiar with this style, it can be more of a physical therapy instead of a vinyasa flow type of class, but it is just so that you make sure you are doing the pose correctly. I really enjoy going to Danielle's class. The people that attend are a community, so it can feel like a clique at first, but they are very welcoming! I have been recommending this studio for anyone who has physical or mental disabilities, is looking to do the poses in a more aligned manner and/or not looking for a rigorous exercise. Also, Danielle is very familiar with things that are triggering (mental or physical), and has been really great with accommodating students of all types and abilities/disabilities.

After working with Katie for months I have felt a relief in my pain for the first time in 12 years…read more My issues started at a young age of 16 when I had my first back surgery. My second was at age 21. Eight years later I still deal with multiple herniated discs, myofacial pain and fibromyaligia. This causes pain in my upper and lower back that radiates down my arms and legs. My back and leg muscles are tight which cause more issues. Katie has worked with me on a specific plan to help with my underlying issues. I have done so much physical therapy over the last 12 years and myofacial release therapy that I wasn't getting my hopes high but for the first time I have felt hope that my pain can get better. Katie has given me hope that maybe one day my body can handle having children. At the age of 23 I was put on disability, for the first time since then I am beginning to feel like I could try working full time again. Katie listens to what you have to say and puts the pieces together to help you as much as possible. It has taken months of work to begin feeling my pain go down and I have a long journey ahead of me but with Katie's help it has become possible!

They are more focused on selling "gear" and throwing birthday parties than they are in actually teaching students anything useful. Also, The O'Connors have made it clear that they refuse to close their doors during this COVID-10 pandemic, admit that they can't find the proper products to clean their facility at this time, and that money means more to them than public safety. When presented with evidence from medical professionals stating that a safe distance during this outbreak is 6 feet or more from other people, they refused to communicate further. Would definitely not do business with them.
