All of the time, money and effort to get to the studio to take a 90-minute class here was completely worth it! The studio is beautiful and spacious. The class that I took was at night, and the place was softly lit with mood lighting and candles everywhere. The room where we practiced had huge glass windows looking out onto a patio. And good thing we were near glass windows: At the end of class during savasana (the final resting pose), we got to see fireworks in the distance from some event going on nearby. Remember when I said my experience was magical? It was so magical that it ended with fireworks! There were plenty of props for everyone to use (I grabbed a block), there were pretty twinkle lights and crystals everywhere, and the people who worked here were super friendly and welcoming. I always say that yoga people are my people, and it's true. Even though it was my first time visiting ONE Yoga, I felt completely comfortable and welcomed the entire time. This is an inclusive space for everyone to practice yoga. They also have an area with fun things for sale: crystals, jewelry, essential oils, clothing, yoga mats and lots of other things. There was also a kitchen area, with chairs to sit and hang out, and complimentary water.

Clean floors, plentiful sunlight, fresh flowers abound! -The practice was challenging, but the instructor did a beautiful job making one of my new-to-yoga friends feel welcome and capable. -There was a lovely selection of crystals, candles, oils and jewelry. Much of it was out of my price-range, but I couldn't resist a few items. -After the class we were invited to enjoy some infused water and help ourselves to an assortment of nuts, chocolates and dried fruit. -First class is free! After completing a medical form I was sent upstairs to a private room. Stephanie came in and went over what I was wanting to happen at this session. She is very calming and explained everything before she proceeded with the needles (which did not hurt). I was more relaxed but overall I did not notice a big change after the session. However, the next morning I woke up and did NOT have that awful sick feeling in my stomach from chemo. It was completely gone!! My stress level was way down and I had slept so much better. I have continued my treatment even though my chemo treatment has ended to help relieve my neuropathy in my hands and feet. I wish more cancer patients took advantage of this wonderful treatment.

She is an attentive and intuitive yoga teacher and she must have a million different poses and sequences in her head because her classes are never the same!! I always leave feeling better than when I came in, and my little individual areas of aches and pains always feel so much relief. She is friendly, unpretentious, and approachable. They are more focused on selling "gear" and throwing birthday parties than they are in actually teaching students anything useful. Also, The O'Connors have made it clear that they refuse to close their doors during this COVID-10 pandemic, admit that they can't find the proper products to clean their facility at this time, and that money means more to them than public safety. When presented with evidence from medical professionals stating that a safe distance during this outbreak is 6 feet or more from other people, they refused to communicate further. Would definitely not do business with them.

Duneland Family YMCA child care is one of the best childcare programs we've been a part of! We've…read morebeen with the Duneland YMCA for almost 6 years (since we moved to the area), with our fourth child getting ready to start soon. It's great to know my children are being loved and cared for while I'm away at work - the teachers truly treat them as their own. My 3 year old loves going to "school" and seeing all her friends! Aside from updating books and educational toys, there have been many updates to the facility in the past few years including new paint and rearranging classrooms to improve functionality. The facility is clean and the teachers really take pride in their classrooms! My daughter is offered breakfast, hot lunch (contracted with Third Coast Spice in Chesterton) , and several healthy snacks everyday. The hours are also very convenient, opening at 5:45 am until 6:30 pm. Whether I have an early morning meeting or a late evening errand, I've got flexibility with childcare. In the summer they offer several field trips, get swimming lessons at the Y, take walks, visit the library, get to play at the new splash pad across the parking lot and the highlight of each week is when the Kona Ice truck comes! All year long the kids also get to learn about being healthy when the YMCA fitness instructors come over to "play" with them - doing yoga, dance and music in motion. They also do special events throughout the year, including donuts with dad, muffins with mom, a fall harvest bash for the entire community, a thanksgiving celebration and a Christmas program! One of the best parts about the Y...several of the teachers have been there since before we started going there. It builds a strong sense of security for both myself and my children knowing they will build long lasting relationships with and grow to love their teachers.

The program includes swim lessons in the summer, the Muzzy program to teach the children Spanish, organic local meals for lunch, a music program, and actually curriculum. There is a new splash pad right acrossed the street that they use in the summer and a fenced in playground that is only accessible by the children and staff of this program. This is not just a daycare- it's school. My girls love it and love their teachers. Each and every teacher has made them feel welcome, valued, and have provided them with tools to help them grow. They knew the ABCs and 18 months and at 2.5 years old they were reciting the pledge of allegiance! As a parent- I feel that they are safe, the school is locked and has a camera system to make sure to only allow the correct people in the facility. The school communicates daily with me via paper and conversation on their progress - they also help with potty training!! Highly recommended- very happy mom.
