She wanted to know WHAT was hurting/in need of help. And focused on what the body craved in a silent dialogue between her and my aching bones. I woke up this morning with ZERO sciatica and shoulder pain. Using very interesting techniques, and applying heat and COLD, I don't know WHAT she did or how she did it, but she brought it. Beware of deceitful up charging Booked a bachelorette event, had one person cancel two days before. Business owner attempted to charge me 50% of price of one person because I was cancelling between "48-72 hours prior to event" as per her words. I sent her her own website disclaimer page where it did not relay that at all, she refunded me 100% for the one person cancelling. Post event, I was charged an additional $51.25 for one girl's removal and application of shellac nail gel. I was never told at the event and it was on my card. Once I addressed, she refunded me again. While the issues were resolved it completely negated any relaxing experience this business is trying to convey- I would avoid the hassle of this scamming business owner. My boyfriend and I were in town for the weekend and wanted to get a massage. After reading the reviews, I was cautious going there and aware of the reviews of upcharging. Thankfully we did not have this experience. One thing I will say, so that folks are aware, is that when you make an appointment you need to put a card down to hold your appointment. However, they do charge the full amount of the service when you give the card- before services are rendered. So just be aware of this so you don't get surprised by the charge like I was! I came into this charming day spa for a much needed massage and my first impressions were plenty of parking, immaculate, great array of quality products ( I am a Repachage user for over 20 years) and really nice decor. Danielle was my masseuse and asked all the right questions about pressure and my areas of concern and if I had any allergies and she gave me a wonderful 90 minute massage combining shiatsu, Thai and Swedish. On my way to check out I met Kim and complimented her on the Repachage products and told her how wonderful my massage was, I asked about a gel pedicure and she happened to have time to do one right then and there! It was excellent ! I feel like a met a new friend she was so knowledgeable on the spa business (I use to be an esthetician) and gave me some good information on the area. Went for a manicure. It was my first time getting Dazzle dry. The technician (Marcia) was nice and personable. She assured me that the manicure will last 2 weeks. I got it on Friday, it started peeling off on Wednesday and by Thursday night it didn't look good anymore. I am not involved in any heavy manual labor, work on computer. Didn't last even a week. We had booked time for 3 massages at a time plus 2 more right after for a total of 5. We were coming from outside the Cape and this was one of the places that could take 3 people at one time and accommodate all 5 of us. The surprise came when we climbed the steep stairs and were told to watch our heads not to bump on the ceiling beams. It is a good thing we were family for the room was one big open room with all 3 of the ladies having to undress and climb under the covers all together - no separate rooms. We saw some bathrobes in a basket but were not offered any. The 3 masseuses were very good. No problem with the services, but the Spa place should be up front with telling prospective customers that they would not be in a private room for their massages. read more

I went to this Body Sense salon for a manicure and pedicure, and I can't stop looking at my hands--they look so good! (I'd look at my feet more if they were as close to my face :-) The salon is immaculate. The nail technician who did my nails, Kristen, was meticulous and expert in her scrubbing, sloughing, trimming, massaging, and painting! My nails ( hands and feet) look and feel better than they have after any other mani/pedi I've ever received (and yes, I go get mani/pedis a lot). The one small thing I wish was different? Less AC! I have been debating Writing this review for almost a month now. I never write reviews, but after $220 I thought this was necessary. My boyfriend and I went there after Fourth of July weekend, because he wanted a pedicure for his birthday. He had never had one before and I have only had two. When we arrived, I told the owner that I didn't need a manicure and to do the whole hour on my feet. She said that was fine. She probably did about 35 minutes on my feet and walked around the rest of the time. When my boyfriend and I left and we were back to the hotel, we had to use cuticle remover's, nail clippers and a nail filer to finish off the job that they had never completed. You would've never been able to tell that we had had a pedicure. The owner was very pushy with products, and basically handed me a product and said you are going home with the this. They were very nice but $220 later I am still really pissed off about it. Do you not waste your money find another place to go to. read more

We had an unbelievable hand made body scrub (I have never done a body scrub so this was a first for me) and mani-pedi. Everything was organic and natural which made the experience even more amazing. I have really mixed feelings about this review and this place. I've tried to reconcile by going back a few times and just can't. Pros: the services are top-notch. The owner is very good at what she does. Cons: the attitude. As much as I think the place is lovely, the atmosphere warm and the final product is great, the up-sellling you have to endure is just too much. Every time I go, the owner tries to sell me on other products and services, which is fine - you're a business person trying to increase your margin. But the way she does it is too aggressive. Little jellyfish comments here and there 'my skin used to look like yours'; 'oh, rough skin on those heels' don't induce me to buy more - they make me want to leave and never return. I wish her luck but I go to a place like that to leave feeling better about myself, not worse. read more

My sister organized my bachelorette party at Body Sense, which seemed like it would be a great place. Boy were we wrong. We ended up being late as there was traffic on 93 South coming from Boston - and we sure paid for that. In fact, while one of my bridesmaids (who was already there) was conveying to the receptionist that I and two other bridesmaids were late, a nail technician declared "I am not staying here until seven pm for you guys." With that, my two bridesmaids who were physically there began the services without me. Despite the fact that my sister had sent in a sheet with a list of the bridesmaids and which services they were getting, the unorganized staff completely messed this up. The owner even asked one of my bridesmaids "you are not signed up for anything, correct?" In fact she was. Furthermore, my bridesmaids had to pay for services they did not receive - for example a bridesmaid who paid for an hour massage was told she only paid for thirty minutes. No discount or reimbursement was ever made for services that people paid for and did not receive. I also agree with the user who noted the up-selling was overwhelming. I would never go back to this place and it still angers me to think that my sister who worked so hard to organize my bachelorette party was treated poorly and made to pay for things she did not receive. read more
