I came here today to get some injections for my nasolabial folds. As we age, we lose volume and the area doesn't look as young and youthful anymore. Boo! However, with the right fillers and injector, you can get that volume back again without looking botched and unnatural. Yah! I came in for both my consultation and injections on the same day. The typical process is usually one appointment for a consult and another appointment for injections. I already knew I was getting them so why not combine them? So how did I pick my injector? Iris was recommended by my hair stylist. I also had seen the amazing results Iris can produce on multiple clients. I even stalked Body tonic on Instagram before finally making the appointment. Iris is hands down amazing!!! She has been injecting for years and knows the ins and out of injecting. Iris answered all my questions and even went more in-depth with me since my goal is to do injectables once I am done with my nursing degree. August 2019 baby! I got filler in my nasolabial folds and decided to do cheek filler. I had decided on the cheek fillers because I had complained I appear a little sunken in. Thanks, aging, stress, and life! Iris did an excellent job and I am happy with the results. The rest of the staff was great too. Some tips: - Make sure to sign up for both an Allergen and Allegra rewards programs so you can save in the future on fillers and Botox/Dysport. - Follow pre and post instructions. You may develop bruising which for me is common. Not everyone does but don't do filler before a big event because of the possibility. - If you have issues with finding the place, consult the website. I had my very first appointment here today and I saw Gina (Her IG is @ginabodytonic) for a consult + whatever could be squeezed in during our allotted time. I gave her my laundry list of concerns and history with Botox and fillers and even though the office was super busy today, she was patient, a great listener, explained everything in great detail, and made me feel comfortable. She is 100% real with you and if she feels that you will not benefit from an injection for a particular problem she will let you know. One of my biggest problems I wanted to address was my eye troughs, and she explained the different causes of under eye discoloration and how I would not benefit from filler since my issue was not due to volume loss. She provided me advice on alternative solutions like Vitamin C. I was able to get the Botox in areas she felt would provide the greatest benefit / bang for my buck AND explained her injection placement. She did not want me to lose my natural high eyebrow arch :) Overall, the staff is very nice, the office has such a gorgeous view, Gina is fantastic, and I highly recommend this team for your glow up needs! read more

Every review that sings Gina's praises are well deserved! I have never in my life thought that I would consider Botox and to be honest, I really do not know that many black people that have had it as we typically do not have any issues with wrinkle/crinkles, however, since I have passed the age of 40, I have noticed pronounced laugh lines at the corners of my eyes that are unappealing. I have also developed a few unattractive lines under my eyes, so after doing extensive research, I felt assured that Gina would give me her honest opinion and not make me look like a mannequin and as soon as I entered her suite, I immediately felt at ease as she has great charisma and energy. We did a thorough consultation and by the end, there were injections. The skin under/around your eyes are the thinnest, so it hurt a little, but the end result was worth the slight pain. You usually see results in about 12 days, but within a week I noticed a difference and by day 12, there was vast improvement. I am very happy and will be back in several months. read more

I have visited Med Spas all over Austin and in various other cities in the past 20 years and have found Body Tonic to be the best. Iris Taylor is an expert injector with an artist's eye. I see her for all filler and Botox work. I hesitated having any work done on my lips, but when I finally decided the vertical lip lines had to be fixed, Iris did it in a perfectly subtle and beautiful way. She used filler to gently lift the upper lip and smooth both the upper and lower lip. No puffer fish look, almost no bruising, and no pain because she used a dental block. She has filled my tear troughs in a way that no-one would ever guess I had it done -- and again with no bruising except for one tiny little red dot (easily concealed). Also, Kit did a beautiful job with the Skin Tyte laser on my neck, three treatments with no pain or downtime. All the staff have been very friendly and professional with me. I find that every single person I speak with at Body Tonic will offer helpful hints about how to minimize bruising and treat swelling -- and about how to use products most effectively. The monthly specials are always excellent, and you can buy treatments when they go on sale (lots of flash sales and online specials), and then have your purchases held on your account until you need those particular treatments. AMAZE - which I've talked about before.. but since then I've also had microblading done with Leslie! A complete game changer for my facial structure and I loved her passion and growth with permanent makeup! Consultation, microblading appointment, and follow up appointment were all comfortable and fun! I brought a friend to get her lips done by Gina the same day of my microblading touch up with Leslie! I came to see Iris at Body Tonic after a botched Juvederm lip treatment at Dr. McGrath's office. Three weeks after my filler with Dr. McGrath my lips were extremely lopsided and had bumps on both side, especially on my right side. I went to a check up with Dr. McGrath, and he said to me, "This is why I don't like doing lips," and then told me it was probably a hematoma and to let me lips heal for another couple of weeks. There was no way I could go back to him after him admitting he wasn't comfortable with lip fillers! I had heard really good things about Iris and contacted her with my crisis. She confirmed that it was not a hematoma and was just uneven Juvederm. On my first visit to her office she injected hyaluronic acide to break up the pockets of Juvederm on my lower lip. She also filled more of my lower lip since it was also uneven and not nearly as full as my upper lip. My the time I left the office I could finally be seen in public again as the Juvederm bubbles broke up. A week later I went in for a check up and she was able to even out my upper lip with more Juvederm. I am SOOOOOO happy with the final results and wish I would have gone to Iris in the first place! She is such a miracle worker and my lips look so gorgeous! read more
