Do not go to Walden for a breast reduction, it took many corrective surgeries costing money and years to correct her failures. She did try to fix it with a free surgery but I ended up never seeing her post op and the nurse removed stitches too soon, leaving lots of scar tissue damage. She also, put two completely different size breast implants making a very unsymmetrical appearance, even though symmetry was very important to me. She has an odd bedside manner, very awkward, and took almost 8 hours on the first surgery. My mom was in the next room waiting and could hear her and her surgery staff laughing, taking snack breaks, etc. I've been told by nursing staff that all of her glowing articles are bought and paid for by her, and bad reviews are removed as well. It's been 2 years since my BA and abdominal fat transfer. My areola has had some improvement, not 100%. My abdomen still looks terrible. Another local plastic surgeon agreed with me that I wasn't a good candidate for lipo in that area (I expressed my concerns pre-op) I've also met another women who had abdominal lipo with Dr. Walden and had a similar outcome. I would not recommend lipo with this provider, regardless of what you will hear from her or her staff. If you complain or are unhappy with your results, do not expect Dr. Walden to take responsibility. If she does agree to give you your $$ back, be prepared to sign a release to not leave her a bad review. I'm guessing that is the only way she even has a 4 star status. read more

I came to Dr.Walden's office for a consultation about a month ago. She was one of 4 surgeons I was considering for my tummy tuck. Maybe I didn't look serious. I don't know. But I felt like Dr.Walden barely looked at me, made no effort to really look at my case and give me thought-out recommendations for the right procedure(s) for me. She seemed genuinely disinterested. It was off-putting. All of the other surgeons I saw gave me significantly more attention, care and time. Because of this I didn't feel she was a good fit for me. Maybe she's too busy. It's a year after my breast augmentation surgery and here are some things I'd wish'd I'd known, and some observations. Dr. Walden is an artist, but her bedside manner is lacking. Mostly it's lacking some helpful and informative information. Which, actually her staff should have a checklist to ensure they tell you, or another pamphlet pre-op with this information. My breasts are perfect! I asked for them to look natural- so while I did want them slightly bigger- no one can tell they aren't my original ones. (something like 60% of women who get breast augmentation go back within the first 5-7 years to trade up for a bigger size... do your due diligence- be very clear about the size and look you want) I have no shame in my choice. I'm happy with my new look- it matches the image I've had of myself all these years. I consider them to be 3-D tattoos! The only thing that makes me ashamed a bit is the scars. So no, I will not be going topless in New Orleans at Mardi Gras. 1. I do not have full feeling back yet in my breasts. Nipples have some, and for awhile the feeling was slight pain at even a gentle touch. She told me last month (a year later) it could take 2 years to get feeling back. Obviously there is a chance I won't ever get full feeling, or even more feeling back. 2. Sometimes the implants feel odd. They don't hurt, it's just a weird feeling. Laying flat on the floor is especially noticeable (yoga). Maybe scar tissue and time will change that? Likely it'll be noticeable that I have a implants for the rest of my life 3. Underwire bras hurt and rub against the scars. I'm not sure who actually likes the feeling of wearing those? 4. You will always have noticeable scars. It will be in the fold under your breast, but you will see them in the mirror every day, and when you lay down they are noticeable (anyone having sex with you will absolutely see them). I wish there was more emphasis on the scars upfront, and pictures to view so you have the real understanding of what they'll look like. Yes, some people get luckier than others and they're barely noticeable, but most of us will have noticeable scars forever. Plan on being unlucky and having 3-4 inch scars under your breast for the rest of your life. If you're cool with that- then implants are for you! 1. Yes, they will fade over time, but they will always be there. The Dr.s office does offer a series of scar reduction treatments post surgery as part of the package. They never told me that, so I got pissed and thought they were trying to upsell me. Wish they would've told me it was included... and necessary. 5. Ask your scar removal nurse the best scar cream/remedy. Mine said that the scar strips that stick on seem to work the best for her patients 6. The Dr. will also do injections in the scar tissue to dissolve bumps and even out the scarred skin. She can only do so many tho before the skin is too thin and you can see the implants through the skin. 7. You will always wear a bra- all day and even in bed at night. It just feels better. Plus you have 2 weights in your chest pulling down your skin. No reason to spend a small fortune just to have droopy tits. I wear my Hanes comfy bras all the time. I'd prefer to be wearing the pretty, sexy lacy ones... but they don't make them in my size= "comfortable" 1. Can someone please make a sexy, pretty and comfortable day to day bra? 8. Your new boobs are pulling your shoulders forward and causing you to hunch- unless you correct it you will have back and chest pain-especially if you work from home. Extra effort needs to be made to stand up straight. As my chiropractor says- you bought those ladies, now show them off! (Shoulders back and down, long spine, chest out) 9. I am very active and play extreme sports. Many women who have implants and play extreme sports wear plastic cup sports bras to protect their ladies. They do, and likely always will, feel weird during any type of impact (even and especially during sex). 10. I had a boyfriend shortly after I got them and I was embarrassed take my top off... but, he did not mind the scars at all btw... your future or current partner should like them... or you're with the wrong person. 11. Although the Dr. Did a fantastic job, there is something foreign in my body, and while they look alllllllllmost natural, there is a slight unnatural curve of my cleavage- that I don't mind- but is a tell tale sign of augmentation (balloon-like curve) read more

I wanted a simple procedure done so I had a friend tell me how happy she was with the Dr.Walden cosmetic technicians so I made an apt on 5656 Bee Caves rd. I had to fill out several pages of history about my overall health. I liked the fact they were careful so if I had a reaction the staff and technicians would know my medical history....... a major plus. Kristin today was my technician remarkable results so happy. I will be a regular at this location in the future they had a discount on the filler. I love it very little pain and just grateful. I love the fact the Kristen was personable and nice so I could establish a trusting longstanding relationship. I want to try other procedures in the future they can do about anything you want. For your information they actually have two offices one main surgical building and the other building is walking distance which is Building D. The staff is very personable not the fake smiles in other cosmetic surgeons offices where they sort of do a parade of false results and anticipation. I felt very comfortable and finally at home type setting. I posted photos but one negative is the parking good luck finding a spot you may have to beat down the elderly pulling in front of you just to take your spot after waiting for 20 minutes, lol. I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Walden and her staff. I've been seeing Kristin regularly for Botox and Restylane Silk for almost a year. She is truly an artist with injections. I'm 26 and I get Botox for my RBF (I was tired of people always asking me if I was upset), 11's and expression lines on my forehead. I'm very expressive and Kristin always gets it perfect - I still have enough movement in my forehead to look like myself without worrying about deep lines in the future! I also have naturally full lips but have noticed a small loss in volume and have always wanted my Cupid's bow slightly more defined. We did a micro lip and I'm obsessed with the results. My lips just look like my natural lips when I used lip liner. She also isn't kidding when she tells you to let her fix things if you don't love he results. I had some lumps and slight unevenness due to my natural lip shape and she was MORE than happy to fix them (free of charge). Kristin is a perfectionist and an injection expert. I've also seen Dr. Walden's laser specialist, Courtney. Let me tell you, this gal has changed my life and has so much compassion. I've suffered from adult acne for the past 3 years. I had perfect skin before this started. I went in for a consult with Courtney about 4 months ago when my acne was at its worst because I had read about some laser treatments helping acne. She was straight up with me and really broke the treatments down by what they can and can't help with. Absolutely no bullshit. She suffered from acne herself and also brought Dr. Walden into my consult to look at my skin even though my appointment was just with Courtney. Long story short, my PCP had been trying to get me to try a topical that interacted with one my dermatologist had me on. Courtney and Dr. Walden urged me to talk to my PCP about it again after going through what I was currently using since he had been following acne even though I was seeing a dermatologist for it and once my skin healed, we would do a micro laser peel to help with my uneven texture and pigmentation from the acne. I just went in on Friday for my micro peel with Courtney and I couldn't be happier with the results. She gave me back my face. If I hadn't gone for that initial consult, I probably would still be seeing my old dermatologist and my PCP would still be trying to convince me to give his treatment recommendation a shot. The picture is of the micropeel (you can also see my lips in it too though, super natural!). The left is immediately prior to the procedure and the right is today (Wednesday), which is 6 days post-peel. Courtney changed my life. I know it sounds silly but she really did. There were days when my acne was so bad (I'm a picker, which does me no favors!) that I had to take a sick day from work or I would cancel plans because I was too ashamed to leave the house since no amount of makeup could cover the open acne sores. Really disappointing! My consult was very brief, I'm not even sure Dr. Walden really even looked me in the eyes once. Her staff was very disorganized and rude. When it came down to speaking about cost I was given a word document showing an OUTRAGEOUS quote . The woman who gave me the quote didn't explain anything, just asked "when did you want to book". I was really taken back, and completely uncomfortable with the staff. I was never even given an explanation of why i should choose Dr. Walden for this selective procedure. Came here 2 years ago for my first and only lip injections. Have been very impatiently waiting for it to dissolve and go back to normal because they were done incorrectly apparently and I'm honestly afraid to have anyone else touch my face now to fix it. Still sitting here with a lump above my upper lip that is very obvious when I smile or talk. I emailed Kristin about it a few months back explaining the situation and the only response I got was that it was very weird because they don't inject stuff up there and to heat it up with a hot wash cloth and massage the area, which did nothing. Dr. Walden did a great job with my (male) rhinoplasty. Not only am I very happy with the results (though it's been less than two weeks, so there's still a lot of swelling), but the recovery was almost completely pain free (with medication). I was pleasantly surprised given the number of accounts I'd read of discomfort during the first week of recovery. Of course, with the bruising and bandages I still looked like hell, but felt fine. NOT RECOMMENDED: I had to make an appointment several months ahead due to a lack of availability. About a week before the appointment, I was informed that Walden would not be available. We changed the appointment to earlier in the day when Walden would be available, but my wife was unable to change her work schedule to go with me. When I arrived for the appointment, I was told that Walden had an emergency and I would meet with the nurse (not a nurse practitioner). First, the nurse asked if I were there for a brow lift. It is easy to see that I do not need a brow lift. NB: guys should almost never have a brow lift as it leaves a scar across the head that can be seen when hair recedes. Also, you will have the up-swept eye brows of Sly Stallone, Kenny Rogers and Cruella De Vil. Second, the nurse asked if I were interested in an upper or lower eyelid surgery. Honey, open your eyes, there is no evidence of lower lid lag. Third, Artis Hair Transplant is done by tech's who come in from Dallas. I was interested in fuller eyebrows and there was no mention of the topicals that can have benefit. Based upon the photos of Walden, that are everywhere in the office, to me Walden is looking quite "hard". This is not great advertising as to aesthetics. Buyer Beware! read more

Most disappointing!!!! It was the worst mistake for me to consider them. So last yr i decided to look for a skin specialist for my acne scars which i had for last 6-7 yrs.. i was tired of using make up to hide them and hence wanted a permanent soln. So after a lot of search on google and reading reviews online, I decided to go for a free consultation session with them. I was under the impression that someone will take a good look at my skin under some strong light to understand how damaged the skin is or how deep are the scars or something ... and there I met Courtney, who without taking a good look plainly suggested I should go for Laser. I thought since she is a pro she might have noticed whats wrong with my skin. Now i have always been afraid of laser, heard some bad stories from friends and was never convinced of it. Hence i asked for an alternate solution, pat came the response of microneedling. I was happy, because Courtney made me believe that i'll surely see improvement and also gave reference of their own receptionist who went through the same process herself and saw improvement. Day came the first sitting, there were no pictures taken, and we straight away went for the treatment. 2nd sitting, we were about to start off with another session when i asked how are they going to compare if there is any improvement and then she realized she forgot to take the pictures the first time. Seeing her confidence that results are generally seen after 3rd sitting I continue to hope for some improvement. 12 weeks passed 3 sessions were completed and i could not see a fraction of improvement. In return my skin became super dry and, i could see even more open pores than before. Meantime we moved to Houston, but having paid for 3 sessions in advance i wanted to know what went wrong. Why there was no improvement. Called up courtney and we scheduled for a follow up meeting. Went to austin, and with no guilt/shame, she was quick in saying I already suggested you laser treatment initially. And i was like, if u already knew it, then why suggested microneedling. You convinced me i'll see the results with this treatment too.... Why waste my time, my money and give me false hope then? I would absolutely stay away from Walden for Rhinoplasty. My nose was left unfunctional and I have been unable to breath since the procedure in 2011. She left me with a very narrow nose and pinched tip. Not to mention it was noticeably asymmetric. When I brought up these issues to both her and Dr. Sherrell J. Aston who was her mentor they were both dismissive, claiming my nose was asymmetric to begin with and the breathing wasn't a problem. I just underwent revision septo/rhinoplasty to correct the mess which involved removing a good deal of scar tissue. Save your money for someone who specializes in noses and is an ENT. read more

This doctor has terrible skills as a surgeon. I had my breast done by Dr. Walden and I ended looking like a freak show. When confronted about it she was very cold and felt she did nothing wrong. I never thought laser skin rejuvenation would correct my sun damage but guess what?? It did and I couldn't be happier. I have suffered from hyperpigmentation and uneven skin texture for years. Being a sun/baby oil worshiper in my teens didn't help matters now that I'm in my late 30's. My skin got even worse after I had my son. I have been to 2 skin care places in Austin which I won't name. I was a little apprehensive but showed up. My appt took 45 minutes and I left looking sunburned but as the days progressed...2 to be exact...my skin began to flake off. I could totally see the pigment lifting. By day 4/5 my skin looked amazing and 45 days later it still does. While there is a tiny bit of pigment left, it's 85% better than before. My husband was AMAZED so I know it worked if he noticed a change, and so was I. I plan to schedule 2 lighter treatments (BBL I think, which they said won't cause as much redness) over the winter months to ensure the results stay. The office space is very pretty with a welcoming environment. The breast augmentation took a few hours in her in-office surgery suite, I was able to go home shortly after waking. The next two days were uncomfortable but the pain was managed well with medicine Dr. Walden prescribed. I was only on pain meds for three days total! I did have to wear a strap around my upper chest to push the breast muscle down for two weeks. In my opinion the strap hurt way more than the actual procedure. I'm three and half months post op and I couldn't feel better about my appearance. My breasts look and feel very natural, even my lady friends have said they look fabulous. I just got my dysport refreshed by the lovely Kristin Gunn! I've been going to Kristin for a few years now and she has always exceeded my expectations. She is very professional, but also very friendly and personable. I love that she makes great recommendations for me that aren't over the top...
