I've been here once before and it was great. The people working are always nice, but yesterday when I went and got my eyebrows threaded it hurt a lot more than usual (I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for about 6 years now). I thought it was weird, but it always hurts so it's fine, she told me my hair was really coarse and so that it's hard. Today my right eyebrow is in so much pain, but my left eyebrow is completely fine. I've never had this happen before and disappointed that this is a service I paid for. read more

I've been coming here a few months and I usually do eye-brow threading ($12) and Brow Tinting ($30). I've tried the waxing ($10) but I regularly use retinol so I try to do threading instead. They always do a good job. If you're getting your eyebrows tinted, be prepared to articulate what color you want. You can make appointments or walk-in. I've never waited more than 10 minutes as a walk-in. There's plenty of parking available. read more

I've been looking for an eyebrow specialist for a while now and I thought I found her. I read through previous reviews to see who was highly recommended and I came across Nelsi. I'm always anxious trying a new person, but I always specify exactly what I'm looking for and usually the esthetician is able to execute my vision. Nelsi did a wonderful job listening to my concerns regarding the shape of my brows and cleaning them up without making them too thin. I was impressed with the outcome and decided I would try her again the next time I needed my brows threaded. When I returned the second time, I reiterated the same desire to clean them up, not remove too much hair on the tail line and keep them naturally arched. I'm not sure where the miscommunication was, but my eyebrows were thinner than usual on the tails with a small gap in one of them and has straggling hairs that could've been removed to create a clean line. I'm back to growing out my eyebrows for a few months and filling them in with makeup in the meantime. So, This was a last minute decision because it was almost their closing time but I had to work the next day so go figure. But my eyebrows came out pretty good. One thing that always irritates me about these threading places is that they act like they reign supreme over other eyebrow trimming styles. like there is always the question: Do you wax your eyebrows? And when I say I have their like ohhh That's why their too thick. Then when she was done she was like I can't really do the other side so your going to have to get a 25 dollar tint. like what? My eyebrows are already super dark. So anyway, just don't ask that. Just do the brow. Anyway, my brows are nice post threading. But not like snatched like I like them. Had an absolutely fantastic experience here!! I yelped for brow threading and found this spot had great reviews. And saw why right away! Zara was my brow specialist and she was absolutely amazing. She greeted me immediately when I walked in, taught me how to check in easy. The wait on screen said 6 minutes but, she promptly took me back to her chair and we had our consultation. First things first so let's back up... this place is SO cute! It is in a very convenient area and when you first walk inside, you know you have come to the right place for you beauty/waxing/threading needs. Great decor, cozy atmosphere and VERY clean. When Zara sat me down I noticed how comfortable the chair was and felt at ease. I explained my concerns with being so blonde and worried the light brown tint would be too much (It is the lightest they have). She assured me it would be great and I trusted her to take the reins. I am so glad I did! My eyebrows have literally never looked this good. Yay! First she threaded them, then advised me to have her take the weight out of my right brow to even them up. This only took about two minutes each brown. Then she had me take a look in her mirror to check out her work. Solid! She cleaned them off and then proceeded to tint them - about another two minutes per brow. Then she was done and I was looking and feeling fabulous!! The brow threading and tint together cost $25, plus I gave her a well deserved $10 tip. Overall it was a perfect experience. For anyone who is worried to try this place, or threading/tint in general, worry no more! Hardly painful it didn't really hurt at all actually. Incredible customer service, Zara was very pleasant and a very sweet lady who knows exactly what she is doing! I will always come to her to keep my brows on point from now on. I went here a few weeks ago to get facial threading for the first time. It was excruciatingly painful, but that was no fault of the business or the person who did it, I think I just have sensitive skin. The technician who threaded me was really friendly and sweet and tried to minimize my pain. I took off a star because I developed a huge itchy rash all over my face afterward and think it may have been related to a product they applied after they were done. They made sure to ask me if I'm allergic to aloe and I'm not, but before that they had applied something else (maybe witch hazel?) and that might be what I reacted to. They never said what it was so I'm not sure. All I know is that I had ugly itchy bumps all over my face for about a week, and washing my face with cool water and applying aloe several times a day didn't help clear it up faster. Even after waxing my skin has never reacted like this so I was disappointed because threading is supposedly easier on the skin and more hygienic. I took off another star because my eyebrow shaping wasn't even, with one being higher than the other and one having a higher arch than the other. Other than that they looked great, but I was hoping they would come out more evenly. If you don't have super sensitive skin and enjoy facial threading I'd definitely recommend them! But if you have sensitive skin that reacts poorly to waxing, I'm hesitant to recommend threading at all, here or anywhere else. read more

I usually visit the location in Midtown on Ponce but was looking overdue for an eyebrow cleanup and was in the area. I love that they accept walk ins, so an appointment is not required. The eyebrow threading was $8 and they have a punch card that you get a free threading on your 10th visit. The business is very clean, beautifully decorated and they have an electronic sign in so there's no confusion about which client is next in line. They accept cash if your total is over $10, not including tip; if you're just having your eyebrows cleaned don't forget the cash. On this visit Anna assisted me and she was super sweet and really took her time in making sure my arch was even. She had me view her progress on one eyebrow before she continued and made sure the shape was okay. I really appreciated her checking in with me, since one of my eyebrows is fuller than the other. This was the first threading place I discovered near my apartment when I first moved here. Growing up, I only went to my Indian neighbors' in-house salons to thread my eyebrows. I was initially scared to try out a salon, but let out a huge sigh of relief when I walked in here and noticed all South Asian women running this place! Since my first visit, I've been back a few times for both facial threading and body waxing. The result quality really depends on the technician you have, but I've been satisfied with my results the majority of the time. There has been a time or two where I felt like they threaded off too much of my eyebrow but that's easy (but annoying) to fix with a brow pencil. Tina has been my favorite technician so far, and she always does a great job with threading my brows! The wait time can vary a lot, but they have let me make reservations in the past which is recommended if you're looking to go during their busy hours. The price for eyebrows is $8, which is more expensive than what I'm used to paying, but it seems like a pretty fair price for a salon in Buckhead. Also, bring cash if you can since the minimum for card is $10! read more

This review is for the sugaring service. I needed a Brazilian for a vacation I was going on. I'd been getting my brows done by Nelsi for a few months and naturally I let her do my Brazilian. She suggested I do sugar instead of wax. I trust Nelsi so I took her advice. She offered me wine before the service which was very helpful! I hadn't been waxed in years and I remember that it hurt like hell. Needless to say, I braced myself for a near death experience. Nelsi applied the sugar paste and used a strip to take off the first patch of hair. It wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered. I thought it was just a fluke, but as she continued I commented that it didn't hurt as bad as I remembered. That's when she started telling me all the benefits of sugaring vs waxing. One of them being that it's 50% less painful! I can vouch for this! I have definitely added sugaring to the list of services I get from this place, and as always, I highly recommend Nelsi. Only place I go to in the city. Full Brazilian for $30, under arm wax for $8, eye brow threading for $10 (I think). Their prices are so reasonable and I am always satisfied each visit. I go once a month. The staff is friendly. They have a good reward system and multiple wax options. I have super thick eyebrows, and one grows in a little strange but they always work their magic. I do recommend going on an off day versus a Friday or Saturday. They get packed on the weekends, but that's what happens when a business provides a good service. Easily a 5/5. read more
