I've been here twice. You have to make an appointment. No walk ins. You can book online or call her. I booked online. It's super easy. She sends you a text to verify that your appointment has been received. I compared her prices to about 20 other waxing salons across San Antonio and I thought her prices we very reasonable. $55 for a Brazilian wax (which took about 30 minutes), $275 for a Full Body Wax. She was very professional and efficient. She only accepts cash, which may be inconvenient if you don't typically carry cash. But I say she's great because I have zero tolerance for pain and it really didn't hurt at all. She sprays you with a numbing spray before she starts and then uses a green and yellow wax with paper. Then she follows up with a lit up microscope and tweezers, which can feel intrusive, but I appreciate her attention to detail. She didn't talk much outside of instructions such as "can you lay on your tummy/back," but that was fine with me, because I prefer not to talk. Yes, I would come back. read more

She did a horrible and painful job doing my wax I went to get my under arms and Brazilian done after she finished my under arms I told her I was sick so I could get the heck out of there! I have had many waxes and one has never been so painful she could not rip the strips off in one piece and used WAY TOO Hot of wax! Then tried using left over cold wax to get my other armpit started! There was no way I was letting her do my Brazilian! WORST Brazilian wax ever! Booked on-line couldn't find the shop. ..I called her. she was rude. ..she said if I could not be in her salon by my appointment time I would owe her for the service anyway. I should have not shown. I was in. the parking lot and had been there for a while so I was foolish enough to go anyway. she was busy watching TV. .checking her text and appointment schedule WHILE DOING THE WAX. ...she got wax in places wax does NOT belong!!!! I didn't realize it til I got home. too numb before. my parts... are not all out there. In the end I had to go to heb get Sally Hansen wax strips for the wax removing liquid it has. My husband had to use a Q tip with the wax remover to remove the wax. It was extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing. I wouldn't send Hitler to this lady. .. no one deserves that. read more

Unfortunately, I probably won't go back to this establishment. From the time I arrived, I waited 10 mins before she returned to the room (which I did not complain about, however, if your policy is for the client to be on time, then it goes both ways). She came in, I asked questions pertaining to the level of care, detail, and use of products. Her response was a bit "out there", but again, I was satisfied enough with the response to continue. Once she started, she immediately took her phone out (repeatedly) and texted without a word, an apology, a NEW glove nothing... the waxing process, was quite messy. She kept taking her phone out to check and respond to messages so much that I had to ask if we would be done by the scheduled completion time, as I had other appointments and scheduled errands thereafter. Unfortunately, this revealed the wasted time and she rushed through my services, utilizing soft wax and strips, even in THE MOST intimate areas (and against my expressed wishes). I was extremely disappointed when I took a look at the painfully rushed job. SEVERAL visible hairs remained in all places that were "waxed"; clumps of wax were left in deep crevices; didn't listen to me when I specifically asked for hard wax, as I have sensitive skin and I know my body. She insistently told ME what she was going to use on MY body, claiming that all of her products were for sensitive skin; which was untrue. She repeatedly stripped super HOT wax in the same place (3-4 times)- it was almost like she didn't know how to "read" the direction of hair growth, or maybe inexperienced? I had open (yes, open as in burned so that it broke my skin) skin that is just healing from the service due to the overly hot wax and repeated application of the WRONG type of wax (for me)!!! I was going to bring my guy in for his FIRST waxing service, but I am so glad I didn't, as he would have been in so much pain and probably would NOT have completed the service with this waxer. I begrudgingly paid, smiled, and even tipped her, but I will DEF NOT be returning!!! I would not recommend this individual to new waxers, individuals looking to get sensitive and intimate areas waxed, or those with standards, especially for the price we pay for such services. ***Rushed, not the level of care, attention to detail, service, professionalism, cleanliness, or customer satisfaction that I am acclimated to. *** I will definitely not gamble again and go back to receiving my wax services out of town. read more

I had an appointment for a Brazilian wax last week. I was referred to Diane specifically for this service by a friend. I wish I had read the reviews prior and I probably would have thought twice about seeing her. The negative reviews about her are very accurate. She was rude and unprofessional from the moment I walked in. I was on time for my appointment so that was no excuse for her behavior. When I walked in she did not introduce herself or even greet me with a smile. She was not very welcoming. Instead she handed me a paper to fill out and instructed me on how to get undressed. It was my first time getting this service, which she was aware of, and I was very nervous about how painful it would be. I reminded her of this and she rolled her eyes at me. She asked me when was the last time I shaved in a very demeaning way. I told her somewhere between 7-10 days. She said that Inwas supposed to wait atleast 14 days and that there would still be hair left. She didn't even ask me if I still wanted to proceed. She did not explain anything to me or attempt to make me comfortable, she just started applying the hot wax to a large area. She immediately waxed three strips simultaneously and it HURT! She turned around within seconds and applied more wax. I blocked my private area with my hands and asked her to give me a minute. She yelled at me and told me to move my hands because there was was down there. I told her I understand but I needed a minute to catch my breath. She aggressively told me she didn't have a minute because she has other clients with appointments. I told her I understood, but that all I was asking for was a little compassion. She said she wasn't going to "argue" with me and that she was done. She walked out and left me there laying naked on the table with an unfinished wax job and a tiny drape just covering my private area. I have never felt so disrespected and humiliated. I was outraged! Within six minutes I was in and out. Getting a Brazilian is hard enough because you are exposing the most private part of your body to a complete stranger...and they are ALL up in there. A person can't be in a more vulnerable position. It seems that maybe Diane is arrogant, has an authority complex, or both. I am VERY surprised that she stays in business. I was preparing for a beach trip two days later so I had to sit in the parking lot and find somewhere else to finish the service. I ended up at The Wax Bar #3 and it was amazing! The worst pain I felt could not be compared to the pain I felt from Diane during the three strips she pulled. Which by the way left me with very red skin and tiny drops of blood. At The Wax Bar, I only asked for a 10 second break once and the licensed aesthetician was happy to give it to me. She was very sweet, explained every step of the process including what to expect, and she talked to me the whole time. She said the hair length was perfect and at the end she cleaned things up with minimal tweezing. She also used hard wax which was not as hot or abrasive. I already have my next appointment set up. If you expect good customer service beware, Diane will not be for you. read more

This is the second time I have gone to Diane for a Brazilian wax and being a "big" girl she makes me feel extremely comfortable with the procedure. She has a great site to book your appointment it even has faq's for first timers. Her attention to detail is always great. Even though it had been a while since my previous Brazilian she reassured me that with proper care the next time would not be as painful. She has a tv in her studio which makes for great conversation. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming. When confirming the appointment it is stated in the email that she would not accept anyone FIVE minutes late. My appointment was at 5:00. I arrived 10 minutes earlier and could hear that she was speaking with someone so I politely waited outside and decided to knock at 4:58 so she would know that I arrived in time. I heard no response even though she said she responded. And so at 5:05 I knocked again. This time I heard her and it was because she yelled saying that she was busy. It was at this time that I knew I was not returning. To make the experience with her worse, her overall demeanor was very cold. No eye contact, not even an apology for making me wait on her. The procedure of the hair removal was uncomfortable. She began without warning. I understand that having hair waxed is a painful process but I have been to other estheticians who are curteous enough to ask me to take a deep breathe and walk me through what was being done to my body. This woman did not say a single word willingly during the appointment which made it even more uncomfortable. I had to ask her the questions before I could even begin to start a conversation but by that time, she was already finishing up. This experience overall was just not a positive one. Yes, I pay to have my legs waxed not to make a friend BUT, as a consumer that has her legs waxed regularly, there is more than just waxing involved. I think anyone would agree in saying that hair removal can be an uncomfortable experience especially when done by a stranger and so the PROFESSIONAL should be considerate enough to ensure that their client is as comfortable as possible. This woman was just unprofessional. I highly suggest going to someone else unless you don't mind being yelled at from someone who calls herself a professional from behind a door while you wait past your appointment time just to have a painful experience by someone who has no consideration for how you feel. read more

She does a good job waxing. Nothing spectacular but a good job. What sets her apart is her absolutely horrible customer service skills. Granted, I did have to cancel because I couldn't find someone to watch my daughter. Life happens and circumstances change. After sending her a text explaining my situation approximately 23 hours and 56 minutes prior to my appointment. She sent a text back telling me not to book with her again. Wow... Wow. I have been coming to Diane ever since I moved to San Antonio two years ago. I had been going to the same person in Houston for almost ten years so it was a big deal for me to find someone new when I moved here. Diane is as good as my person in Houston - esp in regards to pain level - little to none. Thank goodness! I like that she uses two different kinds of waxes depending on the area (sensitivity) and she gives lots of good tips as to how to prepare before your appt and what to do afterwards - you only have to ask. And she is really experienced - she's seen it all! I love how easy it is to book and manage your appt w/her through her website and you can always reach her on her phone if you have issues.
