BODYROK is fun, fast paced and challenging. I have been going 1-3 times per week and have noticed a huge improvement in my core strength and overall body tone. The studio is locally owned and the owners are friendly and helpful, always welcoming to everyone. The classes are hard and fast paced, so it can take several classes to get in the groove and learn how to do everything correctly. However once you attend a few times, you will be hooked! I appreciate that there are so many class times to choose from and the location is super convenient in San Clemente. Amanda's classes on Sunday are my favorite! Overall I am very happy with this BODYROK location and will continue to attend to improve my strength and overall fitness. read more

I bought the new client unlimited deal because I love the 6:15pm class option. All of the instructors are very nice but Kimya is hands down the best. She has a very calm and confident demeanor and teaching style that really gets you to push through the flow even when you're drenched in sweat. Her core and cardio class was the best class I've taken here. read more

I've been to both SC & south MV. So happy south MV opened up and now go weekly. This is the most effective form of exercise I've ever done. It's not easy. It takes a few classes to learn how to properly do each movement but you feel and see results quickly. My schedule puts me in a lot of Sara's classes. She is great with explaining the movement & transitions and really good at sharing modifications until you've worked up the strength to hold each isolation. First class is free and the only thing you have to lose is inches. read more

Started out really well until it didn't. Class was fun. I struggled a bit but didn't die. Felt a bit embarrassed but figured - hey, it's my first class, I just needed to adjust to this new style of pilates. I def noticed the age difference but didn't want that to get me down. I mentioned to the owner/instructor that the workout was challenging for someone my age and he was quick to discourage me by telling me that "it was only going to get harder" and that "there are a few older women who can do this!" Damn. Harsh! I had inquired about membership when I walked in but felt completely deflated and age-shamed when I left. I guess my old lady money isn't welcome there. read more

If you want to change your body in a 45min workout while listening to great music, this is the workout for you. I've been going to BodyRok for a little over 18 months, and my core is now stronger than before I had a baby, and I am being complimented all the time by friends and family on how good I look. If you don't like being complimented, stay away from this place !! I have the 12x/month membership so I attend class 3 days a week. Carleigh and Marley are the instructors on the mornings I go, and they are both amazingly sweet people who I cannot thank enough for creating a space that I want to come back to week after week. What I love about the BodyRok brand in general is that all the routines change every month and the music is so good and the perfect loud volume that distracts you from the hard work you are doing. I've gone to other pilates studios where the instructor does what they want and plays their own music, and I would get bored after a few classes because they felt the same. I love this class. I signed up for an introductory series and when it expired I re-upped. My morning class is typically run by Scott who adds an additional element of motivation. He gets you started reminding you to "start hard first " and "scale back when you need to" because it pushes me to give it my all. His energy keeps you going and really helps to keep you going. He reminds us that it isn't a competition and we are there to just do our best work for us. He said that the key to the class is consistency and he is right, I have noticed over each week improvements in my strength, balance and body comp. I'd definitely try Bodyrok...soon as classes are starting to book up. read more

Rude, stuck up owner. Despite the company policy, they turned us around for showing 4 minutes late WITH 3 SPOTS OPEN. On top of that, they kept our money and treated us terribly. No one else was there on wait list, so I guess their business model is scamming new clients. Don't give you money to these people, go to Sweathouse or Club Pilates. read more

I love bodyrok and have been going to the east bay locations for a couple years now. While down in OC to intern for the summer, I thought I'd try out this location. I want to give any prospective bodyrok customers the low-down so they can make educated choices. The instructors are far less experienced than east bay bodyrok, then again it is a new location. It tends to get repetitive no matter if I take a Flow, Core Cardio, or Six Packs and Backs class I end up doing some variation of power lunges, carriage kicks, inner thighs, and a cardio circuit (cardio circuits are not typically included in flow or six packs + backs classes). This can get frustrating when you take 2 classes a couple days after the other because that muscle group is still fatigued when I have to work on it again. This is a minor discrepancy but still, it gets redundant and unmotivating to do the same moves all the time. However, I do really enjoy Shelby, Marley, Lindsay, and Carleigh. Really amazing instructors. Shelby always switches up the moves and plans out the workouts thoughtfully. Marley is super motivating. Lindsay got me super sore and I hadn't felt that satisfied by a bodyrok session since I took class in Bodyrok East Bay. I wouldn't recommend Scott and Elise. In conclusion, I do recommend bodyrok, just be careful with the instructors you pick and be warned that it may get repetitive (don't buy unlimited tbh) . Bodyrok is still the way to go when it comes to pilates and is such an efficient workout. read more

Found this place on Class Pass and it looked great and had good reviews, so I decided to check it out. Got here 6 minutes late because I didn't know where it was (I'm from LA) and because my dog threw up in the car and I had to clean it up. The instructor was super rude and said you're late, we can't take you. I've been doing pilates for 7 years and have no issues following the class. The owner then got up and told me I needed to leave multiple times because I'm disrupting class and that she won't refund me even though there were 2-3 spots left in class (literally saw empty spots because again, the machines were right in front of my eyes). There are so many studios that have a 10 minute grace period and are a lot nicer about letting people know that you can't come to class instead of saying "we can't take you," "you need to leave" and then walking away... The machines were crusty and old (saw them as they were right in front of the door) and the instructor and owner were so rude. Looking at their response, it looks like they get super defensive, say you're lying, or say stuff like "BREAKING NEWS the world doesn't revolve around you" and just adding to their rude behavior. It doesn't, but there's no need to be rude. Never coming back here!! read more

Best workout ever. After starting here I can't go anywhere else. I have health issues and can't do high impact work exercises but I still want to go hard!! And this place is the perfect balance.
