With that said, the opportunity to return to Club Sweat recently presented itself and I took advantage. When I took classes from the same trainers that are at the Westport location now, I lost close to 30 pounds in 3 months by attending 2-3 classes (45 minutes long) per week. There is something to be said for a spin class on an elliptical trainer versus a bike. I highly recommend this business and their workouts. Came 15min before so that he could show me the correct posture and movement. It was hard to get it at first, but towards the end, I think I was synchronized with the other rowers. Stephen was a great instructor and individually pushed us to the finish at the end. There's an area to store your stuff in number coded lockers and a water fountain. Very clean studio. Parking in the front and more in the back of the studio.

Other helpful staff, adjusted my bike, shoes and explained how it works. It was my first time at a Soul Cycle and my first time in a looooong time cycling. I enjoyed the lighting changes in the class. I got to blow a candle and make a wish. It really felt special. Thank you for the experience. The location is 30 minutes from my home so I didn't join just too far for me, but I had a lovely experience there.

My partner and I decided to bring my sister-in-law for her first class, we called ahead to reserve the extra bike. Upon entry the studio manager Lauren Mallozzi was extremely standoffish and rude. Lauren will be the reason I will not be coming back to this studio because of her horrible customer service and inability to articulate an explanation for not permitting my sister-in-law to the studio. Lauren was more focused on her computer, gave me the wrong size shoes and completely lost sight of COMMUNITY/what SoulCycle stands for. I urge this studio to treat loyal customers better. There was no reason for her demeanor and dismissive energy.

Everyone is so kind and energetic, and coming in for workouts here is both fun and satisfying (as long as as you like getting your butt kicked during your workout). Spoke with other nearby businesses (some CP, some different studios) and they said this is a known issue with this owner. They oversell subscriptions and underhire teachers / classes to maximize their profits. Surprising that this type of business practice is legal. I love all the classes and instructors are all helpful and now that they have morning classes on weekdays, it works for me better. Love that they listen to your needs. Latest is the virtual class they are offering while we are on the situation of lockdown. It felt like you are still in normal class in the studio. So awesome!
