Kenosha's best spa! Clean, professional, up to date. I found this spa through checking Yelp reviews of similar places in the area. I was in a LOT of pain due to a sports injury and needed a good massage therapist. Every single visit I've had, I have left so incredibly relieved. They don't pressure you to buy more or to come to classes, or do anything that you don't want to. You can tell that each staff member has your best interest in mind. I've seen 3 different massage therapists and have loved them all. I can't recommend this place enough! I visited Bodywise because they had great reviews and were rated very highly. I was desperate for a massage as my muscles were beginning to ache and spasm. After calling to schedule a same day appointment and getting confirmation several times that the therapist who I had just booked with was able to perform deep tissue I headed to Kenowhere from Illinois. I was visually pleased upon arriving as the place makes you instantly feel relaxed. I also confirmed with the receptionist that my massage would be deep tissue and she said yes and also told me at that point that a deep tissue costs more than a Swedish massage - whatever I was achy. I was even more pleased to learn that they had a full staff that could cater to my body needs such as a chiropractor and acupuncturist. I was so excited to have found this place when I learned that information. Oh maybe I forgot to mention that I am also a massage therapist just as I also "forgot" to mention it to the staff at Bodywise. I was greeted by my therapist and I also confirmed with her that I wanted a deep tissue massage...she said ok and we headed back to the treatment room. My therapist was very through when speaking to me about my history and finding out why I was coming in for a massage - which I really liked. After maybe 5 min of small talk and the therapist informing me of her ideas of massage and how she could help me - I jumped on the table for my massage. During the massage I asked for deeper work several times because the massage that I was receiving was very light and I believe the therapist was unable to go any deeper, after maybe my third time asking for deeper work the therapist kind of rudely tells me that they just got a male on staff and maybe I should have booked with him - if only the woman at the front desk would have informed me of this...this review would probably be going a lot different. I decided to suck it up and just go through 90 min of light and annoying pressure. However, as she moved further along into the massage the one reason I was visiting which I had informed her my QL was really spasming and definitely needed some work whether it had been deep or light - and she skipped right over it several times without doing any special techniques on that area to relieve any tension or spasms - I think at this point the therapist was upset that I kept asking for more pressure so she was basically just rubbing me with no technique at all. About 30 min into the massage after not receiving even work on the area that I advised her was giving me issues, I told her to stop the massage at an 60 min - I've never stopped a massage no matter how bad it was. I got dressed and went to the front desk to checkout. The MT and receptionist were there to greet me, the MT passed me a glass of water and walked away. The receptionist didn't even acknowledge the fact that I was booked for 90 min but only got 60 min and to make matters worse I was still charged for a deep tissue massage. I tried to reach out to the owner to advise her that I had received a massage from one of her contractors and was not happy...maybe hoping that she would resolve the fact of me paying so much extra for a deep tissue massage that I didn't receive and maybe even say hey come in at a discounted rate to one of our other therapists that performs deep tissue massage a please give my business another chance...well I didn't get that. All I got was...my therapist thought that your muscles couldn't handle deep tissue sorry your were unhappy - have a great day. I rated them with two stars because even though it wasn't what I wanted it was ok but the owners response to my unhappiness could have definitely been more customer service friendly. So if you are just looking for a mediocre massage in a great atmosphere Bodywise is where you want to go. Maybe you will be happy...maybe you won't...but if you are unhappy don't tell anyone at Bodywise because they don't care apparently. read more

My last time was a not so great experience. i never got a confirmation call, when i got there i was not presented with paperwork so the therapist just asked me what to focus on. (They had me fill it out after wards) I told her a 90 min. Swedish massage and i got a deep tissue instead. I like to feel relaxed and euphoric after a massage. I felt sore and achy. I kept telling the therapist im hurting but she kept on. I thought about it after I left and that was more of a deep tissue. I don't hate this place, but i had a bad experience. I felt like i wasted my money. I tipped her but man i felt like a wasted $125 to be sore all day and night. Even after drinking a lot of water . This was not my first time here, I've been going here for the last 3 years. Im extremely disappointed. :-( read more

My first visit here was just about what I expected. Clean, nice decor, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere. I had a focal point massage for 30 mins on my neck/shoulder area. I enjoyed it so much that I booked another appt for the following week for a for a 90 min full body hot stone massage. I thoroughly enjoyed that massage and even recommended a friend give them a try. I made another appt before leaving. When the time came for that appt I actually had to reschedule it due to having the flu and then I was moving on top of that. It got rescheduled for the following week with no problems, no questions asked no issues whatsoever. Following week when it came time for my appt, I got stuck at work (I own my own dog grooming business) ironically running late waiting for one of my clients to pick up their dog. I received a phone call regarding my tardiness and my heart sank bc I couldn't believe I actually forgot about the appt, I was recovering from moving a 4 bedroom house plus getting over the flu...I really was looking forward to that massage! I apologized profusely and explained how I was stuck at my shop waiting for a client who was running late on their pick up. I was then told I could not reschedule and not only would I be charged for missing this appt (which I understood) but I was also going to be charged for "missing" the last one I rescheduled due to illness. So in total they wanted to charge me $240! The receptionist was rude and actually was putting the charges through as I was on the phone. I asked if I could speak to a manager or the owner, I was told she wasn't in and they would leave a note for her to contact me the next day. Needless to say I'm still waiting for that call and this happened well over a month ago. Luckily for me that card I used was a reloadable gift card my brother gave to me for Christmas so they were unable to charge the $240 but did charge the $120 for the missed appt. Now being in the service industry myself as well as being a business owner I am appalled at the way I was talked to and treated by the person who called me. I would never in a million years ever think to treat one of my clients that way. No understanding, no willingness to work with me or even listen and absolutely no mention of needing to pay for both appts bc I had to reschedule the second one. I had every intention on coming back with my business for many years to come not to mention I had put their cards out in my reception area for my clients bc I was so impressed (I have since removed their cards) No way to conduct business...not if you plan on keeping your clients anyway. read more

Bodywise is an amazing addition to Kenosha! They offer such a wide variety of Health and Wellness services. I started seeing their acupuncturist, Jessica, a couple months ago to help prepare my body for pregnancy. Through her acupuncture and recommendations of herbs, vitamins, and diet she was able to help my extremely heavy and irregular periods become regulated, shorter, and much more comfortable. I joined the yoga classes about a month ago at Bodywise. I've done yoga before at other studios and teach yoga to my elementary students after-school but fell out of my own practice for awhile. I've mostly took classes with the instructor, Karen, and I highly recommend taking a class with her! She has reminded me of how important it is to make time for my own practice. She is very intuitive to everyone's ability level and will either slow the pace down or add challenging options for those who need it. I've also taken a class with Raelene, whom is also highly recommended. She makes sure to get off her mat and help you as needed. The staff at Bodywise is also always welcoming! I've been here three times for a massage including last night. The first time I booked a massage in person while down at the Market and they made a mistake with the time by 30 minutes, The front desk is very helpful and accommodating. Sometimes they are with a customer and you get VM - but they call right back. The three times I've been, I called at the last minute and they had something available in 1 - 2 days. Also - their days and hours open are excellent. For the 3 massages, I would give one of the therapists and 8, and the other 2 a 9. They had a black Friday and I could not get there before they close so they gave me the discount Wednesday night while I was there - I purchased five 90 minute massages. I'm obviously going back and would highly recommend them, Also their physical space is nicely appointed. read more
