Pedi points I loved: This was the owner-operated, quiet, non assembly line, calm, clean, no shared recirculating jet water (clean new bowl of water each time) type place that I look for. No "cheese grater" callous remover, great massage, offered water or tea and even a snack (that might be just happenstance that day) and magazines, no jabbing/poking with tools, clearly experienced, very soft music (not annoying- mostly quiet and relaxing), no one else around so I loved the peace and quiet. She also does confirmation calls the day before, which I think shows extra professionalism and that she books up fully. Might be tough to find the place at first by map apps, worst case just park on Oak St and wander the south side alley halls and she's down at the very end of the east walkway. Only thing I'd change is being that I weigh more and she weighs less, that rolling pedicure straddle bench on the smooth floor was slightly uncomfortable (unless u can lock the wheels?) because it's hard to keep my feet up on it without pushing her away lol. People who have done lots of non-massage chair pedis might know what I mean. But that's nothing. This was perfect.

I usually need some deep tissue so I also appreciate her 6th sense for working on a muscle for awhile and then giving it a break so it's never more than I can handle. We sat in the chairs and waited 45 minutes until they started. The entire process took about two hours. I returned today, thinking it may have been a one off day and they were busy. I arrived on Friday at 10. I requested a pedicure and a rebase. They sat me in the pedicure chair, where I waited an hour just letting my feet soak in water until someone finally came by. The pedicure was fine, not great not terrible. I then wanted french tips on my nails, we talked about doing a pink color underneath to make it look natural. These are probably the worst french tips I've ever gotten. No pink in sight, definitely tan. My fingers are incredibly messy, I have acrylic all over my skin and under my nails. I most likely will not be returning after this. So frustrating because I payed over $150 for these two services and was very disappointed.

I decided to try this place because of the good reviews on Yelp and I am glad I did. I made an appt and Janet did my manicure and pedicure. She is very thorough and knows how to apply gel very well.
