I've been going to this location for over a year now and the services just keep getting worse. Twice now I've had massage therapist on their phone texting during a massage and one of the same while doing my facial, Savannah and Megan were the two on their phones, and yet nothing is done to resolve this ongoing issue. This is a service I paid for and for one hour it would be nice to have the continuity of a massage or facial without a 1.5 to 10 minute pause. Won't be returning here again. I received a gift card for Spavia Day Spa. I made an appointment on a Thursday for the following Wednesday and was looking forward to it. On Saturday they contacted me saying their person was sick and we needed to reschedule. I can't help but wonder how they knew on Saturday that they would be sick on Wednesday. But fine. I rescheduled. Then the morning of my appointment I woke up nauseous and as my appointment time got closer I began vomiting. I feel it was only right to cancel. But of course, it was less than 24hours so I was told they would charge me 50%. So I asked if she preferred I come in sick and expose her staff. She said it was policy. And there was no changing policy. Fine. I angrily hung up but called back less than ten minutes later and said I would come in. She said no. That she had already cancelled my appointment. I repeatedly asked for my appointment back but she refused. And when I checked my credit card. They had charged me $89. But my services were supposed to be $149. And half of $149 is not $89. Check the math. So I then texted them and said that I had a gift card and they should credit my credit card for the $89 and I gave them the number from my gift card to charge my $75.50 cancellation to. And they will not respond. So I guess I will just buy their products on-line because I will never enter their spa. Hope their products are better than their customer service. read more

I've been to spavia before and it was great. I don't know how the massage therapist I got this round even works there. To say the massage was terrible would be an understatement. We went in for a couples massage for our anniversary. And we were both very excited to do this together, so it was a special occasion. I've had fabulous massages at spavia before. My fiancés massage was great though (Alex did a great job) Robbie on the other hand.. TERRIBLE. He asked if I had any areas I wanted to focus on. I told him shoulder, lower back, glutes and my butt area. (I work a job where I'm standing about 8 hours straight so there's tension there) not sure why he asked if he was going to avoid those areas entirely. He spent about 30 minutes on my shoulders, SLOWLY pushing down on them. I literally counted in my head how long it was taking. I asked for more pressure and then he would just push down really hard but not move his hand. Anytime he would get lotion, he would wipe it onto his hands and not on me, so the massage was rough. You know that feeling when the lotion has dried up and you're massaging someone and it hurts. Yeah that was this. Literal pain because he wasn't using lotion. Absolutely no communication, asking if the pressure was right. Multiple times I told him things hurt, my neck, my arms, my legs from the pressure he was giving. He'd go soft and then really hard, and it was very inconsistent. The times he would use pressure was on bone, the insides of my arms and my fibula/shins-just literal pain. At one point, he held down my shoulder and stretched my neck so far it pinched. I cried out, and immediately wanted to be done. I thought to myself, how the hell do I get out of this situation. I'm stuck naked on a massage chair. And my partner is enjoying their massage. What do I do?! What do you do?! I'm now holding back tears realizing how uncomfortable I am and this man is touching me. I spoke to the front desk, which then they got a manager. They gave us $30 off and a $20 coupon for next time. She informed me to write a review, because she couldn't do more due to corporate. it should've been comped completely from the experience I had, at least my massage. The manager didn't really seam to take me seriously even though I was in tears and clearly upset. I'm not sure if I'll return again, to be that uncomfortable and in that situation is something I'm still struggling with now. Spavia is starting to rip off its customers. It's becoming more and more understandable why they can't keep their massage therapists if they are trading them the way they are treating their customers. Not only can they not handle applying credits correctly, they are unchanging for really bad massages. Their current business practices are causing more stress than their therapists can provide relief for. Keep a close eye on your bank account if you've given them any payment information in the past. read more

My husband gifted me with the season facial, the Rose one during February. I was super excited to give Spavia another chance as I hadn't been there in a few years. However, I was quite disappointed with the experience overall. The esthetician seemed rushed in both the facial itself and in her explanations when I inquired about certain products and advice in ideas to support my home skin-care regimen. She wasn't attentive when I described the Farmfresh products I used (which had been recommended by a previous esthetician at another Spavia location) or concern and instead wrote a brief list of recommended products from a new line. It felt more sales-pitch like than pure recommendation. To make matters worse, I broke out with an itchy rash on my arms from the scrub and/or oil used. I have sensitive skin and gladly would have shared that information with her beforehand, had I been given the opportunity. She also ended my treatment 5 minutes early. The experience was more stressful than relaxing and felt unprofessional on multiple levels. On the plus side, the front desk staff was absolutely delightful and kind, and I have nothing but high acclaims to give them. read more

I came here for the first time yesterday and my experience from scheduling to checking out was great! I had my massage with Heidi, and she was AMAZING! Absolutely one of the best massages I've ever had. I added hot stones to my massage, and it was a great choice! I felt so relaxed. Being able to choose the music I wanted and if I wanted to talk or not during my massage was the icing on the cake! I will absolutely be coming here again soon to see Heidi! I booked a 100 minute deep tissue massage. Not gonna tell you her name because I want to be able to book an appointment with her again (if this is like DDD there will be a huge line and I will never get to see her again ;). I asked her to focus on my shoulders and my hip with sciatica. She was a marvel! My shoulders felt the best they had in some time and my hip felt... normal. Hallelujah! The worst scheduling and customer service. Every month I've made an appt there's a scheduling issue, my therapist falls asleep or I'm waiting for 30 minutes after my appt. The front office DOESN'T SEND OUT CONFIRMATION EMAILS/TEXTS, so if any mistake is made in scheduling, it's impossible to know beforehand. I missed an appointment today because they were unclear about the specific time, and THEY STILL CHARGED ME EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THEIR FAULT! I really hate posting bad reviews. I paid $130 (20% tip because I feel guilty) for a facial. This experience was more stressful than relaxing. To begin, I felt as my face was burning from the heat of the facial mister. My face felt tender to touch after the basic treatment. As a person who HATES to speak up and complain, I requested that the facial mister could be moved father away from my face as it was too hot and the facial specialist acknowledged that it can get hot. I could not even relax throughout this process I felt like my face was melting and I couldn't breath. My treatment specialist was very nice. However, I would have appreciated her asking me if the temperature was okay, letting me know what she was doing throughout the process (I agreed communication) Not to mention, there was at least 20 minutes if not more of the 60 minute facial where my facial specialist did nothing. It was basically a waiting game of whatever was on my face to be ready to be removed. In previous facials I have received head massages and neck massages. The only thing she did was rub in the facial stuff (2 mins tops for each facial product) and then take it off. I was really looking forward to an enjoyable relaxing experience and am disappointed. I've been here twice, once for a couples massage and once for a facial/massage combo. The facial was wonderful, however they booked my facial and massage back-to-back so I didn't have time to shower in between. Since the massage was first, I would have liked the opportunity to get the lotion/oil off me prior to having the facial. I didn't want to shower when I got home because of all the expensive lotions/etc. they put on me during the facial. But the man who did my facial was very nice, and talked to me about my at-home skin care routine which I appreciated. They have monthly specials, which is a good idea if you go to a spa often. I don't enough to have a membership, but it's still a unique idea. The couples waiting room is SO small, there was another couple in the room so my boyfriend and I just stood up waiting which wasn't very relaxing. The massage was good, but not the pressure I asked for. My locker also stopped working randomly, which the lady says happens "all the time". It conveniently stopped working when I was in the shower, so I was wandering all over the spa to find someone to help me back in my locker in a towel. The music playing also wasn't the one I marked on the box, but that didn't seem like a big enough problem to complain. Overall a pretty good experience, with easy parking and a nice, clean location. They have great deals online and I would try it out again. read more

Had a Spalebration there this past weekend. It was a disaster from the moment we walked in. This place is not equipped to offer spa parties. This was a spa party for my sister's bachelorette party, it was awful and not relaxing because of all we dealt with. The therapists were good and the services were decent, but the front desk staff and event/schedule planners are incompetent, lack customer service and were down right rude. I called days prior to our party and let them know we were going to be taking finger foods in and asked if they had plates, cups and plastic ware. They told me they had it all and the cups were plastic champagne flutes. We got there and the only thing they had were napkins, and the only cups they offered, were paper water cups. Then they put us in a "retreat" room, nice room, but it was a small area to be shared with our party and all other women guests. When we asked if we would be sharing the room with other guest, the front desk ladies rudely responded by telling us that because we didn't put a deposit down on the room we had to share it with other guests. That was fine, we didn't necessarily mind sharing the room but I'm upset that no one mentioned this deposit and by how rudely the staff snapped at us about it. Then to top it all off, after having my first service done I sat in the retreat room for 45 minutes before I went out and asked when my next services were scheduled. Good thing I did because they did my add on services for one of the other ladies who didn't even order them. They apologized and said they'd give both of us those services free of charge. Ha! The other gal left before I got out of my services (an hour and a half later) and they in fact DID charge her for the services she didn't even ask for. It's was their mistake and they still charged her after they said hey wouldn't. Then I went to pay and that was a disaster also. I'd stay away from this salon especially if you're looking for a fun, relaxed, organized spa day. This place is a joke and not able to accommodate a party. read more

Highly unprofessional. Had an issue with a couples massage bought through groupon. Somehow they didn't get a second massage therapist for it. Manager/ owner told us that one of the therapist quit two days before. Things like this happen and is understandable but the spa never contacted us about the problem to see if we could reschedule. Instead she tried to reschedule us the day of, 15 minutes before our appointment. When we asked her why this was our problem, she interrupted us numerous times simply saying she doesn't have an answer. She gave us the option to go back to back, and have one of us wait in the relaxation room for an hour each while one of us gets our massage. Only reason as to why we ended up doing that option is simply because it was bought through groupon and they were clueless on how to refund us our money. A great start to feel relaxed and pampered? Their solution to resolving this issue was a neck pillow. Will definitely go out of my way to get people to not go there. read more

spavia fort collins is an absolute disaster, none of the front desk people have any idea what they're doing, they told me the wrong time for my appointment so i showed up way too early, my robe was dirty and had a smelly stain on it, my facial was interrupted by someone coming in the room and talking which was extremely disrespectful, and then paying was a nightmare! The poor receptionist didn't know how to use a computer to save her life, tried charging me for the wrong service, when the owner came in to help she was rude and snappy and tried offering me a discounted service for next time but i will NOT be returning. avoid this place if you want a nice relaxing spa day!! read more

BE AWARE - I'm going to be as accurate as possible. My wife had gone in for a facial at Spavia at Foothills Mall and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Because of this, I scheduled a Couples Massage late last week for this Monday June 5th at 2:20 pm. Unfortunately, my step daughter got terribly sick this weekend, and my wife decided she needed to take her to the hospital this morning. I called Spavia as soon as my wife knew that she'd not be able to make our couples massage appointment (5 hours in advance of our appointment), explained our situation and that we needed to reschedule our appointment for a later date. The receptionist was very nice & professional, but explained that their policy is a 25% charge for any changes to an appointment within a 24 hour period, no exceptions! (A) I can understand a policy like this for "repeat offenders", and (B) Charging anyone $39 when they are not cancelling a service, but changing to another date is simply ABSURD...there's no viable way they can authentically justify that dollar amount. We have owned several client/service businesses and when their is a cancellation you typically call other clients and 'fill in the blank"...no harm no foul. So, Be Aware...this is a company that Chooses to be * Very Inflexible if you make any changes, and * Chooses to make a substantial profit off of you when you're forced to make a change... 25% of your entire full cost amount...WOW...Bad Policy...They've certainly lost our business!
