This site is also right near the playground so was easy to watch the kids. Full site hook ups with 30/50 amp electric and sewer as well as cable tv. Only thing is terrible cell service and WiFi. "The Barn" venue or event center is truly amazing and just a "cool place". It is VERY nice. From Rick in the store... to the on-site support by Deloris (hilarious and sharp) and her husband Fred, we enjoyed it. They were all friendly, accommodating and we will be back when it cools off some to rent the pontoon and fish on Gantt Lake. This park, it's staff and management continue to make improvements and it's one to visit and you will feel very welcomed. Some TV movie streaming issues yet they have cable, and otherwise a perfect trip and a very good venue for clubs, rallies or music events.

People should remember that before posting a bad review after choosing a park right off an interstate. That being said the further away the site the less likely you will be bothered by the noise. Vonda the owner is a very hard working person and does a wonderful job maintaining the grounds. She has a few pull through sites and three of them open up to a beautiful grassy area with shade trees. We chose one off these. All with full hook up. We are lucky enough to trust that our dogs would behave if off leash for short periods while we were outside with them. We have stayed three nights both times and just enjoyed the simplicity of the park. If you are looking for laundry facilities, showers and a pool this isn't your place.... If it is reasonable prices in a lovely setting is then give it a try.

The resort has lots of cool things like a solar heated pool, a rec room, docks. One piece of advice if you stay in the tents; Bring earplugs to sleep as the tent itself makes a lot of noise in the wind. ENJOY!

It was $6 per carload and we found parking easily in the large lot. There were three main access points to the sand and the release was happening at the one nearest to the front gate. It was a short walk from our parking spot as we were parked just past the second access point. The set up was wonderful and sand and water temperature great! People were lined up and respectful and the turtle release was beautiful. I can see how this would be a great beach to spend the day at.

Nobody was friendly. I asked if I could just pull over to the side and try to search up a new beach to go to. They said no I have to leave the park.. I can't tell you if it's a nice beach or not because we weren't allowed in. Make sure you get a reservation good luck they said they were full on a Tuesday at 10 AM.

It is always going to be 5 star review for the Resort but this time if this review was for the Ranger I would give a ONE star because he has decided to not buy dog poop bags and some people just don't clean up after their dogs if you don't provide the basics because they are not prepared and I don't blame them because you expect to find bags like in ANY other Florida State Park to find poop bags all over. Now instead there is dog sh!t in some places that the Ranger should go and pick it up himself just because he is trying to save money to finish construction of his new office and moving resources from one budget item to another is not the solution, please poop bags are a must Mr Ranger, adhere to your budget and buy some bags so whoever is unprepared can clean up after their dog.

Great trails, great park! We did 5 miles of trails and saw a lot. The terrain varied from paved, to…read moretrails, to sand to dunes. The trails are marked and there are several maps along the way. It would be hard to get lost. There are selfie spots along the trails too!! There are also trolleys that take you to the lake and to the beach. I would come back when in the area again for sure.
