Stopped in after dinner for some tea. They had a selection of teas and coffees (and yes hooka flavors). All the teas can be made with or without caffeine. The atmosphere is relaxing and casual. Did I mention it was casual. The chai tea we had was excellent we both agreed. The hooka smoke was not really noticeable. It was humorous to watch people as they pass. Many of them walk by a couple times trying to see inside. One guy actually walked in and looked then entire place over. I have done this before as well. Having no windows makes you wonder who is inside and what they are doing. It was quite crowded with a mix of students and others but favoring students. If you live in Clifton (or don't) and wonder about this place you should stop in and see what it is like. read more

Located on ludlow in the heart of this historical part of clifton blackie the owner has transformed what used to be a rundown and dirty bar called the golden lion into a new heart and soul for the area. This place truly has brought about what feels like a revival for an area that felt like it was dieing, and has brought new life back to the area and a new nightlife being open til 2am with wonderful live and background music. I've been a regular customer here since day 1 of it being open, and I can say I've been back almost twice a week or more since then. This is an ideal place to study and the owner is genuinely interested in the needs of his customers, to the point where before he opened knowing how much I study at his old hookah bar that he made sure to set up a spot for studying in a quiet corner, but even then the comfortable seating wonderful local art on display/for sale and lovely music is calm and relaxing conducive to both focusing on work or socializing. If you think that its only somewhere to go with friends you're wrong. From the moment you enter blackie or one of the other staff like katie or lucy makes you feel welcome, and blackie himself makes you feel like you're part of his family and will regularly introduce you to new people making it a great place to network. I can't think of a time I didn't enjoy myself completely there. the owner blackie is also a great person to go to when you need a new place to eat as I have never been disappointed with the suggestions of new places to eat he's given me over tea in the afternoon there. The tea is amazing, best in the city needles to say its not a joke when blackie warns you not to fall in love with his tea or coffee, which is crafted in ways only a true artisan could even hope to replicate. This is topped off by the delicious hand made desserts and snacks available. You'd have to be crazy to not like his dirty chai which at 9$ a pot sounds crazy but take one sip and tell me you wouldn't pay twice that its truly a masterpiece of tea! The hookahs are prepared in a way I myself am still trying to replicate after a year of trying. There you can request a mixture of either cheaper flavors rose mint peach being my favorite of them, or a higher quality slightly more expensive brand called starbuzz which has a multitude of delicious flavors like blue mist. Best atmosphere a hookah bar in the Cincinnati/NKY area can offer. Don't bother going anywhere else if you're looking for a place to chill, sip great coffee and smoke smooth hookah. Not exactly a restaurant so don't go hungry. If you're peckish though, they have plenty of tasty treats and sweets to hold you off. Was very good friends with the owner at one point of time, and he was a very sweet person to start with because we gave him a lot of business. Last night 5 of us visited the cafe and were asked to order 3 hookahs. One of us doesn't smoke so we asked whether 2 hookahs and 2 chais would suffice the table criterion he had set. Instead of complying to our requests he implied that our party was cheap. So we had no other option but to leave the premises. Don't fall for the sweet talk BS the guy here gives you. The owner used to have a policy of minimum one hookah per 4 people. Now he has changed that to minimum one hookah per 2 people. You're a party of three? You HAVE to purchase two hookahs. This is a SERIOUS hookah bar. They offer killer espresso and snacks. As a heads up: there's a minimum hookah-per-table on busy nights of 1 per every 3 people, so if you bring in 4 people and want a table, you're going to be sharing 2 hookahs. Hands down most authentic Bohemian hookah place , little small place with a very catchy theme , their hand made hookahs are few of the best ones around , its a bring your food place . I came to visit Cincinnati and neighboring cities with my family, who live in Michigan, and while in the hotel, we found out this hookah cafe. We called ahead and said there was no wait but when we walked in and it was packed. While waiting, the owner Mr. Baghdady began introducing himself and making our wait more enjoyable. He was also open with us smelling the different flavors and giving us advice for which bowls to order (we did 2 Irish peach lemon mint and one of the"Obama" with mint, both very good bowls!!!). This place is a college student paradise. First, compared to the other two local hookah cafes, Bohemian stands out as superior in every way. The atmosphere is laid back, relaxed, and perfect for studying or getting creative. The tea here is absolutely the best I've had in the city, and I make a habit of cafe hopping to try different teas. The mint is the most basic, but a wonderfully sweet and tasty tea. There are four types of chai; regular, ginger, cardamom, and dirty, the last of which features a shot of espresso. (If I could drink one thing for the rest of my life, it'd be Bohemian's dirty chai.) They also offer up a variety of the tastiest snacks, from baklava to cheesecake, though it's often random which is available at what time. The seats are arranged so no matter how large your group is, there's probably somewhere you can fit. The employees, owner included, are some of the nicest people I've met working anywhere, let alone hookah cafes. They don't hesitate to chat with you about whatever to make you feel at home. The owner, the mysterious man called Blackie, is one of the friendliest people I've met to date. He does not hesitate to greet new faces, making his small business feel like home away from home. He's quite an expert, offering up insight into hookah for first timers, as well as surprisingly tasty combinations that even veteran hookah smokers might not think up. One such concoction is a secret known only to him, called Obama, that you can't smoke anywhere else. The prices are on par with the other hookah places, but considering the numerous benefits Bohemian supplies it's easily a better choice to go here. If you're ever in the area and have some time to kill, even if you don't smoke you should check this place out. You're bound to find something you like. read more

A few friends and I are in Cincinnati for the weekend, and since we regularly hookah back home, decided to visit a new hookah lounge. As soon as we went to order, we were asked for our IDs. It wouldn't have been a problem, but the guy behind the counter got nasty and argued that my ID wasn't mine. I look exactly like my photo other than I now wear glasses. After that, we mentioned that we were waiting on 2 more people, making our party a total of 5. Nothing was said about the policy of 4 people to a hookah until after we ordered, paid, and the hookah was brought to our table,now with all 5 people at it. When we were told we would have to order a second hookah, a list of flavors was brought to us. We found, barely visible, at the bottom of the list a sentence stating 4 people per hookah. We also saw underneath that, that there is a policy of only 3 coals per hookah. This seems unreasonable for the price of the hookah. The only positive things I can say about this place is they have great mint tea and that I was with great people to make up for the terrible service and experience. I definitely will be finding another hookah lounge to visit the next time I am in Cincinnati. read more

My wife and I had the most insulting experience at this "cafe". We got ourselves some coffee and ginger chai and were told in the most arrogant, sarcastic, and insulting manner by the barista that there is just one table for "people like us" to sit. Apparently, you can sit on a couch only if you order hookah. It doesn't matter if a bunch of freeloaders are sitting, some even enjoying outside food, because one of them ordered a hookah. This place have no clue how to make hookah, the guy how runs this place is nasty, he treat people like sh*t as if he giving them donations, the number of cole is limited by two rounds which doesn't make any sense if you paying this kind of money for the hookah. Moreover, I came here twice with friends the hookahs wasn't clean and had mixed flavors from old ones, we ask for exchange but the guy refused at first claiming it's fine, when we insisted he finally changed it but with nasty attitude and 30 mins punishment wait ruined our night. This place is awesome... I am an avid hookah smoker! And their hookah is very well done - does not burn quickly and very affordable. The owner is freakn awesome... He ran upstairs to get me an ice pack for my back to alleviate my pain while seated (pulled my back playing sports). I highly recommend this place...
