Boho caught my eye the night before, so I made a point to return before leaving Napa. Big mistake. I spent 17 minutes in the store--clearly browsing, clearly interested--and was completely ignored by all three employees. No greeting, no offer of help, not even a glance. I was one of only two customers. The staff couldn't have been less interested if they tried. The clothes may be beautiful, but the vibe? Cold, unwelcoming, and frankly rude. She new just what would work for my body type--busty and curvy, and brought me all the right things. I left with two dresses, cowboy boots, jewelry, and a little top. As a curvy girl, I usually get overlooked in boutiques like this because people assume I can't shop there. They really made me feel special and appreciated that we all deserve something cute to wear! On day one, we hit a few of my go-to spots--Anthropologie, Free People, and Johnny Was--but unfortunately, none of us found anything that caught our eye. The next morning, while enjoying our coffee outside Starbucks, we noticed the boutique next door, Boho Lifestyle. To our surprise, it was opening at 9:00am. Once we finished our coffee, we wandered over to check it out. What a gem! The ambience was warm and inviting, and we were greeted by Jen, who was friendly and helpful, but not pushy. The store had an amazing selection--unique, stylish pieces that felt thoughtfully curated, and best of all, the prices were much more affordable than what I'm use to. I'm not exaggerating when I say there was truly something for everyone. The three of us range in age from 55 to 75, and our body types are just as varied--pear, rectangle, and hourglass. I wandered in here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, perused the store, and was helped by a lovely associate. I walk up to the register to make a purchase and -- wait, what?! Not one but TWO people are wearing those garbage bullsh*t do-nothing hard plastic masks with gaps on all sides?! (Attaching a stock photo of a similar mask here.) California has an indoor mask mandate and these women likely deal with / talk to close to 100 people a day. We're in a pandemic, people. My mask protects you, your mask... well, it should protect me. A friend of mine was checking out their boot collection and an employee recommended her purchase a different one then what she had in hand. As a trusting customer she tried the boots on and decided to give them a try. The price was not on the boots and once the employee rang her up she did not disclose the price to my friend. The boots ended up being several hundred dollars and once we realized we were home and shocked. We called the store to ask for a refund due to not being told the price and the manager stated that they could only do store credit. As a local who supports small businesses I will not be returning as I feel there was a lack of transparency and sketchy customer service. Do not recommend. Since I cannot reply directly to the managers comment, I will edit my review. As I was also in the store and standing by the register during the purchase I know for a fact that the total was never told to her before swiping her card. There was no baby distraction. You did a great job selling the product I'll give you that, however, the non disclosure of return policy and price of purchase is still inappropriate and in my opinion very misleading and dishonest. read more

How does a business go from 1 star to 5 star? It's the fact that they care about their customers and make a real concerted effort to understand and remedy the situation. Indra, the owner reached out to me and explained staff will be aware of the proper procedure when an item isn't tagged correctly. I truly appreciate that. This is a cute boutique in downtown Napa. The clothing here is so beautiful and high quality. I don't mind paying for quality but I do mind if the price is changed at the register as I'm paying. I'm so happy that Indra reached out. I would rather shop at goodwill before thinking about stepping foot in this store . I wish I could give them ZERO stars! A friend of mine purchased a shirt from Boho a few weeks ago (size medium) my usual size, as a gift to me. Come to find out the pieces run small so upon trying it on it was way too tight. We went to exchange the shirt yesterday and/or even return it. I live in Sacramento so yes I drove all the way back just to return a $53 dollar shirt (rip-off)...Shein literally has the same shirt for $8. After the "manager" reviewed the shirt she says "oh there are sparkles on it"...... (two sparkles) in response I said okay when I tried it on I had shimmer on my body?? Like okay.... Anyways she says okay the exchange policy is two weeks it's now three weeks but you can go ahead and find something else to exchange... so I proceed to look around; TWO MINUTES LATER she approaches me and says "I'm so sorry but I smelled the shirt and it smells like it's been worn." Like excuse me?!?!?!?? I LITERALLY SAID IT DIDNT FIT!!!! Not only that it sat in my closet so yes it smells like me?! Tf. Don't tell a customer yes you can exchange something then turn around and smell the shirt then say oh no sorry, like you literally just called me a liar? So condescending. Just rude, like all that over a shirt?! Lol.. I WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. -10000/10. A joke for a boutique. Way better options in DT Napa. Out shopping for the first time since I had my baby. One staff member was very friendly and helpful when asked questions. I was shopping for a pair of ankle boots and looked at multiple pairs that were between $115-120, which I thought was fair and in my budget for the outfit I was imagining. The woman helping me said that a different boot would be more comfortable and it was. I ended up picking that one, and upon purchasing didn't notice her not telling me the total as we were chatting (employee and I). The store does not do physical receipts as they email them to you. When I arrived home, I noticed that the boot was not in the range and would not have purchased them if I had known they were out of my budget. No shame here saying I should have asked, but I also feel like they should have told me the total and maybe even mention "hey these are more, but this is why they're better". As former retail/sales employeee, I understand up selling but Bait and Switch is different. I asked the store if they could do a return due to the circumstances in which they replied no, only store credit. They did ask if I was upset that I didn't get a receipt or the price. I said I'm not upset at the price, I'm upset that I was not told the price when even purchasing, not disclosure of a total. And that it was over my budget, which the other boots were in. In any other situation I might have splurged on the boots, but I can't help but feel like the staff member pulled a Switch on me to get the higher sale. And now realizing the stores policy that semi protects the practice with a no refund policy except store credit. read more

Do you like the style of Free People? Do you hate paying the price for Free People? Then come here - besides, it's a local business. A lot of the styles are similar to Free People with relaxed fits, bell sleeves, flowy dresses/tops, and some Aztec-like embroidery. Seriously, this store has some really cute clothing for "pretty reasonable" prices - dresses and tops will still be around $30 - $50 each, but the style and quality seems to be worth it. They even have a sales rack where prices are lowered. I love that some of the clothes are made in the U.S. and the clothing doesn't feel cheap at all! Not sure what's up with Napa, but for a lot of the clothes I wanted to buy, they were out of smalls. Even the sales rack was mostly medium and larges - perfect for those shoppers! I was excited to find out there was an online store such that I might be able to buy a dress I liked in my size... only to realize later on that their online store lacks the same selection as the actual store. There are a lot of items missing. T_T Makes sense, since they're a small store and can't possible spend all the time updating their online inventory with that's available. If you're looking for a local boutique to shop for clothing, I recommend coming here to check it out. I definitely will be when I'm back in Downtown Napa. read more

Super cute shop with nice on trend styles. Pricing is very fair compared to other boutique shops. I spent quite a bit of time wandering around the shop and trying things on. I did manage to find one dress that fit well and it went home with me. The staff is friendly and I spent several minutes chatting with one of the employees about travel. BUT now that Boho has fabulous new employees such as Annie and Devin I'll be sure to come back more often. They are polite, courteous and very helpful when it came to fashion choices.
