His next tour at 1:30pm was huge so we were lucky to have a more intimate gathering! Now I need to figure out a reason to have a party there and rent the space. So cool.

It was designed by NY architects & opened in 1925. However it was closed when we arrived Monday at 10:30 we came back in the afternoon and walked inside. We took the elevator up to the bell tower for city views. The Great Hall is a 3,542-sq ft multi-story atrium that once was the stations waiting room. Ten original benches line the walls of the Great Hall holding 300 standing & 165 seated people.. hours are limited because this venue is rented out The original 1925 Barkalow Brothers Newsstand is featured on the west wall. The newsstand has been slightly restored but remains in its' original form. This area is great for a buffet or display. The Great Halls' ceiling is lined with Spanish trusses, each imprinted with antique locomotives. The famous Platt Gardens are here.

I had no idea what JUMP was all about, but I had to find out after seeing all these great pictures. Luckily our walk on day one took us right past the place and my curiosity was peaked, so we stopped to explore. The campus is massive, housing a restaurant, office buildings, an amphitheatre, creative outdoor seating venes, a huge climbing structure and of course, the slides! We showed up when things were closed, but the climbing structure is always open for play time and my kids were too happy to oblige. We noticed signs for the free summer concert series which happened to start that Friday, so we made plans to return, and what a scene that was! The whole community was out, hanging all over the place, and vibing with the great band. Inside there was a small cafe and bar serving up tasty shareable bites, and the line was constant. I jumped in to grab some wine and a canned cocktail, both local and at reasonable prices! Within JUMP there's a lot to offer. If I lived here, this would be my jam for meetings and team building, or just some creative fun. It felt like the place had endless potential! Oh yeah! The slides! YOU WANT TO GO ON THIS SLIDE! It's crazy to think you're sliding from the top of a parking garage, but damn is it fun! The slide is fully enclosed and the tunnel is lit up. You really have no idea where you are and it's hard to believe how fast you descend. I did it once and wanted to race back up. There is a height minimum so make sure to check that out before you head up. The slides are open during the concerts and on their own schedule so just check it out!

First of all, the venue is spacious and works perfectly for a large event. The venue provided breakfast, lunch, and appetizers, and drinks everyday of the conference and the food was amazing. It was the best food I've ever had at conference. They had homemade potato chips and bread. Wonderful desserts and pastries. The first day we had salmon bowls with rice and veggies they were delicious! Everything is top notch and I hope they decide to hold next year's conference here.

We visited the Ada County Driver License Services office to get our driver licenses and ID cards…read moreafter relocating from California -- and we were genuinely impressed. The staff was extremely friendly, respectful, and helpful throughout the entire process. Everything was well-organized and moved faster than we expected. Important note for those moving from out of state (especially California): This office only helps with driver licenses and ID cards. They do not process vehicle registrations. For that, you'll need to go to: Ada County DMV Meridian Branch, 1769 N Lakes Pl #100, Meridian, ID 83646 Also, if you're moving from California (and possibly other states), be aware that you must take a written knowledge test on the computer, even if you've been driving for decades with a clean record. No behind-the-wheel test is required, but the written test is mandatory. So be prepared and study beforehand! Overall, this office made what could have been a stressful task feel simple and welcoming. A big thanks to the team for making our transition to Idaho so smooth.

Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood near the Orchard/Fairview intersection, Xanadu Community Center…read morewas created by the Idaho Burners Alliance, Inc., a nonprofit corporation that is "a creative alliance, focused on bringing art, science and technology education to Idaho." Xanadu aka "Xu" is a large building on the property that makes up the workspace. Gardens of Xanadu is a large greenhouse on the property that is open to the public during the same business hours as Constellation Coffee, a coffee trailer on the property that is part of Xanadu. President of the Idaho Burners Alliance, Kaden Sinclair bought the property, which functioned as a church from the 1930s until the 1950s, so he could use it to build the art car "Joule" for Burning Man 2015, and it grew from there. One of Kaden's goals is to obtain the funding to build something similar to Meow Wolf, in Boise. Meow Wolf is an arts and entertainment company that creates large scale, interactive art installations. Highly Recommended!!!

Library! iykyk This large multistory library in the city of…read more Boise is a great one for a downtown location in a city. It is well staffed, pretty clean, especially the bathrooms, and offers a great deal to the community. Their kids section, new books, & DVDs were especially good. The DVDs are vast & perfect if you aren't streaming at home. There are even DVD courses to learn new things from art to algebra for homeschoolers or those who are deep diving a subject. Lots of extras here. [The only downside is the homeless and their pets taking over the outside front, talking loudly, and using the bathrooms inside. I almost don't mention it to avoid anyone being turned off but it is reality everywhere now.] So many floors to explore. ( see my photo the map of the library and what is where. ) There were places to sit and read comfortably. A place to refill your water bottle or get a drink is a plus while visiting here. Additionally, in this space there seems to be room to grow. The employees were friendly. Check it out

I mean, I typically say the word "library"in such a way that begs an exclamation point. Ie: I love the library! My favorite place? The library! Books! Books! Books! Liiiiibraaarrrry!! (I did mention that I'm a big ol' book geek?) As much as I love to wander through the shelves of books, I'm a busy person (so many books, so little time). So, here's how to do the Boise Public Library(!) busy girl style: Get yourself a library card (of course) Sign onto their website (www.boisepubliclibrary.org) Plug in the title of desired book from your "books to read" list. If you don't have a "books to read" list, search online for a book that you might like. You can search on the library's catalog online or wander around Amazon. Click "place hold." They don't need to have it at the branch that's most convenient for you--as long as they have it somewhere, you can choose to pick it up at the branch of your convenience. Receive email (usually, if its immediately available within a day or so) that book is ready. Go to library, go directly to hold section (right in front of check-out), grab book, check-out (I'm usually in, out, book in hand in less than 2 minutes). Voila! Your next literary adventure is waiting in your hot little hands... Get to it!

Registration, change of ownership, renewals, order plates and no licensing at this location. Very good experience.
