Not only do you get high quality customer service, an awesome board, great price, but you also help a small family company. There's a nice sandy beach where you can set up your things. If you need it there are shaded and unshaded picnic tables on the pavement and bike racks to lock up your bikes nearby. Lots of ducks and geese so watch for poop bombs but not that bad. Overall a clean park. We noticed scuba divers, fishermen, magnet fishers, kayakers, and lots of paddle boards. The water is pretty clear and clean and is on the cooler side. There are rentals available if you want to pick up a paddle board or bring your own. On the hot summer weekends, get there before 11am because there is little to no parking after noon.

What sets them apart is their after sales support. Months after our original purchases, we came back today needing some help on how to secure the kayak to the roof of our car. We claimed them as "our shop" after the great service we received and upgraded gear suited to our riding styles and needs. Mike is very generous is giving each customer the attention they need. This is a small hometown shop and customers need to excessive patience and friendliness to get their turn in receiving this service! From my first phone call to check on binding mounting and boot fitting I was impressed with their flexibility and desire to make these happen as soon as possible. After coming in for these services we were treated like family, and spent some time in the lounge getting custom fit in ski and snowboard boots, along with the best prices in town. Tyler kept everyone organized and brought the Patty's! How in the hell Timmy kept up with this group at almost 80 is beyond comprehension. We enjoyed perfect weather mid June for a 6 day trip, our crew had 3 kids who absolutely thrived on all of the water activities. They can't wait to get back on the river with this group of guides. We've done many rafting trips over the years but this was the first time we've gotten suited up in a farmer john suit, water booties, and long sleeve waterproof shirt to combat the cold water. We have been in snow melt runs before so this was interesting but oh so great to be comfortable on the river. I was never cold and interestingly never too warm despite the layers. Sean follows the raft in a white water kayak to be a safety back up just in case and also snap some cool pics - also a first on a rafting trip and I thought it was awesome. Stephen did a great job navigating our raft and the collective group of us were all skilled enough to ensure we didn't tip over or fall out of the raft (except one person). We just loved it! We did the canyon stretch for 5 class 4 rapids in like 45 minutes. The trip felt like it went fast but it was so fun! Lunch was delicious, allergy sensitive which is always appreciated. It was nice to see this part of Idaho since we usually stay further south west due to where family lives when we visit. It was a treat to be on the rafting trip and catch some hot springs nearby and on the rafting trip. This river stretch includes Pine Flat hot springs but Kirkham is within a couple miles and part of a different run they offer as well. 100% recommend if you are looking for an awesome adventure with great people!

Ginger had to go out of her way to drive down river, beat us there, get into position, and take the pictures. Obviously that's a lot of effort, but the pictures came out great. Hunter, our guide, was just the coolest friendliest guy and made us all feel very welcome. Basically the vibes were just good and friendly and jokes were flying the whole time. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that's physically able to do it.

Phenomenal experience with Bear Valley while visiting family in Boise! Check in was smooth and…read morepainless. A quick 10-15 minute bus ride took us up to the drop for "Staircase." There were 6 boats on our tour - our guide Cole was awesome! Super friendly and knowledgeable dude who's been all over the world rafting and kayaking. The ride started chill, the heat was blazing, and the water cool! The rapids were really fun. We even stopped for a mid ride cliff jump! That was unexpected and completely awesome. Even when I thought we were done with the rapids, there was another! Highly recommend.
