I'll admit it. So I was not excited to have this procedure done. For the most part they did a good job. I wished I could have had something for the pain (as I said, I'm a wimp) but nothing. It took 2 visits to clear everything up as well. He talked about putting a crown on it, but never gave me specifics... Said we'd talk about it when I came in to get more work done. Um excuse me? I'm not planning on getting anymore work done! I have a calcium deficiency that acts up sometimes and makes my teeth weak in spots, but that passes and clears up. But he wanted to do "preventative" work on my teeth. No thank you. You can drill when there's a reason to drill. Thats my biggest problem. Is it so hard to find a dentist that doesn't want to just drill into your teeth?!

Dr. Steinmetz (and Sheri, who has been the Practice Manager for 28 years) are incredible and they're literally 2 minutes from my home and place of business. I was driving 40 minutes each way (what was I thinking) until Dr. Steinmetz popped into my business one day. Our entire family has switched over to using him. They treat adolescents and adults. They also do braces/invisalign. My significant other is undergoing ortho treatment and is seen every two weeks. I personally do not have dental insurance and know there are others out there in the same boat. They have a plan for $249, that includes 2 exams, 2 cleanings and all xrays. Just wanted to share my experience in case anyone is looking to make a change or establish care. They're very professional, efficient, affordable and conveniently located.

My first concern was my very first appointment. I specifically called to schedule a cleaning and exam and was told that would not be a problem. I was under the impression I would be receiving both that day and was disappointed when I only received an exam. I was later told that my cleaning would be done after all of my dental work had been completed. My appointment was scheduled close to lunchtime, so perhaps the hygienist was simply running behind. I really do not know. If that was the case, a simple explanation and an offer to reschedule my cleaning would have been more than enough. In my experience, most dental offices clean the patient first and then complete any necessary treatment unless the patient is in pain, requires immediate care, or declines a cleaning. Although I was disappointed, I was still willing to move forward with the recommended treatment. During my exam, I was told I needed several fillings and a root canal with a crown on my lower back molar. I was willing to move forward with that treatment. I was also told that a small chip on my front tooth was not worth fixing, despite it being a cosmetic concern of mine. Two weeks later, I returned for what would have been my very first root canal. I was visibly experiencing a great deal of dental anxiety and never even took my coat off. Looking back, I did not communicate that anxiety very well, and I am sure some of it came across as confusion and hesitation. I was asking questions when I was met with impatience and asked, "Are we going to do this today or not?" She stepped out briefly and returned less than a minute later to tell me that I was dismissed and free to leave. I was shocked and completely caught off guard. I did not argue, yell, curse, or become aggressive. I simply removed the patient bib and walked out. I have never been dismissed from any office in my life. After being dismissed, I walked back into the office because I genuinely wanted to understand what had gone wrong. I politely asked for an explanation and was simply told that I was free to find another provider. What continues to surprise me is that I never spoke to the dentist that day. He never came into the room. Had he simply taken a few moments to speak with me directly, it may have changed the entire outcome. Instead, I received a dismissal letter in the mail three days later that had been mailed the very same day. Ironically, what felt so upsetting at the time ultimately worked out in my favor. Since then, I sought a second opinion. I have had my cleaning completed, all of my dental work done, my front tooth repaired, and I did not need the root canal I was originally told I needed. The second office also diagnosed two additional cavities that were missed. Six weeks later, I am doing very well. In hindsight, being dismissed was one of the greatest blessings in disguise. Everything ultimately worked out for my good, and for that I am grateful. Sometimes asking lots of questions is not defiance. Sometimes it is simply fear. Patients deserve compassion in those moments. Ironically, this office did me a favor by dismissing me, so I suppose the only thing left to say is thank you.

They tried to do x-rays with my youngest son, and he was having problems, and rather than making it a traumatic experience for him, they said, "No worries - we'll try next time!" They are upfront about things, like orthodontic concerns, but I don't feel any pressure from them, and they're focused on keeping my kids mouths healthy and clean, which is what I'm paying for. The waiting room is entertaining, but they're always on-time, which is even better! We drive 45 minutes to get here, but I wouldn't change for convenience. These people have earned my trust!

Whether you're coming in for a routine cleaning with a hygienist, or you actually have to get something fixed in your mouth (and I've had my fair share of both), you can count on this office to do it right. Everyone here is so nice and they're very good at taking you back for the actual time your appointment is. I especially love the way they clean your teeth now. They use this thing called an air polisher with glycine powder, and it's top of the line! I really wish I could give this place a negative star !! I had a broken wisdom tooth extracted…read more4/21/25 from twin dental! It resulted in Bell's palsy- not a single care from the dentist and after he told me "ummm I need to go research this" I knew I was in trouble. Almost a full year and I'm not 100% healed. After he gave me a bs prescription- no more follow ups to see how I'm doing, no further instructions on what to do. Only called to collect money. So I've racked up bills from my PCP, a new dentist and even an ENT just to prove it wasn't caused by my ears. I've racked up THOUSANDS in dentist/medical bills due to their lack of care. DO NOT EVER GO TO TWIN DENTAL!!! Im still being harassed for a $60 payment when they have already collected $400 from me and $500 from my insurance TO PULL ONE TOOTH!! They didnt even give me pain meds, not even a low dose one until i was in so much pain. And instead of calling it to the pharmacy- they told me i had 20 minutes to get it from their office aa they close early on friidays. Never in my life have i ever paid that much for an extraction. Or had a dentist who was etremely nonchalant about what HE had done!!(Even when i didnt have a job/insurance I only paid $160 and the emergency dentist on a friday at 7pm pulled it.) i will however, send them all my bills for the year of follow up ive had to deal with for their mistake. I have included a picture from the day before the procedure - the day of, the day after, a pic when i was being weened off the medication after 6 month of high dose steroids (due to the dentist prescribing a an extreme low dose that did nothing) and two additional pictures from this year 4 months post steroids two more teeth were also shattered due to the steroids and so I was deathly scared of getting those pulled, until this morning. I had no idea that a dentist office could be caring and comforting. But shoutout to Meier dental and Cincinnati oral surgeons for extracting 3 teeth (the two shattered and my last wisdom) under anesthesia, prescribed me a pill before I went in, had antibiotics on order, Tylenol 3 on order for pain. Sent me home with an ice pack and enough gauze to last a life time. My total out of pocket $600. Insane difference. These people took my life from me for almost a year. Due to being on steroids gained ao much water weight I had Charlie horses when I walked!, I also had high blood pressure, pre diabetic along with absolutely no energy and not being able to breathe all due to the side effects of the steroids I had to take to fix what THEY did. SO BEWARE OF TWIN DENTAL. Or at least if you find anything suspicious or wrong speak to a malpractice attorney IMMEDIATELY
