Awful, Awful, Awful Dentist Office! these people have NO IDEA what they are doing…read more 1) They shined a light in my mouth screening for oral cancer -- it took 2 minutes. At the end they tried to charge me $50 out of pocket!!! THEY NEVER ASKED MY PERMISSION TO DO THE SCREENING. So, I refused to pay it. 2) I had a crown ordered and I showed up for my appointment to have it put in. THERE WAS NO APPOINTMENT on the books for me EVER. They had to fit me in since I drove there but I had to wait for an hour to be seen. 3) I showed up for another appointment and they had me scheduled for the same day the NEXT week. I put it into my cell phone when the appointment was made...so either they told me the wrong date or they put it in their computer wrong. 4) THIS IS THE BIG ONE. They will DO THINGS that will void YOUR INSURANCE! Insurance has guidelines that has to be followed in order to be accepted. Smiles for Life is so INCOMPETENT that they will schedule things and do things in such a way that your insurance will DENY the procedure and you will be stuck with the WHOLE COSTS OUT OF YOUR POCKET. I also appreciated the different ways to pay. The other big thing is that I really appreciate he has early morning hours so the kids don't have to miss a ton of school. The office is always super friendly and willing to help with anything they can. They take time out to learn your name and little details about you ( which even months later they will recall). Mcabe himself is one of the most funniest and considerate doctors. For example, on Wednesday I got a tooth pulled at my dentist. I went to mcabe yesterday and mcabe asked me how it went. When I told him that even with the numbing, laughing gas, and I took Tylenol before; I still could feel everything since I have fibromyalgia extremely bad along with a head injury. When I told Mcabe he listened to me all out and apologized for the discomfort. He then got my braces back on but told the assistant to put gentle wires in for me.
