All I wanted was my teeth cleaned, but they refused to do it unless I agreed to a pano xray. I have no issues with my teeth, no history of issues, not so much as a cavity in 15 years. All I wanted was my regular 6 month teeth cleaning. But, evidently new policy says..... no xray, no service. I won't be pushed around be a greety dentist that insists on maximizing billing to my inurance. Get xray's if you want them. If you don't, it should be your choice and your risk. I reseached this situation, and evidently it is legal for dentist to refuse basic exam and cleaning if you won't agree to xrays. Legal and ethical are two differnt things. Can you imaged a doctor refusing to give you a basic exam because you refused a test he recommeded? Besides this, the office staff is terrible, so I recommend you go elsewhere! These guys are after maximum profit from you and your insurance.

Westfield Gentle Dentist makes that experience much better. The hygienists, receptionists and Dr. Caron are all very friendly and informative of what they're doing and what they need you to do. Also, shout out to the all-female staff. Get it, ladies. Booking with WGD is easy and they can usually get you in pretty fast. Not something I can say for other medical professionals. In fact, I've gotten a few calls in the past from a receptionist calling to see if I want to book my next cleaning because it's been a while (as a full-time student, I often didn't book my next one because I had no clue what my schedule was going to look like six months out). They would call to say it's time and that they were holding a spot for me if I wanted it. I thought that was fantastic customer service. There was also a time something went funky with the insurance and I had to call my mom to come over (young adult still on parents' insurance- sue me), and they were very understanding in my being flustered and confused. Everything was cleared up right away and we walked out happy.
