Nice to see a small family operation turning out such wonderful cuisine. The sauces showed years of knowledge and hours of preparation. I am not any sort of expert on indian food, but much of what I've had depends on heat for flavor. This had so much flavor with just the right amount of spice to get you reaching for tissues for your runny nose as you grab for another helping of food. As usual, you can get an added level of pain if you want which was right up my alley. The ambiance is very nice--new, clean, charming, and thoughtfully decorated. It's clear that the owner has invested significant time and money into building the place. When we informed the front desk staff, there was no response or effort to address the concern--no offer to replace the dish, remake it, or provide any alternative. The reaction felt more like "eat it or leave." After paying $15, we left still hungry and had to drive to another restaurant to eat. Even at the time of payment, when we mentioned we were going elsewhere for food, the front desk staff simply smiled and showed no empathy or concern. While the restaurant looks great, food quality and customer service are critical. Unfortunately, both were lacking during our visit. I hope the owner focuses more on consistency in food quality and customer experience, as the potential is clearly there. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this place at this time, as it was not worth the drive or the time.
