Last weekend my wife and I ate breakfast here. I love a good breakfast burrito, and buc'ees in the past impressed me believe it or not. This place is the real deal, better than a gas station. I eat breakfast here almost every Saturday and Sunday. I love the 2 eggs scrambled with chorizo and flower tortillas. It comes with rice and beans, but I substitute the rice for more beans. The staff are all amazing!! They are all very friendly and help me learn more Spanish. The restaurant is quiet, they have tv's with no sound on but with subtitles. My first experience yesterday, June 22, 2026. Everything was absolutely amazing. The flavor was phenomenal, the portion size was perfect. They even threw some crema (sour cream) when I asked nicely. And the salsa... really authentic and homemade tasting. The hot sauce that they make in house to go with the elote, was sooooo good. The elote itself was amazing and very well layered. Every other time I've gotten this item anywhere else, they don't layer it at all. Normally, it's all condiments on top and just corn underneath. Food:I have to remember that all recipes will vary by regions of the country and so the chorizo and eggs I had was just ok. The chorizo was overcooked and there was too much egg. The beans were ok and their corn tortillas are made there and they were delicious. Service: The service was excellent and she made suggestions knowing I was new to the location. Ambiance: Clean and organized, nothing that would say otherwise. Yeyyy finally a Mexican restaurant in North Texas that isn't Tex-Mex! This Cali girl seriously misses all the authentic Mexican food options from back home--but I still love Texas, don't get me wrong. I tried their tacos and tortas, and both were super flavorful and hit the spot. The only downside was the asada--it had a few unchewable fatty pieces, which I didn't love. But overall, this place is a win and will definitely satisfy my cravings for real Mexican food! read more

There are thousands of Mexican restaurants in the Dallas area. Most provide tasty meals at a reasonable price. Then there is Tia's. Our favorite Melissa mexican restaurant in Melissa is closed on Sunday. Decided to try something different. Lots of cars in front of Tia's. Should be good. First impression: Greasy taco stand. This is a bare room where you order at the counter. Menu didn't have usual mexican entrees. Pricey. I ordered 2 ground beef tacos. My wife ordered menudo. They brought out my tacos after 15 minutes. Small. Mixture of something that looked like Alpo. Soft tortillas. Worst I have ever had. It took another 20 minutes for my wife to get her menudo. She liked it. I am glad. The bowl of soup and the addedhominy was 2 cents shy of $15. Dishes were plastic. Water tasted like it came from a swamp. We won't be back. Any other Mexican restaurant in the area is better than this. read more

First time trying this spot. It was pretty busy on a Friday afternoon. The birria tacos were chewy but good. The consommé was not that flavorful. The quesadilla was ok. It was just meat inside. It really needs some lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, or something else to help with the dryness. Beans and rice were ok. Place worth trying. read more

Food is greasy, the queso tastes like it's the Tostitos queso warmed up, chips are stale, and everything is seasoned poorly. I've eaten here a few times to see if it's improved or maybe it was just what I ordered that was bad, but after having cold queso, greasy quesadillas and quesa birria tacos, and unflavored Al pastor and steak tacos, I think it's just the place that's bad. Moved here from Southern California just over a year ago and have not been able to find any authentic tasting Mexican food. Food is okay. Kind of bland without sauces but, the sauces are the real hit and the reason you will be coming back for more. I actually find myself craving the red sauce that comes in the squeeze bottle with the meals. It's amazing! The atmosphere is not ideal. It definitely is a serve yourself kind of place with cafeteria like plates and plastic silverware. The bathrooms smelled so bad that I found myself dry retching and almost losing the food I just ate. I'm gona cry, the food here is so good and authentic. I came for breakfast with my husband. It's Friday and lent, so I got a torta with beans, egg and cheese. I noticed after we paid that they have nopales (cactus), I would have gotten that inside my torta. I'll get it next time. Husband got a breakfast burrito with beans, egg, cheese and potatoes.
