As a yoga teacher, I'm deeply interested in how facilitators hold space and affect the energy of a group. The DJ behind Bollywood Dreams Entertainment is a master at this. He leads with such authentic joy, and you can feel that he is fulfilling his purpose. When a host is so genuinely in their own joyful expression, it gives everyone else in the room permission to truly let loose and be in their own experience. His energy created a ripple effect, allowing everyone to sink into the music and let their own joy out. The atmosphere was incredibly fun and celebratory. You could feel how his positive energy calmed and uplifted the collective nervous system in the space, creating a safe and vibrant environment to dance. It was more than just a party; it was a profound experience of shared joy. I am so grateful for the work he is doing to bring the community together in this way. DJ Prashant was one of HIGHLIGHT of our Indian+Western wedding and we were so glad to have made the decision to work with him to curate our Sangeet. If you care about your guests having an immersive, engaging experience, welcomed (especially folks that have not attended Indian events), and making sure everyone is fully present, and bringing celebration to life, hiring Prashant and his team is money well spent. Since the wedding, we have had many guests bring up how amazing Prashant was (and continue to do so 3 months since the wedding), his energy, his ability to engaging with the guests, teach them Bollywood dance moved during the set, and curating an incredible playlist that kept the dancing going throughout the Sangeet. More than half of the guest that attended our Sangeet hadn't been to an Indian event and it really helped having Prashant MC the event, announce what was coming next and create a fun/energetic atmosphere for our guest. Prashant was very responsive (even during his travels) and flexible to schedule prep meetings for us to brainstorm the Sangeet, timeline and took great notes to capture our feedback. What I appreciated about Prashant was that he led these meeting by asking us the vibe and aesthetic my wife and I were looking for, shared some examples of Sangeet event he had DJ from his social media, and guided us through the timeline and structure for the event (selection of the entry song and guest formation, group dances, playlist for when folks are having dinner, options to have Prashant engage with guest to teach them Bollywood moves, etc.). This process was very collaborated and each meeting with Prashant got us really hyped for Sangeet. I also appreciate Prashant asking for us to share our favorite songs, and playlist (Bollywood, Punjabi, Salsa, and western music) to have a good baseline to start with. I'm only giving Prashant 5 stars because the site won't let me give him 10. He was amazing. A force of joy and competence and problem-solving and talent. Outside of committing to my true love, he was the best part of our wedding. He deejayed and emceed our reception, taught 100 guests how to dance like crazy, planned and led our Baraat, choreographed our first dance and taught us how to bhangra and waltz, and helped us through thick and thin. We found him through yelp, met him on zoom and after one meeting, knew we had found something magical. He brought excitement, ideas, and so much charisma. We were all still on lockdown and were having a hard time imagining what a post-covid wedding would look like, or feel like. But on the call, things became clear. Prashant would make things work out. Later, we decided to do a choreographed first dance and again Prashant stepped up and stepped in to make things work. He welcomed us into his own home, gave us chai, talked about our backstory, and formed a real connection. He met us at our level, teaching us the basics of Bollywood dancing. And then he stayed at it, helping us practice late into the night for several days before the wedding. Meanwhile, he worked with a friend and created a custom remix to go with our custom choreo. We were so stressed. Coming out of a year of lockdowns. Planning a Bengali-Western fusion wedding on our own, on a super-compressed timeline, during a period when restrictions were changing by the day, making it unclear until the very last minute whether there would be a wedding at all. Prashant helped the stress fade away, helped the joy arrive back in our planning. Our reception began at that first choreo practice at his home. Our shoulders relaxed. Our smiles reappeared. Lifting our knees to the beat and throwing our hands in the air felt like we were flying. Of course the wedding itself went smoothly. He got the crowd involved from the jump. Even our most stern/stiff friends and family found themselves cutting a rug without any self regard. I can't tell you how many people came up to us and told us how much they loved our DJ. This is not normal. DJs are not usually a highlight of a wedding night. None of my friends could remember attending a wedding of such energy and joy. Prashant was a force for good in a place none of us had expected or experienced before. Please do yourself a favor and work with this man. You deserve joyful memories. We contacted Bollywood Dreams Entertainment and after filling out request online we met their owner DJ Prashant at the venue. The online.request specifically requested for DJ Prashant. The online request did not indicate that he was booked. Nor did DJ Prashant told this when we scheduled for him to meet at the venue. After looking over the venue DJ Prashant said that he was booked that day in Seattle and that the alternate DJ was just as good. We requested him to see if the Seattle event could accept the DJ he was suggesting us. He promised that he would look into it and get back to us. Neither him nor anyone from the company ever contacted us back. We left him massages few times for update. NONE. Very unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend Bollywood Entertainment. We were very lucky to find DJ Anjali and The Kid. She was fabulous. read more

I have had the privilege of partying with Prashant and the Jai Ho dancers at World Domination Summit each of the past five years, but until last week had never met them personally. What a thrill it was for me to bring Prashant and his crew down from Portland to SF last week to celebrate my 50th birthday party along with 175 of my friends, family, colleagues and clients. Prashant, Jade and the Bollywood Dreams team partnered with me to make every aspect of my vision come to life, from letting me select the playlist to their amazing performances to my 9 yr old daughter and I dancing with them on-stage, to 20 of my fellow Zumba class dancers and my teacher performing several numbers on stage with everyone else cheering us on. Prashant is a fantastic combo of likable, cool and engaging. Even though my guest list spanned multiple generations, he made Bollywood dancing accessible and easy for all of them, from the 4 year olds to the 80 year olds! My mom, sisters, and I tried to book their Bollywood classes through a Groupon we received and it was incredibly difficult to actually book the classes. There was no clear place to sign up online and the name of the studio was unclear as well. I reached out to them on Facebook a couple times and finally someone responded that they weren't offering the classes until March, which is after our Groupons expired. I'm sure the classes would have been fun had we been able to attend but I honestly don't want to even bother trying to schedule these or even ask for a refund at this point. I've taken beginner bollywood/bhangra classes from Prashant, and also danced several times at his end-of-the-month dances at the Crystal Ballroom, on MIssissippi, and now at the regular gig at Holocene. I especially liked the dance the one time on Mississippi as the venue was comfortable and not too clubby. Holocene feels cold and loud. Prashant has a great personality, is very accessible, and really knows how to get the crowd involved and trying his choreography. He is just a natural entertainer, and an excellent teacher. I remember looking for Bollywood and Bhangra dancing in Portland in the mid-90's...only traditional dancing from Orissa was available. We were fortunate to be able to book Prashant for our Mehndi, even though he is based in Portland, Oregon. Thanks to Prashant, we and our guests had the time of our lives! Worthless going there, going to his shows, joining his classes etc. Quality of dance is too bad, song selection as a dj is horrible. In my lifetime, up until I met DJ Prashant I never met any DJ who I can say comes close to the experience of giving such an entertainment. He is exceptional. DJ Prashant came to Lancaster, UAV Ballroom for this year's Diwali celebration which was organised by Indian Association of Antelope Valley. With the diverse group that we have in our community we needed VARIETY......singing, dancing, interacting, all together. DJ Prashant interacted with audience with his great dance moves, we all loved his dance lessons and dancing along his bollywood tunes. He was noy only loved by youth of our community but even the senior adults were on the dance floor dancing to his tunes. For our Senior adults who love to listen to songs, especially oldies from Golden times, he did it again. He is such a good singer too. People enjoyed slow dancing to his songs. He made everyone dance, interacted with audience. Even held little babies while dancing so parents can enjoy. I am so so thankful to you DJ Prashant for giving us such a great evening.
