Good place to practice laps. I came here over the summer a few times to swim while training for a mini triathlon. It's a nice 50y (or m, not sure which) pool with a dedicated lap lane too. Not very crowded the times I went, so it was nice to not have to share the lanes. Lots of kids and families around overall though. I personally would not come for leisure/relaxation. $3 pool fee - hard to beat! read more

The revitalized playground that they did a few years ago is awesome, especially for kids 4 and up. I've been here a few times with older children and they love the zip line and all the climbing features. I've seen some adults love it too! Lol. There is a few things that a toddler would enjoy, such as the one of a kind swings that allow you to sit with your baby as you swing together, and a mini playground but overall I think this is geared for preschool aged and up. There is a big pavilion with plenty of picnic tables, bathrooms, a walking path and workout station towards the entrance. I only wish there was shade for the playground because I can imagine it getting pretty hot in the summer! read more

The outdoor gym caught my eye driving past one day and was the main reason why I wanted to visit this particular park, however it is quite disappointing since the resistance on the equipment is close to nonexistent. The park, in itself, as a whole is nice and clean as far as the actual grounds and pool is concerned (which is still closed, unfortunately, due to the pandemic), but I can't say that the outdoor gym is even worth utilizing since you won't truly get any noticeable results out of it. read more

Went over Fourth of July weekend with family. Lifeguards are on it! The pool is huge so plenty of room. At least 3 diving boards in use. Concession stand, eh, is what it is. Cheap to get in. Only drawback was not a lot of shade, actually hardly any. But we had a fun day! read more

This is a great park an we really enjoy it . I take my 5 year old grandson regularly. We also go to Bolton Pool all summer , every summer. It breaks my heart to see that someone has already broken the Zip Line at this park . As it is one of the most enjoyed peaces of equipment here. There is alot of young teens males that hang out here when they shouldn't be. Also while these Lil kidds r out here trying to play instead of the big ones throwing their footballs in this big open field they want to throw right here where we play.An their parents if they r here have no respect to tell them not to , I've even seen fathers play with them knowing it's dangerous. But other thank the TEENS this park is clean, very well kept, an I would tell everyone your kidd will love it . TEEN GO TO THE BALL FEILD THIS IS A PLAY GROUND FOR KIDS!!!!!!!! read more

There is a brand-new playground refresh that has revitalized this park. There is a walking path which is great for dogs. There is a sheltered workout area with built-in equipment. This park has covered picnic shelters with grills, tennis courts and even a pool in the back that opens in the summer. Great place to get some fresh air and meet your neighbors. read more

It was hard for me to assign a star level to Bolton Park. I find the playground pretty terrible but they do have swings and I would have given it two stars. The pool on the other hand I would give four stars. The pool is large in the have a nice Splash Pad area for kids under 6. We took our son for a baby swim class and really enjoyed it. The great thing about their swim classes is that they are free. Admission to the pool is very reasonable at $3 for adults. I wish the playground matched have great the pool was. read more

The pool is very big and very inexpensive. It's great to do with a family, especially young ones because the splash pad is awesome. I was disappointed that the children had to wear provided life jackets unless they could pass a swim test. The life jackets didn't seem great for movement, the kids said they were uncomfortable and we'd have preferred our puddle jumpers. I was also disappointed that their weren't lounge chairs. I like to relax in the sun by the pool which isn't an option here! Overall it's big, cheap, and good for families if you don't mind life jackets. read more

This is our first visit to Bolton Park/Pool. Me and my family have really been able to enjoy our time here. Very inexpensive, friendly staff and cool surroundings. Awesome diving boards for all ages! The kiddie pool area is a great setup for all the kids wanting to swim without being intimidated by older ones. read more

This is the best public pool in Winston. Fantastic diving boards (super bouncy), amazing high dive, lap area, fun kid's area, and not too crowded at all! And just $1 entry fee for the rest of 2015!? Freakin sweet! read more

My child loves this park because it is a giant sandbox!!! A sand filled playground is an absolute rarity and we love it!

There is something about great pools that make you come back. This pool has to be the best one I have swam in. 3 spring boards make traffic almost non existent. 4 tier Olympic tower is where I eventually entered manhood and was basically a proving grounds for my social group at the time. The fries were AWESOME. I can not get enough of the food here even through its served sometimes by ladies who look like they utterly hate you. Yellow Jackets are annoying as hell here and get wet and end up ass up on the ground, so watch your step...The kids pool is awesome! I wish they had that when I was learning to swim here... We just had that rinky dinky small pool with the statue of the dolphin or whatever it is....there is resentment at this pool as well because people do not know how to act sometimes. Sometimes they get thrown out or banned from the pool and come at night and heave entire cans of Oil over the fence into the pool closing it for over half a week at a time. I cant wait to go back. read more

During the day, the park is well kept and great place for swimming and hanging out with family and friends. I went tonight to view he meteor shower, but due to the number of trees, it was quite hard to see. I did end up seeing some once I was home again. I love the walking trails and also how clean they keep the pools during the warm weather! I have also enjoyed many picnics here with family and it has always been clean and simple, but always worth it. read more

They have a separate kid pool that is about 1 foot deep and huge with lots of water sprayers.

I didn't visit the water park today, just the grounds. I'll blame the rain the last few days for the park looking do dumpy, but the water collected under every swing, puddles on the slide and grass being so muddy made for an unpleasant trip out. There wasn't any shade to be found so that's a star taken, not having much of a "play" ground is another, so 3 stars for this park. It may change if I ever visit the water park, but we'll wait to find out read more

My niece got a UTI and I heard a few people getting pink eye swimming here. The first time I tried this pool out, the Customer service was horrid! They try to talk down on you like they're bigtime authority figures who forgot to be polite and respectful. I was wearing basketball shorts instead of swimming trunks, so I said I wouldn't swim but just watch my young nephews swim. The customer service guy then speaks to me like I'm a troubled teenager when in fact I'm I'm a grown 30yr old man, "if you jump into the pool with those shorts, all your group will have to leave". So I drive 20mins to Walmart to pick up swimming trunks for me and nephews(also weren't wearing regulated swimming trunks) and we went back. Get back, then there's a half hour delay because of low chlorine levels. That's not the last of this nightmare. After waiting, the customer service guys can't even break a 20 dollar bill, wow. I eventually kept my money and left with my nephews, the crowded pool isn't all of that. There's better cleaner swimming pools with friendlier and kinder staff than this low class dump. read more
