I just visited the pool for the first time. It's $6 per adult. It's pretty big with multiple sections for diving (deep end) a shallower end, a baby pool and separated gated splash pad area. You can't swim in the deep end due to divers which is a bummer. Only during the adult swim time. I understand it's for safety but the other section crowds fast due to this. I would come back on a weekday at opening to avoid super crowds. I came on a Monday for 3 hours and that was enough for me (due to crowding) Snack bar is cash only. read more

Every time I had gone, I had gone to the center part and never went to any other part. The event center is really nice. I've never been to the pool, but it looks like it is really fun compared to other pools I've seen. I finally went behind the center to the pond and lake, and they were so amazing. I went fishing out there, and in the pond, there was actually a lot to catch. We threw it back, but it was still fun for my first official time! It's actually relaxing out there. I do wish they would take better care of the pond though because there's a lot of algae out there. read more

My experiences with Bur-Mil over the years have been mainly to use the golf practice facilities, but I always see a lot of people enjoying the aquatic center and pool, lake, walking the trails, or using the event center. This is truly a full service park! That said, my review will focus mainly on the golf portions, with the park overall being a solid 5, and a must use for anyone in the Greensboro area. The driving range is just what you want and nothing more. A big open field to hit balls into, no frills, and also at a cheaper price than average. This is all I need, and all just about anyone would need at an amateur level. Distances are marked, and since it is pretty flat, you'll get a good idea for how far and straight you are hitting what. It's a popular place to practice, especially after typical work hours. The par 3 course... wellllll... it is less of a golf course, more of a hilly open area with some cutouts that would indicate a "green." There are 9 holes, the longest of which is about 130 yards, so no need to bring many clubs with you. The greens are about as rough as they get. There really isn't much of a putting surface. Too many weeds, and it's cut too long to get a realistic roll, I actually don't bother putting, because it isn't going to be good practice. There is also usually goose poop landmined around the course, the greens are no exception. The greens are also very small, none of which would be more than 25 feet in diameter, if that. The way I usually play, sticking the green from the tee is a birdie. Chipping up within about 5-8 feet is par. Anything outside of that, bogey. All this critique given, it was less than 10 bucks to play, really as much as you'd like. It does help you work on your short irons and wedges, and for that, I enjoy it and will return. Also, cheap beers in the clubhouse are just 2 bucks! read more

It's well maintained and has been a good place for me to practice. I have walked some of the trails, as well as attending parties at picnic shelters. Love coming here for walks with my dog. I always feel safe coming here! It is a clean park and always has people walking, biking, or doing some sort of activity. There are lots of parking spots and picnic tables available. There are two short trails to hike. About 1-2 hours long. Depending on how fast/slow you hike. If you have a pet please bring your own poop bags as there are none. Please be respectful and pick up after your pet! As well as water. There are no fountains. read more

I haven't gotten then chance to fully explore all that Bur-Mil Park has to offer, but my initial impression after one visit is that this is somewhat of a hidden gem park that meets multiple needs. I initially came here with my daughter for the playground. She and I both love taking walks in the woods, and she was quick to spot a beautiful little trail that wove through the forest and made for a gentle, beautiful walk. There is lots of open space, and were things like covered picnic structures, a sand volleyball court, tennis courts, and clean public restrooms available. Playgrounds Swimming Pool Golf Course (9 hole/Par 3 with lights) Driving Range Trails (hiking & biking) Fishing Tennis Courts Wildlife Education Center Picnic Shelters for rent The wildlife education center is neat, it's an old barn that's been converted, it's open on Saturdays & Sundays. They also have a "borrow a bike" program where you can check-out a bike along with a helmet for free at the wildlife ed center during it's hours of operation. They have 20 bikes that were donated by Dasani (the bottled water folks). There are rules for checking out bikes, you can find those on their website. read more

This place is awesome we take our family out on weekend hikes, walks , bike rides. It's a paved trail that's part of the greenway. It's dog friendly and human fun! The park also has shelters for rent for parties and a swimming pool! The park is extremely clean and easy to book for an outing. We had a party for 100+ and was comfortable and the best part is the shelters have tables and are covered! read more

Bur-Mill has a lot to offer. I enjoyed walking the green way which was paved. The nature center is neat and has a bathroom. We went to a cookout in one of the smaller shelters. The only problem was that there was not enough parking and we had to park far away. The playgrounds looked fun and we will check them out in the future. read more

Great, well maintained park! We went for a wedding event yesterday evening and it was my first time to the park in general. I loved it! Lots of different activities going on and much to choose from. The pool looked nice and was packed with patrons. We will definitely be back when we are in the area. This park is a wonderful place to come walk, ride bikes, picnic or relax. We came out on a Saturday and lots of families and groups were cooking out at the pavilions. We were here for riding and enjoyed putting some miles in on the trails. They have paved and single track here. The Greenway trail crosses the lake at one point and is quite scenic. read more

We go there a few times per summer. The lifeguards and staff are always extremely nice and helpful. The pool is always clean. However, there isn't enough shady area available, which is an issue if you have small kids who need shade. Also, there isn't an area where you can just tread water and relax in the deep end. Either you're using the diving board or you aren't allowed in the deep end. Also, it is a little pricey at $5 per person. read more
