Excuse my extreme tardiness with my review.... I found this place via Groupons and decided to check it out. Since then, I have been a DIE HARD FAN! Mark is just a friendly, professional, and amazing person-he is basically a unicorn- I even brought mom here last summer who was visiting from LA and she said he administered the best Botox injection she has ever gotten (and she has been getting them for a long time). His treatments are tailored to his clients whether you want a soft and natural look or something a bit more aggressive. Botox, fillers, B12 shots, body treatment, Mark does it all. He definitely keeps up with the latest trend and has the most up to date skin care and body care machines in his office. His Elkridge office is so clean and very spacious. There are separate treatment rooms for your needs. As many times as I have rescheduled, Mark has always been accommodating and understanding. The environment in Bolus Med Spa is very laid back and relaxing. From my visit, I would say the staff is professional, knowledgeable, polite and welcoming. I went in for an IV Drip and was made to feel completely at ease through out the entire process. The room I was in was furnished with modern and comfortable seating and was sparkling clean. I was able to have all of my questions answered and address any concerns with Mark BEFORE getting my IV. I started seeing Mark in May because I was in search of a new place for my forehead wrinkles. I've had Botox / Dysport from a plastic surgeon, a dermatologist and a doctor who moonlights with injections. I was unhappy with the results from all 3 (too much/frozen, too much, then too little and had to pay more to go back for additional, too much plus upselling). I found Bolus on Groupon and read good reviews, so I figured it would be worth a shot since Dysport lasts a few months. I've seen Mark in both Elkridge and Columbia. Mark is professional, knowledgeable and doesn't try to up sell a bunch of additional services that I don't want or feel I need yet. In addition, he has an awesome personality and is like a therapist / good friend you can chat with while you're getting your service. Plus, both locations are immaculately clean (I'm a germaphobe, so this is super important to me) as well as spa-like with comfortable, beautiful, tasteful furnishings / candles and has lots of little details that make you feel relaxed and at ease. Mark and Bolus are the best! I am not going anywhere else. I even asked him today about fillers for the future. Unlike the doctors I've seen, he didn't push me about booking an appointment ASAP, but showed me exactly what he would do and what it would do to my face. I said I'd think about it, and that was that. No high pressure sales or making me feel like I'd be ugly without it! He makes follow-up appointments and truly looks to fine-tune what you want and meticulously takes pics with notes and arrows of exactly what he did. I highly recommend Mark. I wish I had taken photos of the place, but alas, I failed to do so because I got all caught up in the moment. It was my first time here at Bolus Med Spa, and Mark exceeded my expectations. I came here for Dysport injections in my forehead and frown lines. The location is kinda odd (or at least I thought so). It's not in one of those big market plazas, but rather, it looks like a row of townhouses when you drive into the 'plaza'. Pass the Dunkin Donuts on your right and continue straight for about 100 feet and you'll see what look like a row of townhouses on your left and right. So odd to me. Anyway, I digress. I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by Mark who led me into a beautiful little room with a big white chair. As I got myself settled, Mark offered some tea. How thoughtful! Just within 5 minutes of being there, Mark had asked me several times if I was comfortable and if he could get me anything (i.e., tea, water). All around very accommodating! He really took the time to get to know me and answer all my questions. This is incredibly important as I have heard horror stories and seen botched injections on patients myself. As someone who works in a doctor's office myself, this is my worst nightmare. Mark is incredibly intelligent and knows his stuff! He doesn't upsell any of the products, but make recommendations based on your skin type or whatever other concerns you may have. I really respect him in that he treats this as a 'medical' procedure and not so much of 'let's-add-on-a-ton-of-other-stuff-to-make-you-pretty'. I do want to preface by saying that I'm still in my 20's so I'd actually be surprised and a bit taken aback if anyone tried offering more than I really needed. So I appreciate that he didn't give me the extra b.s. that other med spas usually pitch. Another thing that I found pleasantly surprising was his vast knowledge in the science behind the Dysport, Botox, and XeoMin injections. He helped me to understand how and why my body reacts differently to the injections and how I can maximize each session. Ah, unlike most people, I don't require as many units of Dysport. And since I've gotten it before, I knew how much I needed. I let Mark know that and he was completely understanding and respectful of that. He didn't pressure me into purchasing more units although it seemed ridiculous that such a small amount would work on me. THANK YOU. All in all, it was a really good experience. Now to see the results...typically I'll see the results in 2-3 days, but for most people, it takes up to 10 days to see the full effects. So I guess we'll have to wait and see! read more

We were turned away from there lack of medical knowledge with deal with patient that are in remission. It wasted an hour of my day. There is no medical doctor on staff at all and it's attached to a urgent care. Just seem to be a money sucking spot read more

Spa is very welcoming! Bianca and Mark are the absolute sweetest!! I like that Mark & Bianca listened to my concerns and gave great feedback and solutions, they didn't pressure you into getting something you didn't need and told me when something I thought i needed wasn't necessary. I wanted to wait a few weeks after my appointment to write a review because I have written great reviews before based on how nice an establishment was and how nice the Medical professional was way too soon and have been severely disappointed when a few weeks later only to find out that I have been duped. I suspected something was amiss at one location I spent quite a bit of money at only to discover that this establishment was injecting her clients with expired Botox and I know that I as one of the unfortunate recipients as I saw NO RESULTS and when I returned to ask them why and all I got was the runaround so I went to google reviews and yelp reviews only to find out that I am not the only person who had the same experience. I NEVER like to write negative reviews for anyone I would just rather not review that person at all if I do not have anything nice to say which in this case I should have but I did not leave a review I just will not frequent her establishment ever again. Hence why I decided to use Groupon to find a suitable administer for my dermal fillers/injections that way if I am disappointed I wouldn't have invested too much and could continue my search for someone else. Oh into my review, I made appointment with Mark whom I was pleasantly surprised that he was patient & really took the time to answer all of my questions so that I knew exactly what I was getting. I didn't feel that he was only there to try to upsell me or make me purchase anything that I did not need. He was very pleasant and forthcoming about the everything & even told me that some of the things that I inquired about was not really necessary which really meant a lot to me because it didn't make him look like he was just there to make money and not have my best interest at heart. . He was very honest and didn't make me feel like I was just a dollar sign. I purchased I couldn't be happier. His products are quality as I saw results within a week and it wasn't just "eh so so" like I've gotton at a few other places ( which I won't return to ) I did get a few facial products that were on display. I can't really comment on those yet as it is still too soon so notice any differences but I will DEFINITELY be back to see Mark for maintenance. Oh also he has a great rewards program for referrals as well. I am so glad I finally found a place that I can trust. Last night was my second visit with Mark first visit was Botox with brow lift and that turned out awesome! This visit was fillers under eyes and cheeks . I have had stuff done in the past and he is far better at it than anyone I have ever used in the past. He is like an artist so knowledgeable and just awesome with his advise and his abilities I feel like a good ten years younger looking with these two procedures. I came down with some flu/cold-like symptoms and was feeling terrible for a couple of days. Always been afraid of needles but decided to get an Immunity Booster IV as i heard it could help me feel better. I received 1L of a concoction of saline, vitamin C, zinc, some pain killer, and magnesium. It took about an hour for all that liquid to go through my body. I got the IV done the evening before, went home and went to bed. The next morning I woke up feeling like a brand new person. I didn't have a headache anymore, didn't feel tired and had so much energy! I wish I had done this sooner! I am 32, a mom, and a registered nurse. I don't trust just anyone with what goes into my face (and due to the luck of the genetic draw, I've got more signs of aging than the average 32yo). I have been seeing Mark for about 6 months now and have never been less than satisfied. His extensive nursing and healthcare background (30+ years) means he knows exactly what he's doing, and my results have been phenomenal. He's done dysport on my forehead and Restylane under my eyes, and it's like an art. He also offers great deals for his loyal clients, and offers facials and peels on top of the cosmetic injections. The spa itself is gorgeous and has such a soothing atmosphere (which is great after a long week of work). Absolutely horrible experience. I went there for filler to help with under eye circles. He gave me a huge lump under one eye. I am going to a doctor now to fix it. And he lied to me about dissolving filler as well. I was told something completely different by a plastic surgeon. I would never recommend him to anyone except for hair removal. read more

After daily Zoom meetings for work where I can see the details of my face, I made the decision to do something about the things I was unhappy with. I had some slight drooping in my face (I'm 40), and saw some texture and hyperpigmentation on my forehead. I reached out to Bolus online and scheduled a virtual consult which was great. Mark answered all my questions and made realistic recommendations for what I needed. We decided on a peel to address the hyperpigmentation and Botox to raise my brows and forehead slightly. The day of my appointment, I was a little nervous, but Bianca (the aesthetician) and Mark (NP/injector) were super catering and sweet. I felt that they focused on my needs and gave me a great experience. Although it'll take a week or so to fully peel and see my Botox results, upon leaving the spa, I could honestly see a slight improvement in my problem areas.
