He's very professional with great bedside manner, and if you ask, he'll explain why you have muscle tensions in certain areas. Deep knowledge of skeletal musculature and how it relates to health and the body. Very intuitive. Skyy made sure I felt comfortable and safe at all times, and before we started, of course asked about what areas I wanted to work on. What sold me was the fact that unlike most other massage therapists, you can tell he pours his heart into his work, and to him you're not just one of a dozen clients. Clearly it's not just a job for him- it's his calling. Most massage therapists have their own specialization of course, but they follow pretty much the same routine every time so nothing is really new, and you can tell it's all just habitual. Skyy allows his intuition to lead and (while still ensuring you're comfortable) will switch things up based on what your body needs. Never met anyone so gifted. After the acrylic set was started, I immediately noticed the application was incorrect. Because the salon was close to closing, I was encouraged to just continue with the service anyway. I declined the pedicure and questioned the quality of the acrylic application. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, I was initially gaslighted and told everything was fine. Once the technician realized I understood how the service should actually be performed, the situation suddenly shifted. I was offered a large discount and asked not to contact management because he said he would "get in trouble." That moment made me extremely uncomfortable. As an African American woman, situations like this can feel particularly unsettling because we are often dismissed or made to feel like we are being "difficult" for simply asking for the service we paid for to be done correctly. At that point, I just wanted to make it home safely and avoid unnecessary conflict. Even though I was uncomfortable and unsatisfied with my service, I still paid and tipped in order to de-escalate the situation and leave peacefully. It has now been roughly three weeks, and the acrylic set still has not properly cured, which raises serious concerns about the quality of the products or application used. I hope this review encourages management to improve both the quality of their services and the way customer concerns are handled. Everyone deserves to feel respected, safe, and confident in the services they receive.
