I honestly wish I found Maxine when I first arrived to Maryland. She's filled with tons of massage knowledge and is very pleasant to talk to. I booked an 90 min sports massage with cupping. Now let's review the massage... Upon entering her home, you'll first sign some standard papers, once that's complete you then will get ready for your massage. She has a nice heated massage table with comfortable linens inside the massage room. She also offers, haircuts, waxing etc. The 90 min sports massage was amazing. She's very strong and knows how to get the knots out. My time actually ran past 90 min and no matter what she likes to end the massage with a wonderful stretch. The stretching was the icing on the cake. My body needed everything she gave me. I was truly satisfied with the massage. I highly recommend you give her massage a try. She will not disappoint. My wife had the medical massage because of her sciatica and scheduled me for a hot stone massage (I wouldn't have chose that for myself but I think she was tired of hearing me complain about lower back pain). My wife and I have been getting massages by Maxine for a few years now. We prefer the in home visit and she brings her table. I have been getting massages for years after having back surgery - it took me a while to find a trained therapist who actually listened and customizes the session to the client's needs. If you want her to focus on your hands and calf muscles for the entire hour she will do just that. Usually an hour is never enough for me I will typically get between 1.5-2hrs. After the massage I feel relaxed of course but also feel like my muscles were worked and stretched and have the therapeutic satisfaction that many massages offer but fail to deliver. I've decided to try a massage with Maxine today, after reading her wonderful reviews, specially the one written by a pregnant woman explaining details about her techniques (I am 28 weeks pregnant as well). My experience was wonderful, she is with no doubt a great massage therapist, who pay attention to detail while doing her magic. Rates were reasonable, specially considering she had to drive all the way from Baltimore to my house in Bethesda. I will definitely use her services again. Maxine has been my/family's masseuse for over 6 years. I have chronic back and neck tension from poor posture and long hours on a computer. Maxine came over for an in-home pregnancy massage in March 2016 and it was WONDERFUL. Not only was the massage a fantastic experience, she also had a foam pad specifically for pregnancy so that I could lie face down (there was a hole for my belly). This was WAY better than any other pregnancy massages I had because it wasn't a situation where I simply had to rotate from side to side - the fact that I could lie face down and feel the proper pressure on my back felt amazing!! A few days after I delivered our baby in August she came back to the house and helped work out the tension and soreness from delivery. This included focusing on areas that would help reduce the swelling remaining from pregnancy (win!). This massage was BLISS - and exactly what I needed - both emotionally and physically. WOW! I read the great reviews and decided to give Maxine a try. I filled out the form online to see if she was available for an in-home massage today. She called me within 20 minutes or less. She was available! The 90 minute massage with aromatherapy was amazing! She massaged every spot just right and with the right amount of pressure. Also, she's super easy to talk to. Very professional. I went to Maxine for a facial and it was excellent! She was easy to get to and parking was right in front. The studio was very clean and smelled calming. She was very personable and tailored the facial to my skin. I have acne prone skin with hyperpigmentation and my skin was glowing after the facial. She even provided me with sample products to take home and try, which I ended up loving. She followed up with me to see how my skin was doing and allowed me to ask any questions.
