It's about a desired taste. We tried this restaurant on a Sunday night when every other restaurant had about an hour wait. I didn't really know what I was ordering but, I tried it anyone. I had a shredded chicken dish. The food is VERY spicy. Mild is spicy. I think I enjoyed the appetizer more than the meal, my partner had the lentil soup, he really enjoyed it. We are no strangers to Indian food, so we were excited to come here to try them out. They offer a lunch buffet with a variety of options for vegetarians off and on the menu. We went during early lunch time when the place was almost empty with a few guests. You have the option to take food to go or stay and relax to indian music. Waiters are attentive and offer great customer service. I recommend the chicken tika masala with some naan bread and mango lsssi. The nuts in the rice accommodate it very well(be aware for those with peanut allergies). We ordered and enjoyed the spinach palak pakora as well. Food was fantastic, but worst service imaginable! 5 people and ordered 5 entrees provided 3 sides of rice and said they were combined. Same with samosas. Charged us 1.99 for each takeout of rice for the leftovers. Explanations of samosas were brushed off. Kept insisting on every person ordering naan bread. 3 separate checks and added service charge and did not disclose it. Very unprofessional and I had taken friends because previously everything was awesome. So disappointed and would not recommend due to the service. Takeout would probably be fine. Part of the bread basket was okay and parts were overcooked similar to crackers. I ordered a diet coke and had to repeat the order a couple of times. The only reason I putted 4 stars is that the music in there is reallllyyyyyy loud like can't hear other people loud. Well this is a little gem worth looking for in McDonough. Located in a new strip mall area this place has been nicely decorated in minimalistic way. Nice bar area as well. Most importantly the staff are very nice and attentive and the food is fantastic. I have eaten Indian in lots of places and most recently next to the Indian embassy in NYC and this place is still a winner. The Bombay bites were great with the chutney and the butter chicken, chicken tikka Masala,and chili chicken were fantastic. I would pass on the Peshawar Nan but the roti was really good. Stopped in for lunch buffet and was very disappointed. The food is really mediocre, there are very few options. If you have so little options at least make the food good. The only good thing was the nan bread which wasn't ready by the time I came back with my food to the table so had to wait about 5 minutes. Asked for more since it was the only good thing really, waited about 15 minutes and it never came. You need to be pumping out that nan bread as it's essential for the spicy food.
