My lovely meal: Medium Efo Riro Soup, Jollof Rice, Soda. But no pounded yam, fork or napkin.
    Ericka G.

The food is good. I was prepared to eat with my fingers but til I realized (upon arrival if my meal) that efo riro isn't served with pounded yam. There is a pounded yam meal option but efo riro is not listed amongst them. So I looked on the menu and knew that must have meant pounded yam is sold as a separate side. It's not. You can't get it or get more of it unless you choose from the limited selections. I'd never had efo riro without pounded yam (fufu). So I looked for the fork to try it the way this place serves it. No fork. Oh so I eat the jollof rice with no fork too? Never done that. So I dig in. I am knuckle deep and belly happy... but.. wait, no napkins? Nuffin. The hell. Well let me drink this soda that I paid an arm & leg for only to learn it's a fountain drink. Hollup... no straw? Am I supposed to be eating like I'm actually in the bush? Why no pounded yam, fork, napkin or straw. I have never in my life. Now, don't get me wrong, the food is good. There's only a teeny bit of spice but it's tastes yummy. But the missing pieces have me questioning how I got here and if I can get room service to deliver me a fork. I should have mentioned... I'm at a hotel. It even said it in my order.

While the ambiance wasn't extraordinary, the food more than made up for it, and the service was excellent. I specifically wanted lamb, and they made sure I received my favorite dish, serving it better than some of the more expensive places I've tried. I highly recommend giving them a try you'll be satisfied, just like I was!

Can you say tasty?!? This place did not disappoint! My first time having Senegalese food and it was…read moredelicious! The young lady at the counter was pleasant and patiently explained the menu items. I believe her name was Yama (sp?). I decided to try the tilapia with Attiéké, my aunt had the red snapper and couscous, which was also tasty, but mine was the showstopper!!! I really wanted to try the jolloff rice, but they were out... maybe next time. Anyway, it's a small spot, but welcoming. The food is cooked fresh! It was late, but I wanted to eat right then and there, so we dined in. The tilapia was like nothing I'd ever eaten, seasoned to perfection and it was fried, but also tasted grilled! What?!? It was so delightfully confusing!!! So meaty and fresh, not one piece of meat was going to waste, not even by the head! The Attiéké by itself, kinda bitter, but I mixed with the onion sauce and omg, Wow! That onion sauce is like none other, you have to try it to understand! It's unbelievably good-- a sauce of onions with onion chunks! I'm so glad I tried it! The gentleman that cooked it-- that man knows his way around a kitchen! I believe his name is Moda (sp?) and he's kind too! I'd definitely visit again!
