They have everything, Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, Jamaican seasonings and Filipino groceries. Owners are so nice here and there were times they'd give you free stuff like a can of coconut milk etc. Just 6 years ago the banh mi was $4.50 now it's $8.50 and roast duck was $10 now it's $20. Whoah! How times have changed. I used to get 4 banh mi under $20. Wow. How I took all that for granted. Now gotta spend almost 50% more. Thanks inflation and horrible economic times. But..... I can't survive without my Asian food. Place is clean, organized and they're still working on restocking the shelves.

I went in for baked tofu and jarred coconut in syrup (great over mango ice cream, FYI), but came out with a bag stuffed with a whole bunch of miscellaneous goodies: - whole "hacked" chicken with sweet soy sauce and hot sauce dips (a little north of $14) - a large bag of pristinely fresh green beans (a little north of $5) - yuba wrapped shrimp/fish paste rolls with a wee sliver of celery inside for crunch - canned lychees ($2.50) - a package of JY Sunshine Corp. spiced (baked/pressed) tofu, a Brooklyn brand we know and like ($2.99* -- note, now $3.99 as of Sept. 2020) - one of those industrial sized containers of lychee coconut jelly candies ($6.99) - Prince of Peace crystalized ginger tea packets Prices are reasonable, sometimes excellent, on par with most large stores in Manhattan's Chinatown, and I still can't come to grips with just how many interesting ingredients there are in this store for me to experiment with. (I resolve to try making banana blossom salad before the summer is out.... and a curry with pea eggplants, a soup with pickled splinter caparid.....) First of all most of the produce is some of the best anywhere; fresh and things other stores don't carry. The meat/prepared food counter in the back has excellent stuff. Their salmon is expensive and they cut pieces that are a little bigger than a portion but its good. Steaks and porkchops are excellent. They carry 2 types of chicken breasts and the more expensive ones are very good. Try the spanakopita. it's delish. We moved to Norwalk a couple of years ago and still shop there. They have fresh grapefruit sections that are delicious and no one else that I have found has them. Also a great variety of nuts and brittles I can't, unfortunately, resist. The staff has never been rude to me. Many don't speak English very well and can be mistaken as rude. All you complainers need to get over yourselves. You get what you pay for and a little grocery store can't compete with a supermarket but the food is better.
