We visited Bomber's Bar and Grill yesterday, eager to enjoy a new dining experience, but unfortunately, our time there was quite disappointing. Upon entering, we noticed the bar was busy, and we took the only two available seats at the bar, which happened to be next to two regulars who were deeply engrossed in conversation. As I settled into my seat, I couldn't shake off the uncomfortable feeling that came from the intense stare-down I received from the regulars, as if I had intruded on their territory. In an attempt to ease the tension, I switched seats with my husband, but the discomfort lingered. For about ten minutes, we sat there while relatives and regulars came and went, but we received no acknowledgment from the staff. The bartender took two phone orders before serving a table that came in after us, leaving us without menus or drinks. At that point, we decided to leave in frustration. The ambiance of the bar was dark and small stuck between two other larger businesses, with dim lighting that made it difficult to see until my transition lenses adjusted. Additionally, there was a pole right outside the door that posed a hazard for anyone exiting. Overall, we were excited to try Bomber's Bar and Grill, but the lack of service and uncomfortable environment left us feeling let down. read more

Passing through in the way to DTW, Yelp called out Bombers and we popped in. Burgers were great, service was friendly, all you would expect! However, what follows blew me away - I forgot a hat, with a sentimental pin attached on the table and didn't realize until we were 30" down the road. I called and spoke with Britney, who had the hat and took my information. Today, on my front porch is a package with the hat, the pin, and a Bombers T-shirt thrown in for good measure. Just, WOW! ZERO stars.....took 1.5 hours for one pizza....!!! which was disgusting! Crust was doughy, cheese was rubbery, no taste.... Go to Pizza Man next door it couldn't disappoint this bad....the cheese sticks tasted freezer burnt and the marinara was cold...YUCK NO for me...yes we told them, didn't seem to care lol we got a "oh sorry" ( you have been warned....) read more

We got there about 4:30 on a Friday and sat at the bar. Not one greeting from the bartender or anyone for that matter. We sat there for a10-15 minutes and still wasn't give a greeting. Wasn't even told they would be with us or any acknowledgement at all. I will try this place again but very skeptical about it being any better read more

Got a meat lovers pizza with black olives and mushrooms added it was fantastic despite the 30 min drive home. The type of pizza box helped a lot. It was sort of plastic coated paper that kept the pizza from getting soggy it wasn't crispy anymore but very except able. loads of toppings with good flavor overall great value read more

I LOVE Bombers!!! This bar has come a long way and is family friendly. My kids love coming here to eat and the atmosphere is definitely family friendly. It reminds me of Cheers. Everyone knows everyone and is friendly. Their food is to die for. Especially their cheesy bread and pizzas. Their sampler basket is always served hot and their beer always served cold. They do show sports and have various events going on throughout the year. After reading Adam W's review, I am in disbelief. His review shows that he is bitter about living in a small town and his review is biased. If you're looking for a good time, cold beer and non-greasy pizza come here!!!! read more

This is our go to bar for food. Before and after virus. I have gotten their patty melt & wings. Both have been delicious. My fiancé always get the fish dinners. We also get their pizza. You can't go wrong with anything. Always made quickly and fresh. Staff are super friendly. You definitely wouldn't think so based on the outside but I promise it's worth trying! Rode our bikes here on the rail trail (nice) on the recommendation of a nearby restaurant (weird but that's the type of people, courteous). Ordered burgers and what can I say but delicious! First off the service was very friendly. We came in on Saturday afternoon so it was pretty quiet but it seems this place could get rocking. Now for food. As I said, the burgers are delicious, bought locally and never frozen. French fries are crispy and yummy. Cole slaw and cottage cheese are options with a basket and both are good. Burgers come naked but they'll add tomato and lettuce. All other condiments come on a tray so you can build what you want (including onions and pickles). Our waitress said their pizza is great and I gave the next door pizza place 5 stars so we'll have to try the pizza next time :) Yes it is a bar atmosphere but if you want a good burger this is the place! read more

Every time I go home to visit my family and I make a trip to visit Bomber's. It is a small hometown bars with many regulars. For some this could be off putting, however if you are friendly and outgoing they will not shy away from a conversation! Susie and Donna make OUTSTANDING drinks and the pricing is beyond reasonable and if you get the chance, order a pizza while the namesake Bomber is in the kitchen. Bomber's can get crowded and busy and loud, but it adds to the experience. I would argue that the previous reviewer simply is an angry Coleman outcast and has decided to belittle his hometown in a means to seek revenge. Bombers is a hometown bar with a working class client-base and as far as I can gather life choices have no place in a review as it is not the clients that should be put on blast. If you like hometown bars and are willing to strike up a conversation, then Bombers will work for you and yours. If that is not your thing than Bombers is not for you, simply put. read more

I live about 100 miles away from my Grandfather and he is alone and not able to get out and when I called you said you didn't deliver but you made an exception for him and made his day! He was so happy and said the food was excellent and he has enough for his meal the next day! He was tickled that you even included a KitKat bar, he loves his chocolate. Greasy deep fried bar food. If that's what you want it's what they have. I got a chicken breast sandwich (something that isn't a heart attack in a meal) and it was horrible. Very expensive for the quality and they messed up our order. Ordered a grilled ham n cheese and got a grilled white cheese and no ham...ntm...had to go back to get sauce they forgot. Solid bar food. The fried perch sandwich is really tasty, and the burgers are great too--pizza is also reliably good. Prices are very reasonable, although the food sometimes takes a while to arrive as the kitchen is small. Beer selection is average. We go there several times a year, but after our visit the other night we will be finding elsewhere to go. The burgers are almost always good, but we are tired of being waited on last to the regulars. If you are not an established regular there you will wait forever for service and for your food. There does seem to be one bartender/waitress that in our case is guilty of this kind of behavior, but for a burger, fries, and a couple of beer in a place the size it is----well, it shouldn't take as long as an hour and a half. She seems to be on duty everytime we go. We are tired of slow service. Go elsewhere. read more

Stopped for the first time and found Bombers to be a very friendly home town bar and grill. The service and food were very good. The owner spent time talking to us and even gave us ideas for an upcoming event. It was nice to have a quiet late evening dinner at an establishment with good food, and that made us feel comfortable and welcome. We'll stop again! read more

Yes it is a small bar atmosphere but that does take away from their food menu. I have lived here for over 20 years and their food has been excellent. How can you call these small town folks losers when half of them are employed by Dow or Dow Corning. I give them credit. They didn't have to leave there town to find a good paying job after high school and college. What can you expect from a town of only 1300. Furthermore the people here in Coleman Care about what goes on in our community. read more
