First time there 8/30/17. I noticed 2 security guards up front made me wonder why. It was just two of us and they sat us in a big booth. Girls had skimpy outfits so there's eye candy for the guys. Food came out quickly. They put chili powder on the fries. I had the grilled chicken fajitas salad. The lettuce was wilted and once again chili powder on the chicken. WTH?! Not everyone likes chili powder and I don't recall if it mentioned that on the menu. The music was so loud it was hard to have a conversation. We won't be going back. read more

Date: 03/24/17 Event. Costa Rica vs Mexico I was able to check out Bombones friday night to watch the game of Costa Rica vs Mexico. Even though I had read many of the Yelpers reviews, I wanted to check it out for myself and write my conclusion. The Arrival: I was greeted by a very rude hostess that asked how many people I had in my party which I responded six. Her response was that my whole party had to be present in order to be seated which I had no problem since a lot of places have this policy. Told the hostess that I understood and a table for four was ok with us. Got the table but I noticed that a lot of booths had only two people seating in them (later on I saw they were holding it for their bigger party) Let our waitress (Stephanie) know and she said that we should be able to sit on one of the booths with no problem. We moved, but to our surprise the hostess told us that the booth was for a dad and his son (2 people) versus our group. We told her that our group was bigger but she kept saying that the dad had a kid and they needed the booth. She wouldn't budge so we decided to let it go and go to our original table. The food: Ordered: Bombones burger, fries, coctail de camarones, street tacos, and boneless wings. The bombones burger was really tasty and the size of it was good for the price. The coctel de camarones was a disappointment, it had a really weird flavor and had to sent it back. The tacos and boneless wings had average flavors. **** THEY DON'T GIVE OUT FREE WATER DURING SPORTING EVENTS. YOU MUST BUY THEIR BOTTLED WATER That's so much bs, they force you to buy water! The service: The only reason I gave this place two stars was mainly for the service from our waitress (Stephanie) she was attentive and helpful throughout our stay. This place could be so much more but due to its management it fails to give the customers the experience they deserve. So these clowns charge a $10 entrance fee although it's a sports bar. Now on top of that they only serve tacos after a certain time. The full menu isn't available after a certain time. Oh wait it gets worse. They attend you once every 15 minutes and the employees aren't even worth $10 an entrance. Bad service and bad management. read more

Trust me it's not worth it! If I could put zero stars I would! I had heard rumors about this place sucking but I had such a great time my first time that I decided to come back. Worst idea ever! Service is terrible! The hosts were rude. Once we sat at the table we waited for about 30 minutes and the waitress just kept walking back and forth to other tables clearly ignoring my table. The bartender just stared at us like our presence was bothering her. I work in the service industry so it was understandable that they'd be busy, especially on fight night but it's doesn't take long to make sure that a guest has been acknowledged. This was my second time there. The first a Sunday evening and the second a Wednesday evening. I was greeted by a hostess and taken to a booth and handed menus. I was promptly attended to by our server. The beer tower had cold beer and the food was really good. I had the grilled Tilapia with rice and a side order of beans. The servers were friendly and attentive as were the hostesses. It's a good casual atmosphere with good food and service. I will continue to go there. read more

Fuck this place. Got seated at 9:15pm on a Friday, waited for a server to come take our orders after the host handed us menus. 30 mins of waiting and no server or any water while waiting. Finally our server sees us and walks by and says "y'all are my table but I'm not gonna serve y'all bc big groups give me anxiety" ...... It was a table of 6. Another server comes to take our order after 40 mins of being here. Food is ok. We also ordered some beer towers, one of the beer towers we ordered was a michelob and the other was a dos equis. I can't tell you if the towers weren't clean or something was in the beer but after pouring it into our cups there would be some substance floating in the cups with the michelob beer. Manager comes over and settles the problem but all and all never coming back. read more

I had stopped by this place after a friend had told me about this new sports bar. This is the old Golden Corral location over by Fry's. The last time I stopped for lunch I had the ceviche and it was really good. I was in the mood for something light this evening and decided to stop by again for the ceviche. It was about 9:15 PM and the place was certainly more crowded than the lunch atmosphere. TV's everywhere!! Definitely a true sports bar. I sat at the bar and was promptly greeted and served by Nelly who was also bartending. She was gracious and attentive. What I did not like about this evening's experience was that there was "valet parking". I stopped to hand the guy my keys and he asked me if I wanted a $5 or $10 spot...I told him I thought is was complimentary...he said NO...I told him politely I would park my own car and he said OK...I thought this was rather cheesy. read more

This is probably by far the best sports bar in the Dallas and Garland area. Service is not great, and the food kinda sucks. The ambiance is the best part. On the weekends the place hires of duty cops to make sure their drug operation goes ok in the restrooms. And if you think of going there during a Monday night football forget about the "customer is always right" as management makes sure of making you feel uncomfortable if you seat at a table for six when you're trying to explain you got more people coming. read more

Well this review was pretty easy because we ordered through the delivery service and food never came. Waited about an hour and realized it wasn't coming so went somewhere else. I think I'll give it another try so stay tuned to see if the service or food makes up for this little mishap. read more

Horrible service. Waitress are horrible the way they talk to customers aren't right never going back.

The food was below average. I had the tacos al carbon, and the chicken was as dry as it could possibly be. The worst part- if you order water, which is usually FREE, they charge you $5 for a bottle of off-brand bottled water you'd pay .89 for at a gas station. I've never seen this before. It's obviously a total rip-off, but the fact that the waitress didn't even mention the $5 charge comes off as really scammy. Definitely never coming back. read more

Restrooms absolutely no toilet paper on game day. Waitress had to practically wave a flag to get her attention for refills. Music loud and obnoxious. Big place nice Atmosphere but blonde hostess with the over grown roots gots to go no customer service skills what so ever. We came here from the other side of town just to try something new. I couldn't believe how many tvs were in this place. You can literally not miss a moment of a game..they even have TVs in the restroom! Ive never seen this in a restaurant before. The food was good and came out really fast. I personally got the burrito which came with rice and beans. If you like to drink there is a bar, and there is plenty of room especially if you count the outside section of the restaurant. Looks like they also have live bands because while i was about to leave they were setting up. I wouldn't mind coming here again to hear one of the bands play. read more

So I eat here all the time. I have at least 3 $60+ Uber eats orders this month alone. I called to place a pickup order for my wife to get on her way home from work and was told they don't do pickup orders over the phone. The phone number has an option to make a pickup order and that's the one I used. I let the young lady that answered know that I've ordered and picked up before. She then hangs up on me. I call back and get another lady on the line and ask to speak to a manager and was told to hang on and she hung up on me. I tried calling back again but now it's saying that the number won't take my call. I wish I had known that the customer service for this place was like this before I I spent hundreds of dollars with them. I have a feeling that my none Spanish accent is the reason I can't order food here with that hostess. As of now I've tried 11x's to call but they refuse to answer the phone now. This was the second restaurant I walked out of with out being taken care of tonight, I guess there are no standards in Garland Texas. I looked at when I walked through the door. I told what I assume was a hostess table for one, she asked if the bar would be okay and I said sure, she pointed to the bar and walked away. I got to the bar to find every seat full or with bottles and/or drinks in front of them so I sat at one of the many empty tables for about 5 or ten minutes watching the waitress in that section having a long conversation with the only other bar table seated, not sure all that personal contact should happen between a guest and employee. I realized that service would not happen here either and left, four people seen me leave with out service and did not look the least bit concerned. She handed us our menus and as we see there's tables around us as well with their waitress serving them. Yet nobody came for 25 minutes and not even take our drinks. the waitresses kept walking by looking at us without helping So we decided to go up to the host and ask "who is supposed to be our waitress." 3 ladies responded "I think it's Ashley" and the host looked around and just told us she'll serve us in a minute. Terrible customer service. My friend and I work for the airlines and we were wanting to go somewhere for food and drinks and the hotel suggested this place. When I asked the hostess about an open table by the bar she handed me menus and silverware so we could seat ourselves. Our server whom I'm guessing was our server came to the table and told us to get up so they could clean the table and left us standing there for about 5 minutes. So we sat back down and when she did come and clean the table then she left and we waited. After watching several servers pass by our table several times I just went to the bar to order. Service at this new sports bar and grill Is not up to par. The staff need better and more professional training. The waitress forgot to bring napkins and utensils, and was constantly going behind the bar to text on her phone. The bartender was to busy messing around with other customers and I saw one man leave because he was ignored. The bartender brissa did not get our drinks garnished correctly and was busy on her phone as well. I have been in the customer service industry for over 5 years and I observe the service every where i go. There was not even a manager onsite greeting the customers and to check if they were ok, like other restaurants do. I do understand its day time shift and the place might not be packed, but that is no excuse for poor service. If I'm going to spend my money and bring in customers then I expect good service, and this establishment could use exceptional training. read more

Went last night for the canelo vs khan fight it was okay place took forever for us to get service after they put us in the very corner where it was hard to even see a tv it was my first time there so me and 2 of my buddies decided we would try it out. Food was okay the thing that really got me was when I asked for my tab and gratuity was already added when there was only 3 of us I thought the law was 6 or more people so I asked the server why it was added and if she could split our tab and she told me no thought it was strange that they add that already to the tab even if your under 6 people I will not be going back here!!! read more

Came to visit this place with some cousins that were coming in from out of town. When we walked we passed a server who did not welcome us in we walked to the from and there was no host. when someone finally came to the front instead of asking us how we were the first thing she asked us where do y'all want to sit. Then when she walked us to our table it took almost 10 minute for someone to take our drink order. When we ordered our food it almost took 30 minutes for our food to get to the table and the wait was not really worth it. Personnel is stuck up, short with the customer, and not friendly.
