Dama and Aaliyah provided fantastic service, and made the visit enjoyable super hospitable! Definitely recommend yall come out and see them !

Worst experience ever. Over priced drinks. $20 to get past the line, even with it being so packed it's a fire code violation! Ran out of limes and shot glasses for 3 patron shots for $46? So a giant cup with no salt, and an orange when asked for lime? No toilet paper in the woman's bathrooms. Floors littered with napkins, per my husband the man's bathrooms are littered with cocaine. You want a drink at the bar? Not happening. You have to squeeze past people just to sign and tip on a stationary tablet? They just let people stay at the bar counter instead of making room for people to order then have the audacity to charge $19 for two beers? I will be reporting them to code enforcement with photo and video evidence, and to my bank for services NOT rendered. I also had an employee stack dirty cups into my current drink. As someone who frequents deep ellum for the last 12yrs, this was the WORST experience. Come here if you dare, but be warned you have to physically push people to order or to even use the restrooms (which will have no toilet paper or cocaine). This bar is one of the reasons deep ellum is no longer the place to be. Also be prepared to deal with second hand marijuana on the "smoking" balcony. TLDR: over priced, disgusting, not staffed well, clientele has much to be desired.

Great restaurant turn salsa/bachata bar! Come here after 3-5pm and you'll see the crowd really transform! We came here from the draw of the music stayed for the food and dancing! This place get wild after 8pm so look to getting a reservation! I ordered there cubano and elote which was more than enough for 2 people. The cubano was just got off the press and smothered with meats of beef and jabon! I would really get this if you're very hungry and looking to soak something up with your enjoyable margaritas! The elote is fresh and so buttery it meats in your mouth in an instant second! What really got us was the ambiance of the either place. Come with good friends and you'll find yourself a great time! The dancing is amazing and the vibe is great with great hostess and very cool bartenders. Don't let them line fool you at front as you can be at the bar and order food until 2am!

Queso was so watery we could not even dip our chips in it. The flavor was non existent as well. The nachos and flautas were okay - we were able to finish them. The drinks tasted off. Either they were using the lowest of lows alcohol or their bartenders do not know how to make a cocktail. We tried their mango margarita and their Pink Matter. Both were terrible.

Very disappointed with the way we were treated by the owner, Wilson. Last night my group and I purchased bottle service. I made my reservation through Instagram DM, the person handling the reservation sent me the menu and did NOT mention there was a minimum (which most places have one an mention it up front). Upon our arrival, the bouncer could not find our reservation, but this issue was resolved quickly by the manager lady- Diana, I think. She escorted us to our table and asked us which bottle we were going to choose. At 11pm we placed our order for a bottle of Tito's, paid, signed the check, and began our birthday celebration. The issue began when our kind waitress, Karen, came up to me at 1:30am informing me that I HAD to buy a second bottle because this was required... I communicated with her that I was not made aware this was a requirement while making the reservation or when we arrived and by 1:30am my guest are too intoxicated to consume an entire bottle in just 30 minutes, especially because they were also consuming from the bar!! She asked me to speak to the manager because she was only doing her job, I told the manager the same thing and her response was "you have to buy the bottle, but don't have to drink it"!? Now why would I spend $200+ more when you are giving this kind of service!? At that point I became frustrated and asked to speak to the owner. Wilson-the owner- was made aware of the miscommunication. His response "if you are not going to buy another bottle you need to leave!! I am here to make business not a charity" who says that to a repeating paying customer!? The saddest part of this was when I told him my guest where still consuming from the bar he asked his bouncers to escort my guest out the back door. I understand that misunderstandings happen, and I am not upset about that. But the owners judgment is very poor. Mr. Wilson, if you are reading this, know that you are in business because WE your customers keep you in business. DO BETTER!!!

Had a large birthday party here on Saturday night to have some drinks, eat some food, and enjoy some live music and dancing. Let's say the signs were there that we had our hopes set too high for this place to achieve. This location was chosen because on their website it advertises live band playing Latin music to dance the night away. That was far from what we experienced. We walked in around 7 pm to an empty place and a DJ playing music from his laptop until 7:30 pm. (possibly doing a sound check). Afterward, it was some playlist, not from the DJ on repeat. Prior to showing up, the restaurant called to try to get a "deposit" for an already confirmed RSVP like entry fee "to be used as credit on the table." That is not an RSVP holding fee if it's a forced charge/credit for eating there. The drinks were good (That's the only reason this is a 2 Star vs. 1 Star review). The food was subpar and mostly felt like it was re-heated up (not made fresh onsite). So many things on the menu were unavailable, which limited our options to roughly 25% of the menu. Had we known there was no live band, we would've chosen another venue. Needless to say, taking all of these factors into consideration, we will not be returning.

Showed up a bit after my scheduled reservation but they couldn't find my reservation at all. The hostess had to call the manager and when the manager looked up reservations, my name was the first two show up. Hmm! They made it sound so exclusive, yet there was nobody even at the restaurant That should have been my first clue to run, but I gave them a chance. Waitress was on her third day and not ready to be on her own. I ordered a salad and none of the ingredients on the salad were on there, waitress says oh they weren't done yet sorry they brought it own to soon. Drinks had no alcohol. Was celebrating my Birthday weekend, made a big mistake by choosing this place. Oh and u may have to drink a margarita froM a plastic party cup if they run out of glasses.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Cafe Salsera for their Thursday taco night! They have a salsa class and taco night with drink specials that is so fun. They have a cute balcony with lawn chair style seating and string lights, and the downstairs is a fun bar with lit up palm trees, a big dance floor with booths around it for salsa night! The party kicks off around 10pm but come early for salsa class and tacos $10 starting at 8:30!

Menu rotated but the food has never failed to satisfy me!

The Mangonada with Tajín and chamoy is delicious. DJ starts playing music around 10PM and the kitchen even stays open until close! (2AM) I love the Latin flare this place brings to Deep Ellum, definitely a staple to the block!

Buyer beware. We ordered through Caviar. First, they didn't have the item I ordered. No big deal, I'll get something else. I ordered the Wagyu Steak Fajitas, my wife, the chicken Fajitas. We also ordered Churros and chips and queso. Seriously...what we got was no chips and queso, foam containers of mixed crap, 2 small cardboard boxes of vomit, and some brown logs in a sea of spunk. Pictures attached. The steak is apparently Wagyu. Really? Looks like shreds of a rubber tire to me. No way this is Wagyu. What a bunch of con artists. Could have gotten a better meal (with everything actually included and not mixed into some kind of Mexican smoothie) for $15 and change at the local Taco Bueno. Hell...even Taco Bell would have taken more care with their food presentation. What a bunch of kaka. UPDATE 1: the Churros are stale and were likely cooked in 2008. They cake them in tons of sugar and cinnamon to cover up the fact that they aren't very good. Seriously, this place is a joke. UPDATE 2: Since I received the comment below, and I don't know how to respond in comment form, I am updating. While I will concede that Caviar owns some of the blame for the state that the food arrived in, so does the restaurant. Rather than shoving all of the condiments into a cardboard box, individual containers could be used. The beans could have been in some kind of container also, rather than in with the rest of the fajitas. Basically, as a rule, I think everything with a liquid component should probably be in its own container. Additionally, Caviar bears no blame for the following: 1. Ordered Chips and Queso and didn't receive them. 2. Ordered a stew on the menu and the restaurant was out. 3. Ordered Wagyu steak fajitas...was NOT Wagyu! 4. Crappy Churros Thanks for the apology and attempting to make it right, but with as many dining options as Dallas has, I seriously doubt we will give your restaurant another try.

The hotel property is like four legs under the table - a great location, a great hotel experience, a great restaurant experience, and a entertainment experience (The Mansion Bar). At least one leg has been kicked out, one is suffering. The Mansion Bar used to have a great recipe for success - proven by how busy and regular the customers were and loyal (or was), and the top tier talent that was routine for 10+ years. Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. I'm hoping whomever is making these decisions can revert back to what was working. Dallas has a lot of great venues that will fill this void.

The service was excellent, and our server gave us some great recommendations throughout the evening. We tried the I Dream of Kiwi, Only Fans, and the Soft Serve Margarita. The first two were refreshing, fruity, and packed with flavor, while the Soft Serve Margarita was a fun twist on a classic. For food, we had the Caesar salad, beef cheek tacos, and the Apothecary Burger with the truffle fries upgrade. The Caesar was a little too heavy on the dressing for my taste, making it quite fishy, so I'd recommend asking for the dressing on the side or going light on it. The burger with truffle fries was easily a 9/10, and the beef cheek tacos were just as good--tender, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. When we walked in, the hostesses greeted us and seated us at the table we had reserved in the Leopard Room. Initially, we were placed at a small half table along the wall. We asked if it was possible to move, and they happily accommodated us. That particular table felt a bit awkward for conversation since you can barely face the person across from you. It might work better for someone sitting alone and people watching rather than having a full conversation. Service throughout the night was great. The staff checked in regularly without being intrusive and made sure we always had what we needed. For drinks, I would say they were just okay. They were not bad, but they also were not particularly memorable. Given the speakeasy concept, I expected a bit more creativity in both flavor and presentation. We ordered the Melting Clock Elixir, Persistence of Berries, Cotton Candy Cloud, and the Surrealist 75. As the night went on, the space became much more crowded and louder once the DJ started playing. If you are hoping to have a relaxed conversation and catch up with friends, this might not be the best spot later in the evening.
