Best chicken enchiladas around Chimmy changa is perfection, brisket filled with a flavor to die for.Good Eats, the food it prepared with Love, like it should be. Many times you go and eat enchiladas and the chicken is flavorless, Not Here. Chicken Enchiladas is Very Tasty the chicken itself is seasoned, together with the toppings makes for perfection. The Chimmi filled with Brisket was Excellent. Just the right amount of crispness with a smooth tender center, The sour cream and cheese topping was Delicious, The cheese topping is very good. Everything was served piping hot, Im thinking everything is made from a Family recipe like I say.. made with not only skilled hand but with pride, not many places serve food made with pride. They are Happy to serve you. Very friendly place. The waiting staff is fast to Take your order with smiles and are actually Very happy to give fast friendly service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Dinning area is spacious with a decorative decor, Solid real tables, not those fake cheaply made tables like Panchos...Really tables for Real comfort, I don't know about yall but to me that means alot, no wobbly water glass spilling tables. Built for a Real Family. It kinda give you a Home Feeling[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Most places have plastic fake plants... Well Here they are real. Snake plants, ivy plants and you can tell they are very well cared for[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've eaten in a lot of places that have decor with dust gathering on them, I can mention a few places where the dust hides from lack of real cleaning. Well, be sure this is not one of those places, you will enjoy clean fresh atmosphere here, its relaxing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Ernesto has come a long way for a family restaurant. No commercial hands here, all home made, not stuff out of a can. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Theres plenty of seating, so if your tired of the same Ole chain restaurant bla bla. This is the place to go for lunch, dinner or happy hour for a nice meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do have a bar , what Mexican Restaurant doesn't...wait take that back...any Real Mexican Restaurant does. Well the menu has great choices, Try them out, Im sure you guys will enjoy the Atmosphere and the cuisine are Great. Oh..don't be surprised if you get addicted to Real Mexican Cuisine.

Their service is good, the beef enchiladas I had were really good but the frozen margarita is worth the trip!

Perfect location in Garland next to the Texas DPS Driver License Center. Terrific Tex- Mex restaurant. Menu has traditional choices including enchiladas, fajitas, and tacos. The soft cheese tacos with queso and rice and beans combination was delicious. The soft tortillas corn and flour were steaming hot . The chips and salsa were a perfect starter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is open and the service was top notch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]Ask for Rudy as your server extraordinaire. A great neighborhood restaurant. The bar was well stocked too. Add this to your favorites list .

We have visited several times and never left a review. This place has truly great authentic Mexican enchiladas, and the flautas are also really good. The food is consistently excellent.

We were very pleasantly surprised. It's even better in my opinion. The people are very warm and friendly. The food is really delicious. I love that they bring not only good salsa with their fresh hot chips, but also a tomatillo sauce and a black bean dip. We've now eaten there several times. The taco meat has a nicely charred flavor. The tamales were very good. (I'm picky about my tamales. I've tried their ranchero sauce, chili con carne, and sour cream sauce. None of them disappoint. Their rice isn't dry like it is at many other Tex-Mex places. And their $5.00 all day frozen margaritas are worth it. We usually go for the lunch specials that run until 4:00. They don't have mole on the menu, yet. I'm looking forward to their future specials. In this day and age where it's hard to keep a restaurant open, I really hope this one survives. It's not fancy, but the food and service make it worth it. And I'm a picky person when it comes to spending money on food I don't make myself.

We have been to some nicer hole-in-the-wall restaurants, that we liked better, and felt more at home. The conference room chairs are uncomfortable, along with the flat decor with loud colors. I.got the crab enchiladas with beans and rice and they were delicious!! Creamy, crab tasted fresh, just the right amount of heat. My husband got the fajita combo and was equally as pleased with his fresh everything was! Chips were warm and salsa was good and spicy. We loved that they bring a spicy salsa and no so spicy as well. We've gone three times and each time we've gotten the same items. Quality and taste never changed- on one occasion we went pretty close to their closing time and STILL...great quality and service. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, the experience just hasn't been the same. The customer service is still decent, and I genuinely enjoy their spicy Mexican martini -- that's honestly the main reason I still stop by. However, the food quality has noticeably declined. Over the past year, I've experienced stomach issues after eating here, which had never happened to me before under the previous ownership. I'm not sure if it's a change in ingredients, preparation methods, or sourcing, but something is clearly different. It's disappointing because this used to be a go-to spot. I truly hope the new management takes a closer look at the food quality and consistency. There's a strong history here, and it would be great to see it restored.

Upon my arrival to this very unassuming little joint, located in the parking lot of an El Rancho Super Mercado, I began to wonder if I was even at the right spot. The building look's like somebody just plopped a box down, has few windows, and has plain white entry/exit doors 180 degrees opposite each other. Entering, I was hoping I was in the right place and using the right door. I was and I did. For my tacos, I ordered one each: Chorizo, Chicken, and Beef. To drink, I ordered a Jarritos Lime soft drink. The tacos were served traditional street style - two small corn tortillas for each - stuffed with meat, onions and cilantro, with a couple of lime wedges on the side. The lime wedges were super juicy and the tacos were hot and delicious!! The red and green sauces were not as full-bodied as I prefer (I like the sauces to have a solid color, smooth almost creamy look, with no seeds visible.) and neither was as hot (spicy) as I would have liked. Both sauces had about the same heat level - a solid "Three." Nevertheless, I wholly enjoyed my tacos and would definitely visit Los Compadres again! The person who took my order was friendly. The prices were reasonable and my appetite for tacos was satisfied! If you're in the area and looking for some good tacos, definitely give this little shack a try! You won't regret doing so. Also, you'll probably wish you'd ordered more tacos than you did, so go ahead and order two extra! You'll eat them!! As far as amenities, there is a handwashing station inside the "dining area," but I left not knowing whether there was an actual restroom on the premises or not. So, on that note... "go" before you go! Eat well. Be well. Cheers!
