My first appointment was an external exam, then for my second appointment they did an internal exam. I learned so much about my post birth body in those two appointments and I was excited to keep up the momentum by committing to a 6-8 week plan. If you have to bring your baby with you... good news! The receptionists are great baby holders or you can have the baby in the room with you. I think it's a great thing to do for yourself after you go through such a traumatic event. If you just had a baby or are about to have one, make sure to include this in your post baby plans!

Due to a severe pubic synthesis diastasis plus a diastasis recti (ab wall separation) it took me several weeks post delivery before I could even lift my legs to walk up stairs again. I have always been active and athletic so I pushed myself as soon as possible after my son was born to begin exercising again. Within 3 years I was even back to playing sports but was surprised to still have some lingering issues, including pain. This practice has multiple locations so there may have been some misunderstanding. I say that because my experience with the Midlothian location of Progress Physical Therapy has been PHENOMENAL! I have worked with Madison (doctor of physical therapy) and Carson (physical therapy assistant). Both are always super kind, knowledgeable, and attentive to my needs. They helped address my presenting issues in a way that gives me extra tools to use throughout the lifespan. The front desk staff are always courteous and professional. I have been dismissed by many doctors who thought my symptoms were just anxiety. After many years and seeing many doctors I was finally diagnosed with POTS. I thought the hard part was over, but I was wrong. Finding a doctor who wants to treat POTS is even harder. Dr. Hartman doesn't shy away from hard. I've seen Dr. Hartman for many years and he is one of the smartest doctors I've ever come across. He listens, understands, and partners with you to come up with solutions to help manage my conditions. He has run tests that most doctors don't that have uncovered causes of some of my symptoms. He is constantly learning new information, thinks outside the box, and shares this knowledge with his patients. Not only have I had such positive experiences with Dr. Hartman, but I have had positive experiences with both of his nurse practitioners Jodi Caddell and Veronica Porterfield. Recently, Ms. Porterfield saw me for an illness and possible tick bite infection and she spent so much time with me and followed up with me when I was having issues and questions, even calling me on her personal time on a Sunday night. Never have I felt more cared for. I have not seen Dr. Jenski but know people who do see him and have just as amazing things to say about him.
